Chapter 8 - 2.5

Chapter 10 — "Pressure Points"

Long chapter integrating Zack–Mira, villain foreshadowing, and business trouble.

The classroom felt heavier than usual.

Not physically — emotionally.

Zack sat at his desk, elbows on his knees, staring at the floor.

Mira quietly read a book, though she hadn't turned a page in ten minutes.

Their tension was so obvious even the background NPCs sensed it.

Daniel whispered to me from his seat:

"Did something happen between them?"

I scanned Zack's posture.

Tight fists.

Shallow breathing.

Jaw locked.

He was ready to explode.

"It's the same as canon," I murmured.

"This is where Zack begins spiraling because he doesn't know how to talk to Mira."

And this time…

It might spiral worse.

Because Daniel was different now — more confidence, more presence.

Mira noticed.

Jay noticed.

Zack definitely noticed.

During break, Mira approached Daniel.

"U-um… do you want to study together after school? I'm free today."

Zack's head snapped up.

Daniel froze.

Jay's pencil snapped in half.

I elbowed Daniel lightly.

"Be careful. Zack's at his emotional limit."

Daniel gulped.

Before he could respond, Zack stood abruptly.

"I'll… walk Mira home today."

Mira blinked.

"Z-Zack? Why—"

Zack cut her off.

"I just want to talk."

This was dangerous territory.

If Zack confessed early…

If Mira rejected him early…

Canon becomes unstable.

Daniel stepped forward.

"Zack—"

But Zack glared.

"Not now, Daniel."

The classroom fell silent.

The New Villain Appears

Later, during lunch, a group of unknown boys approached Daniel.

Not Burn Knuckles.

Not R.K.

Not a known crew.

They wore regular school uniforms but carried themselves like trouble.

Their leader, a tall boy with dyed gray hair, stepped forward.

"You're Daniel Park, right?"

Daniel tensed.

I recognized him instantly.

Baek Seung-Min.

A lower-ranked delinquent in canon — but dangerous enough early game.

A bully known for:

targeting "weaker" students

extorting small businesses for protection money

beating people with no warning

He smirked.

"I heard your mommy's little restaurant is doing well."

Daniel's stomach twisted.

"Why do you care?"

Seung-Min tapped Daniel's desk.

"A business in my territory?

You gotta pay for protection."

Daniel stiffened.

I felt anger rising inside the second body.

"No," I said coldly.

"Back off."

Seung-Min's eyes narrowed.

"Oh?

You got some mouth on you."

He glanced between us.

"Wait… you look like Daniel but… taller and buffer."

Daniel panicked internally.

"H-he's my cousin!"

I facepalmed.

Seung-Min laughed.

"Don't care.

Payment's due tomorrow.

Bring cash or we trash your store."

He walked off laughing.

Daniel sank into his chair.

"This is bad… mom can't deal with this…"

I nodded.

"We'll handle it.

No violence unless forced."

But deep down, I knew canon was shifting.

This villain wasn't supposed to target Daniel until much later.

Our business changed timelines.

And things were accelerating.

Business Trouble Begins

At the shop, Daniel's mother looked tired again.

"We had issues with a neighbor today… someone vandalized the back door."

Burn Knuckles erupted.

"WHO?!"

"SAY THE NAME!"

"WE WILL CLEANSE THEIR IMPURE SOULS!"

Brekdak smacked them with a ladle.

"CALM DOWN."

Daniel whispered:

"It's probably Seung-Min's crew."

Vasco's eyes widened.

"That name is… NOT PURE!"

I explained the situation to Brekdak.

He frowned.

"These guys want money.

They'll get aggressive when refused."

Daniel paled.

"My mom can't face them alone…"

Brekdak placed a huge hand on Daniel's shoulder.

"You won't be alone.

We protect the cooks.

We protect the store."

Burn Knuckles saluted.

"YES, MASTER CHEF!!"

Burn Knuckles Training — Delivery Level 2

To avoid trouble, we needed Burn Knuckles to move faster — fast enough to stay ahead of Seung-Min's gang.

So Brekdak upgraded their training.

Weighted delivery bikes.

Sprinting routes.

Balance drills with boiling soup.

Vasco cried through the whole session.

"This is… NOT… PURE… ANYMORE…!!!"

But Brekdak bellowed:

"THE WORLD IS NOT PURE!

BUT YOU CAN BE!"

The customers loved them though.

Burn Knuckles, dripping with sweat, handing food with discipline?

People trusted that.

The business grew stronger.

Which made Seung-Min angrier.

Zack's Emotional Spiral Ignites

That evening, Daniel found Zack outside the school gym, sitting alone.

Zack looked… broken.

"Daniel… why is everything changing?"

"Huh?"

Zack clenched his teeth.

