Irina's POV
"I'm confident Mr. Cross misread the diagnosis because of lung congestion that showed up on the X-ray," I said, my eyes bright with a subtle smile playing on my lips. "That's why he thought it was a respiratory problem. Truth is, it was just a mark on the scan."
Everyone stared at me in shock. I could practically hear their thoughts: 'She's actually explaining why Mr. Cross screwed up his diagnosis?'
Louise whispered, "That can't be right. The patient clearly had symptoms - bitter taste, dry mouth. How is that not related?"
"Dry or bitter mouth comes down to air quality and how much water you drink," I explained clearly.
I continued, "This guy's a heavy coffee drinker - when he's happy, he'll down tons of it, but when he's feeling low, he might not drink water all day. So these symptoms? Totally normal for someone like him."
Roy stared at me while I spoke, then shot Flynn a bewildered look that seemed to say, "Damn, she really knows what she's talking about?"
