Chapter 18 - Echoes of Godhood

As soon as Kavi pulled out that door which was embedded deep in the ground and stepped inside it, he felt something extraordinary.

He realized that the very root of this world lay in the earth itself, where every particle of the ground contained a grand fusion of metal.

In the elements of the world—where fire, water, air, and life are responsible for creation and destruction—metal was the element that endured intense heat and transformed its own form.

Then a light emerged, so intense that it blinded the eyes and filled the entire world with sound.

It felt as if the earth itself opened its arms and absorbed Kavi within it.

For some time, lightning, rain, and storms raged violently, and after the earth split open, a mountain-like structure appeared.

The moment a white lightning bolt struck that mountain, it shattered completely, and from within it, Kavi was reborn.

Now he felt far stronger than before.

His arms felt as heavy and powerful as mountains, and the glowing veins in his body seemed as if molten metal was flowing through them.

Between his white eyes, the black pupil appeared as if an entire vast world was contained within it.

His hair was white and shone with the color of raw earth.

He was no longer who he once was.

This was his new birth.

He had now become a High Tier God Heir.

At the same time, the light from the teleportation flickered, and as it faded, Kavi and Siya found themselves standing outside the trial ground.

Siya spoke, "Kavi, are you okay?"

Kavi replied, "Yes."

Then Kavi said, "Siya, you look very different… you've become very beautiful."

Siya replied, "You too. You feel taller and much stronger."

Both of them were looking at each other in a very strange way.

Then Siya spoke, "Where is Ansh? Has his trial not ended yet?"

Kavi replied, "I don't know."

At the same time, Ansh was still feeling the aftershocks of his transformation.

His heart was pounding loudly, but not because of exhaustion—this was something else.

He could feel divine energy flowing within him—a steady pulse of power he had never experienced before.

He had crossed a boundary and become something more than human.

The weight of this new truth fell upon him as he tried to understand it by looking within himself.

Ansh had seen Neeraj during the trial before, but this time Neeraj felt different.

More solid.

More… connected.

Ansh slowly stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Neeraj.

Neeraj gave a soft smile of recognition.

In the sunlight, his existence seemed to shimmer faintly—almost ethereal.

"I knew you would return,"

Neeraj said calmly, his voice filled with ancient wisdom.

"You have finally found the path, Ansh.

The power you were searching for was always within you.

You just needed to find it."

Ansh took a deep breath and nodded.

"I felt it, Neeraj.

But it wasn't just about gaining power.

It was about understanding who I am."

Neeraj stepped closer.

The intensity in his eyes pierced the air between them.

"Exactly,"

he said.

"And now the final step is yours to take.

You no longer need a guide.

The Ansh who wandered through the trials is not the Ansh standing before me now.

You have become far more than that.

We were once separate—you and I.

But now…

now we are one."

Ansh's eyes widened.

His mind spun as he tried to grasp the meaning of those words.

"One?"

he echoed.

Neeraj's form flickered again, and for a moment, it felt as if Ansh was looking at himself in a mirror.

The same divine energy flowing within Ansh pulsed inside Neeraj as well—as if they were two halves of a single whole.

"Yes,"

Neeraj whispered.

"Everything I am, everything I was, is now yours.

My path is now your path.

My strength, my knowledge—everything.

You no longer need to follow in anyone's footsteps.

You are a god now."

Ansh's heart swelled under the weight of those words.

From the moment he touched the relic, he had felt different,

but now—hearing it spoken aloud,

being called a god—

it was overwhelming.

A low-tier god, perhaps,

but a god nonetheless.

His journey was not yet over,

but now he stood among the gods—

no longer a mere human.

"From now on,"

Neeraj continued,

"you must forge your own path.

The road to godhood is never easy,

but you have taken the first step.

The rest is now in your hands."

Before Ansh could respond, Neeraj's form shimmered again.

Now it felt as if Neeraj was no one else but Ansh himself, as though Ansh was looking at his own reflection in a mirror.

Then both of them completely merged into one another.