"You're changing.

Mira's being weird.

Jay's stalking you.

Vasco's… delivering food?!

And now Mira won't talk to me."

He punched the ground.

"I'm losing control of everything."

This was more raw than canon.

Zack didn't open up like this early.

Daniel sat beside him.

"Zack… we're all growing.

It doesn't mean you're being left behind."

But Zack whispered:

"So why does it feel like that?"

It hurt more because Daniel was genuinely getting stronger.

Zack's pride was cracking.

This was going to explode soon.

And nearby, someone watched them.

A pair of cold eyes.

Seung-Min.

Listening.

Smirking.

Plotting.

Perfect timing for a villain.

LOOKISM FANFICTION – "THE SECOND AWAKENING"

Chapter 11 — "The First Real Fight"

Long chapter. Canon-aligned. Includes ALL five plot points.

1. The Sabotage

The next morning, Daniel and I arrived early at the shop.

The moment Daniel's mother opened the shutters—

Her breath caught.

"W-what is this…?!"

Spray paint covered the entire storefront.

PAY UP

THIS IS OUR TURF

DANIEL PARK = DEAD MONEY

Burn Knuckles froze.

Vasco's jaw shook.

"This… THIS IS NOT PURE!!!"

Brekdak cracked his knuckles like thunder.

"They crossed a line."

Daniel's mother trembled, wiping the paint with shaking hands.

"Why would someone… do this…"

Daniel stepped forward, voice trembling.

"Mom.

Stop.

We'll clean it."

Burn Knuckles immediately moved.

Buckets.

Sponges.

Tears.

Vasco cried loudly.

"WE WILL RESTORE THIS PURITY!!"

But the damage was done.

Customers saw.

Whispers spread.

Orders slowed.

The first real crisis for Daniel's business had begun.

2. Seung-Min Escalates

At school, Seung-Min smirked as we walked in.

"Nice paint job.

Cute shop you got there."

Daniel clenched his fists.

I grabbed his arm.

"Not here. Not now."

But Seung-Min stepped closer.

"You have until tonight, Daniel Park.

Pay the fee…

or maybe your mom gets hurt."

Daniel's eyes widened.

That was it.

He snapped.

"DON'T.

EVER.

THREATEN.

MY MOM."

Seung-Min grinned.

"There we go.

Show me some fight."

Jay appeared instantly behind Daniel, dead silent but radiating murder.

Zack pushed between them.

"...What's happening?"

Daniel couldn't answer.

Because the fear in his chest wasn't for himself.

It was for his mother.

And Seung-Min knew it.

He left with a wave.

"See you tonight, money boy."

3. Burn Knuckles Training: The Breaking Point

That afternoon, Brekdak gathered Burn Knuckles behind the shop.

Today's training was different.

No weights.

No drills.

No shouting.

Just him staring at them.

"Boys.

You've trained your bodies.

You've trained your deliveries.

But now I will train something else."

They swallowed nervously.

"Your resolve."

He pointed at Daniel.

"This shop is his mother's hope.

So it is YOUR hope too."

Vasco clenched his fists.

"Yes, Master Brekdak!!"

He pointed at the vandalized shutter.

"If anyone threatens this place…

the deliveries stop.

The food stops.

Your purity stops."

Burn Knuckles erupted:

"WE WON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH THE SHOP!!!"

Brekdak smirked.

"Good."

Because they would need that resolve tonight.

4. Zack vs Daniel — Canon Tension Explodes

After training, Zack pulled Daniel aside.

"Daniel…

What's going on?"

Daniel told him everything.

The threats.

The vandalism.

The fear.

Zack's fists hardened.

And then he said something that changed everything:

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?

I could have helped."

Daniel looked down.

"I didn't want to rely on you."

Zack froze.

Those words hit him harder than any punch.

"You… don't trust me?"

"I do—"

"Then why go alone?

Why hide things?"

Daniel shook his head.

"I'm not hiding—"

Zack grabbed his shirt.

"I'm your friend, Daniel!

I'm supposed to have your back!

So why do you keep acting like you're stronger than me?!"

The air cracked.

This wasn't about the business anymore.

This was Zack realizing the truth:

Daniel was changing.

Growing.

Becoming confident.

Independent.

And Zack wasn't ready for it.

Daniel whispered:

"…I don't want anyone hurt because of me."

Zack's grip loosened.

"You idiot…

We get hurt together.

That's what friends do."

For a moment, everything was silent.

Then—

A crash outside.

Glass shattering.

Screaming.

The shop.

5. The First Real Fight — Daniel's Original Body

We ran.

The street was chaotic.

A rock smashed the front window.

A brick flew past Burn Knuckles.

Daniel's mother screamed.

Seung-Min and his gang were destroying the storefront.

Laughing.

