Irina's POV
I froze. "Me?"
Vera stood and returned moments later with a crystal pendant, placing it in my hand.
The pendant was made from flawless crystal, oval-shaped and perfectly sized for my palm. The cool surface seemed to radiate soothing energy as I held it. Delicate angel wings were carved into the front—a timeless symbol of protection and guidance.
I flipped the pendant over and found a small "Brent" character carved on the back.
"You had this on when we discovered you near Maplewood Town," Vera said, her eyes growing distant with the memory. "When you came to, you remembered nothing—not even your name.
"Seeing this character, plus those olive blossoms blooming that morning, I knew Irina Brent should be your name."
I pressed my fingers to my temples as pain shot through my head. Fragments of memory surfaced—an elderly man clasping a crystal pendant around my neck, shadowy figures hovering nearby whose faces remained blurred.
