Irina's POV
Even after I got back to the village, no memories came flooding back. It was like those years had been torn straight out of my head. But I knew for sure I wasn't Sadie—I didn't look anything like Mathew or Alexander.
With my mind completely blank, the only shot I had at getting my past back was squeezing the truth out of Lauren and her crew.
I watched Wilson staring at Javion, his face a mess of conflicted emotions, some weird anger brewing underneath.
Collin worked fast—within minutes, he'd dragged the couple over. He walked up to Wilson and said, "Mr. Shaw, they're here. The woman didn't make it. Just the man and kid are breathing."
Elizabeth had been trailing behind me, still looking shell-shocked. So much craziness had gone down in just a few hours that she could barely wrap her head around it being over. She gave me a gentle nudge. "Miss, can I really go home now?"