Taunting.

"Where's your money now, Daniel?!"

Burn Knuckles charged.

Vasco roared:

"YOUR ACTIONS ARE IMPURE!!!"

They clashed with the gang instantly.

Brekdak exploded from inside:

"GET AWAY FROM MY KITCHEN!!"

He launched two delinquents into the sidewalk.

But the moment Daniel's mother cried his name—

Everything blurred.

Because Daniel's original body, the weak one…

stepped forward.

His hands shook.

His knees trembled.

He wasn't strong.

He wasn't ready.

But he wasn't running.

Seung-Min laughed.

"Oh look, the twig wants to fight."

He grabbed Daniel's shirt.

"You gonna pay?

Or should we make your mom pay—"

SMACK

Daniel's fist connected with Seung-Min's jaw.

A clean hit.

Everyone froze.

Even I — in the stronger body — stared.

Daniel's original body…

threw the first punch.

Seung-Min wiped blood from his lip, shocked.

Then he snapped.

"You little—

KILL HIM."

His entire crew rushed Daniel.

And the world slowed.

The Fight

Daniel's original body moved purely on instinct.

His stance was sloppy.

His punches were wild.

His breathing was messy.

But he fought.

Because his mother screamed his name.

Because he refused to run.

Because this was the moment that defined the REAL Daniel Park.

A kick sent him stumbling.

A punch split his lip.

Another slammed into his stomach.

He bent over coughing blood.

Zack screamed:

"DANIEL!!!"

Jay sprinted in silent fury.

But I…

I reached him first.

I grabbed Seung-Min's fist mid-swing.

My eyes burned.

"You made a mistake."

I shoved him back so hard he crashed into two boys behind him.

Then I knelt beside Daniel.

"Are you okay?"

He coughed, but smiled faintly.

"I hit him first…"

I grinned.

"Yeah. You did."

Then I stood.

And everything inside me went quiet.

Seung-Min staggered to his feet.

"You… bastard…"

He raised his bat.

I exhaled once.

Then walked forward.

The MC's First Dominant Moment

I didn't need to punch him.

I didn't need to break him.

I just stepped into his space — close, controlled, calm.

The pressure alone made him flinch.

"Listen carefully," I said, voice low.

"You don't touch his mother.

You don't touch his store.

You don't touch his friends."

I leaned closer.

"And you never…

EVER…

make Daniel Park afraid again."

Seung-Min trembled.

He felt it.

The difference.

Not Daniel.

Not second Daniel.

Something else.

Something dangerous.

I grabbed the bat and snapped it in half effortlessly.

Everyone watching went silent.

Burn Knuckles.

Zack.

Jay.

Even Daniel's mom.

Seung-Min backed away.

"F-fine!

FINE!

We're done!

This isn't worth it!"

His gang scattered.

Leaving the broken bat at my feet.

6. Aftermath

Daniel's original body collapsed.

Zack caught him.

"You idiot…

Why would you fight like that?!"

Daniel smiled weakly.

"Because…

I'm tired of running."

His mother hugged him tightly.

"You brave boy… my brave boy…"

Vasco knelt in front of the broken storefront.

"We will restore this purity.

We will protect this place…

FOREVER."

Burn Knuckles saluted.

Brekdak crossed his arms proudly.

"You fought like a man, Daniel."

And me?

I looked at Daniel…

at the boy who was finally learning how to stand up…

And I whispered:

"This is only the beginning."

LOOKISM FANFICTION – "THE SECOND AWAKENING"

Chapter 12 — "Wounds, Rumors, and Rising Shadows"

A long, slow-burn chapter. Canon-aligned. Following aftermath, character growth, and foreshadowing Daniel's father-related enemy.

1. The Day After the Battle

Daniel woke up in his original body with aching ribs and bruised cheeks.

Every breath hurt.

But when he touched his face,

He smiled.

Because this time the pain was something he chose.

Not bullying.

Not humiliation.

A fight he stood up for.

A fight he didn't run from.

He whispered:

"…I did it."

In the second body, I felt proud.

"You didn't just fight, Daniel.

You protected something."

He tried to sit up and winced.

"Oww—"

I grabbed a pillow and placed it behind his back.

"Take it slow. You're injured."

Daniel mumbled:

"You sound like my mom."

2. School Reaction — Rumors Begin

When Daniel arrived at school, all eyes turned toward him.

Whispers spread across the hall.

"That's him, right?"

"He fought Seung-Min's crew?"

"But he's the weak Daniel, isn't he?"

"No, I heard he punched first!"

"He protected his mom's restaurant!"

"Respect."

For the first time in his school life…

people weren't mocking him.

They were admiring him.

Zoe stared from behind her notebook, face red.

Jay followed Daniel silently, glaring at anyone who looked at him the wrong way.