Ansh stood there, staring at the place where Neeraj had been.

Inside him was both a strange emptiness and a deep sense of completeness.

Neeraj had been his guide,

his teacher in the shadows.

But now…

their roles had changed.

They were one and the same.

With a soft surge of energy, Ansh found himself along with Kavi and Siya back in the temple courtyard.

Priests, sages, and devotees bustled all around,

but everything felt distant to Ansh.

His mind was still tangled in everything that had happened.

As the three stood there, Kavi looked at Ansh.

His brows furrowed in shock.

"Ansh, you look different,"

he suddenly said.

"Your hair used to be blonde…

how did it turn blue?"

Ansh looked at himself and realized Kavi was right.

His appearance had changed.

Siya and Kavi had changed too, but their changes were subtle.

But Ansh's deep blue hair and the divine glow in his eyes were such that anyone standing before him felt an instinctive urge to kneel and worship him.

Kavi laughed, shaking his head.

"Since when did this blue-hair trend start, Ansh?"

SSiya, who had been quiet till now, smiled lightly.Ansh looked at Siya and Kavi and said with a faint grin, "Looks like the trial didn't just give us powers… it came with a fashion upgrade too."All three of them burst into laughter. But deep down, Ansh still hadn't gotten used to these changes.

"Maybe this is what happens when you become a low-tier god,"

he said. he thought. "Everything changes."

Before they could say more, chaos erupted in the temple courtyard.

Several priests rushed toward them,

their faces filled with awe and excitement.

The elderly priest leading them—his long white beard flowing—

immediately bowed before Ansh,

his forehead almost touching the ground.

"Glory to God Ansh!"

he proclaimed loudly.

"You have achieved what very few humans ever could.

You are the third human to attain the rank of a low-tier god, and your friends are among those great heroes who have proven themselves by passing the God Trial.

We are blessed to witness this moment."

The other priests bowed as well.

"Glory to God Ansh! Glory to the great heroes!"

Ansh was stunned.

He raised his hands awkwardly.

"Uh… thank you?

I wasn't expecting this…"

The elderly priest straightened, pride shining in his eyes.

"You are now a god, Ansh.

Even if you are still a demigod for now, you have reached the level where the greatest powers of the world exist.

And your friends have also become High Tier Heirs, with very bright futures."

"You are divine,"

he continued.

"Serving a god is our sacred duty.

From today onward, all your expenses will be covered by the temple, and we will also bear the full cost of your own Water Palace in the heavens.

You are now free from worldly concerns."

Ansh's eyes were calm as he spoke,

"You're saying… the temple will handle everything?"

The priest nodded solemnly.

"Yes, God Ansh.

You are divine.

It is only natural for the temple to serve you."

Kavi and Siya stood frozen.

Now it truly sank in—

Ansh had really become a god.

"Wait…"

Siya said.

"Ansh… are you really a god now?"

Siya's eyes widened.

"I knew you were special…

but a god?

That's on another level!"

Then—

shock turned into excitement.

Siya cried out in joy and hugged Ansh tightly.

All the pain, suffering, and hardship she had endured vanished in an instant.

She was crying—but out of happiness.

"This is insane!"

Kavi shouted, abandoning his calm nature.

"You're a god now!"

Kavi smiled and hugged him as well.

"You did it!

We're friends with a god!"

Ansh, still trying to grasp reality,

laughed along with them.

The burden of his new position was heavy,

but his friends' joy made it lighter.

The priests watched the scene in silent reverence.

They knew—

this was not just a moment for Ansh,

but a turning point in history.

The rise of a new god.

As the sun began to set over the temple,

long shadows stretched across the courtyard.

Ansh, Kavi, and Siya stood together—

their bond stronger than ever.

They had faced the God Trial,

and each of them had changed.

But now—

an even greater challenge lay ahead.

To move forward in this world with newfound power,

with destinies

that had not yet fully unfolded.

Ansh looked up at the sky.

The divine energy still throbbed within him.

And for the first time—

he fully accepted what he had become.

A god.
