Bryan's POV
I sat in my office staring at my computer screen but not really seeing anything, because all I could think about was the letter I'd left for Alice, and whether our marriage was actually over.
The door to my office opened and Antonio walked in looking concerned. He sat down across from me without being invited.
"You look like hell," Antonio said. "What's going on?"
"I think my marriage is ending," I said, and saying it out loud made it feel more real. "Antonio, I left Alice a letter this morning saying we need to talk about whether this is working."
"Are you insane?" Antonio demanded. "Bryan, Alice is pregnant with your child and you're talking about ending your marriage?"
"I'm not saying I want to end it," I argued. "I'm saying maybe we're too broken to fix this. Antonio we keep hurting each other, and I don't know how to stop."
"So you fix it," Antonio said. "Bryan, you don't just give up on the woman you love because things are hard."