And then—

Zack stood in front of Daniel.

Expression unreadable.

The hallway froze.

Zack looked at the bruises on Daniel's face…

and his fists trembled.

"You idiot," Zack muttered.

"You almost got yourself killed."

Daniel smiled.

"But… I did punch him."

Zack stared at him.

Then he grabbed Daniel's shoulder.

And pulled him into a half-hug, half-headlock.

"You stupid… brave… reckless jerk."

He squeezed harder.

"It should've been me there."

Daniel shook his head.

"It's my fight, Zack."

Zack exhaled.

"Next time… let it be OUR fight."

This was canon Zack.

The loyal, protective, hot-headed fool.

Their friendship grew today.

Slowly.

Naturally.

Just like the original.

3. Mira's Confusion

During lunch, Mira approached Daniel.

She gently touched his bruised cheek.

"You fought… for your mom?"

Daniel froze.

Her touch was soft.

Comforting.

Too close.

"I… couldn't just stand by."

Mira looked at him differently than before.

Not pity.

Not sympathy.

Respect.

"You've changed, Daniel.

Not just your looks…

Your heart feels stronger."

He blushed.

Zack from across the room nearly exploded.

Jay silently glared daggers.

Mira continued:

"If you ever need help studying or… anything… tell me."

She smiled warmly.

And left.

Daniel sat there stunned.

I whispered inside the second body:

"She's starting to notice you."

He covered his face, embarrassed.

But Mira wasn't the only one watching him today.

4. The Shadow Connected to Daniel's Father

Behind the school gates, a black car waited.

A man in a dark suit stood beside it.

Tall.

Athletic.

Emotionless.

With a fist-shaped tattoo on his wrist.

He spoke into a phone.

"Yes.

The boy fought back yesterday.

Just like you predicted."

A deep voice responded faintly.

"Keep observing."

"Yes, Chairman."

The suited man turned his gaze toward Daniel in the courtyard.

"But should we intervene?

The gangs are approaching him faster than anticipated."

A pause.

"No.

Let him grow.

I want to see how strong… my son can get."

Click.

The man pocketed his phone and smirked.

"Daniel Park…

You have no idea the world you're about to enter."

The car drove off silently.

I felt a chill down my spine.

Not canon.

But fits perfectly.

Daniel's father was watching.

And the man in the suit?

Lim Jin-Hwan.

A secret operative.

Ex-crew member.

One of Gapryong Park's hidden assets.

Someone dangerous.

Someone who would test us later.

5. Business Rebuilding — Burn Knuckles' Redemption

After school, we returned to the store.

Burn Knuckles were already there.

They had paint buckets.

Brushes.

Cleaning tools.

Construction tape.

Vasco stood on top of a ladder holding a giant sign:

"PURE FOOD FOR PURE PEOPLE"

He grinned proudly.

Daniel's mom covered her mouth.

"Oh my… you boys…"

Vasco saluted.

"We will rebuild this place stronger than before!

No impurity will stand!"

Burn Knuckles cheered.

Brekdak handed them supplies.

"Stop yelling and start painting."

Daniel's mother looked at her son's bruised face.

She gently placed her hand on his cheek.

"You fought to protect us… Daniel…"

He lowered his head.

"I'm sorry mom… I scared you—"

"No," she whispered, hugging him.

"You made me proud."

Daniel's eyes welled up.

Burn Knuckles cried in a group hug.

Brekdak smacked them with towels.

"ENOUGH TEARS!

YOU'LL MAKE THE FLOOR SLIPPERY!"

6. Seung-Min's Revenge Isn't Over

That night, while we cleaned the street, a text message arrived on Daniel's phone.

Unknown Number:

"Round 2. Don't hide behind your friends."

Another message followed:

"We're not done, Daniel Park."

Then another:

"This time, we break YOU."

Daniel's hand shook.

I took the phone and looked at him.

"We'll be ready."

He nodded.

Slowly.

"…Yeah."

Because the boy who used to run away…

Was now learning to stand his ground.

7. Final Scene — Foreshadowing the Next Arc

As Daniel locked the shop door, he looked at the rebuilt sign.

Burn Knuckles headed home.

Vasco humming.

Brekdak stretching his shoulders.

Zack waiting for Mira.

Jay stalking Daniel silently.

Life was chaotic.

Painful.

Messy.

But it was moving.

And in the distance, the man in the black suit watched from a rooftop.

"The growth is satisfactory," he whispered.

Another voice, through an earpiece, responded:

"Continue surveillance.

The Chairman wants him ready before we engage…"

The suited man nodded.

"Yes.

Before the Workers and Four Major Crews collide with him."

He looked at Daniel with sharp eyes.

"Your rise begins now, Daniel Park."
