Irina's POV
Vera had prepared breakfast for us—fresh baguettes and warm oatmeal—and we settled in the yard to eat together.
I watched Seth gnaw at his baguette, his body practically vibrating with restless energy, like he couldn't stay put for more than a second.
Taking a sip of my milk, I reached for the crystal pot I'd brought back from the Shaw house and slid it across to Seth. "Here, take this."
Seth's face lit up like Christmas morning when he spotted the new toy. He picked up the priceless crystal piece, turning it over in his hands like it was nothing more than a trinket from a cereal box.
"Must've cost a fortune, huh?" Seth muttered.
I gave him a nod. "Probably more than you'd want to know. The Shaws sure know how to throw money around."
That comment hit Seth exactly as I expected—his face darkened with rage.
Knowing exactly where his mind was headed, I flicked his forehead. "Don't even think about causing problems."
