Chapter 318 - Chapter 318: Creator berserk avatar, Giratina, come on!

"Kyogre, Hydro Pump!"

Damian decisively gave the order.

Kyogre opened its mouth without the slightest hesitation, the blue water glow gathering inside, and a huge Hydro Pump shot directly toward the grand waterfall behind.

Boom!

Along with a roar, the violent splash of water exploded outward.

"Screech~!"

Another piercing shriek rang out, the entire grand waterfall trembling violently, the black enormous shadow getting closer and closer.

The dense black fog swirled faster as well.

The blood-red lights in its eyes suddenly widened, like two large lanterns.

The black wind pressure continued to swell, and in the next moment the entire grand waterfall was ripped apart, a ferocious black storm sweeping in.

Darkness Storm!

"Retreat."

Damian ordered immediately.

Kyogre reacted quickly, instantly carrying Damian to retreat.

The darkness storm roared in, the strong wind pressure making Damian squint slightly.

This is a move he has never seen before—could it be a special Move of Shadow Lugia?

"Screech~!"

The shrill cry sounded again, and beneath the broken waterfall a huge black Pokémon slowly rose, as if a demon, its blood-red eyes filled with malice and brutality.

Shadow Lugia!

Its shape was almost identical to a normal Lugia, but Shadow Lugia's entire body was purple-black, and those blood-red eyes gave a supreme evil vibe.

"Mutated Lugia?!"

Kyogre looked at this oppressive Shadow Lugia with doubt, though it had heard Lugia's mother talk about it.

But seeing it in person, Kyogre was still astonished.

Honestly, it wasn't unfamiliar with the Lugia clan—Lugia dwell in the deep sea, after all, even if contact isn't frequent.

Yet seeing the Shadow Lugia before it, Kyogre was truly shocked.

"Screech~!"

Shadow Lugia's eyes flashed with blood; it tilted its head up and let out another shriek, the living black distorted fog flowing into Shadow Lugia's body.

Dark energy swirled in Shadow Lugia's mouth, and with a heavy head shake, it shot toward Kyogre.

Dark Pulse!

Kyogre's gold-blue aura flashed, and in the blink of an eye it entered Primal Reversion form.

A massive Hydro Pump erupted, meeting the Dark Pulse.

Boom!

Hydro Pump and Dark Pulse collided in midair, two energies wildly clashing, finally exploding.

A strong gust of wind surged outward.

Indeed, very strong!

Damian's mouth curled into a smile, pride gleaming in his eyes.

"This Dark Pulse seems to have Dark type—Psychic/Dark? Or Dark/Flying?"

Damian considered the Shadow Lugia's attributes; such extreme malice surely means Dark type.

But anyway, fighting here would be inconvenient.

This is the island's underground depths; fighting here would really limit moves, otherwise the island might collapse.

"Go, lure it out."

Damian patted Primal Kyogre.

Primal Kyogre understood the meaning and immediately spun around, accelerating out of the underground space.

Shadow Lugia, of course, wouldn't stop; its malice-corrupted mind was almost completely consumed.

Kyogre's Hydro Pump earlier had driven it to the edge of reason; now its mind was only violence.

Seeing Primal Kyogre retreat, Shadow Lugia's wings beat and it gave chase.

Black energy pulses sprayed toward Primal Kyogre without mercy.

But Primal Kyogre, though massive, remained extraordinarily agile; none of the Dark Pulses hit.

On the ground.

Caitlin and Dawn were resting, Little Lugia soaking in the sea.

But at this moment Little Lugia seemed to sense something and suddenly turned its head toward the distance, eyes looking very peculiar.

"Ugh!"

"What's wrong, Little White?"

Caitlin, hearing Little Lugia's whimper, moved over in puzzled concern.

"Miss Caitlin, look over there!"

Dawn hurriedly pointed toward the distance.

Beyond the horizon, a towering wave rose, and a gigantic gold-blue Pokémon surged up from the sea, floating in the air.

That was Damian's Primal Kyogre!

Caitlin was not unfamiliar, but right behind it followed a black Lugia that rose from the ocean depths, screeching toward Primal Kyogre.

That piercing cry was incredibly jarring to the ears.

Black aura spilled out, like a source of darkness, rapidly spreading through the sky.

The entire world darkened, oppressive and evil.

"Is that a Pokémon? Shiny Lugia?"

Dawn stared in astonishment at Shadow Lugia from afar—Shiny Lugia? That doesn't seem right.

Shiny is only a color difference, after all, but this Lugia clearly isn't just about its color.

That deep, terrifying malice and demon-like blood-red eyes filled with fear.

"No, it isn't Shiny." Caitlin shook her head. "But I don't know the exact reason either."

Little Lugia looked at Shadow Lugia with confusion and worry.

It felt Shadow Lugia gave it a conflicting impression, as if it were its father, yet not.

Meanwhile over with Damian.

Primal Kyogre glared at the rolling "dark clouds" overhead and almost sneered at the idea of stealing the weather from him.

Primal Kyogre admitted that this "Mutated" Shadow Lugia was incredibly strong, but weather is his strong suit!

Let you see what Primordial Sea really looks like!

Primal Kyogre wanted to unleash Primordial Sea to bring down rain, but Damian stopped him.

"No need to change the weather; there's no necessity."

Damian spoke to Primal Kyogre; he didn't intend to use Primal Kyogre to fight here, so Primordial Sea didn't need to be invoked.

"Besides, I've prepared a good opponent for you."

Damian looked at the Shadow Lugia that was itching to strike, a smug smile on his face.

"Giratina, come on."

Perfect, after obtaining Giratina, he hadn't yet fought with Giratina in battle.

A deep black vortex like liquid mercury formed in front of Primal Kyogre, and the master of the Reverse World—glimmering with a ghostly glow—slowly appeared from the vortex, his dragon eyes calm yet brimming with brutality as he fixed his gaze on Shadow Lugia.

A colossal centipede-like grotesque dragon body swam out, the black vortex gradually fading.

Origin Forme Giratina!

"Which Pokémon is that?!"

Dawn stared in astonishment at the Pokémon that appeared before Damian; she didn't recognize this one.

But that didn't stop her from recognizing how incredibly strong it looked.

"That is Giratina, God of Creation, the Creator Berserk Avatar, incredibly powerful."

Caitlin's eyes shimmered with pride as she watched the boy standing on Primal Kyogre's back.

Behold! The mythic god of creation, its berserk avatar, now fighting for Damian!

"Mr. Damian is really amazing~" Dawn exclaimed, genuinely impressed—Mr. Damian is just too strong!

"Rotom, we've got to capture this well."

"Leave it to me, Rotom~"

A hovering Rotom camera chirped, ready to record.

Yes, this was Caitlin's plan; she'd noticed Damian's "highlight moments" were numerous, but not captured, so she had Rotom enter the camera to turn into a Rotom Camera.

The concept is similar to a Rotom Pokedex or a phone Rotom.

But Rotom Camera can film on its own, no need for Caitlin to operate it, which is more convenient.

Caitlin herself isn't great with filming devices; as for phone filming, there's no camera that captures as well.

In the sky, Shadow Lugia screeched a brutal cry toward Origin Forme Giratina, though its mind had been corrupted by malice.

Instinct, however, warned Shadow Lugia of Giratina's strong threat, so it did not move rashly.

Yet upon hearing Shadow Lugia's taunt, Origin Forme Giratina's dragon eyes shimmered with dangerous light.

Especially, it sensed an unpleasant "flavor" from Shadow Lugia that it didn't like.

The centipede-like colossal frame slowly twisted, ready to strike at any moment.

"Giratina, can you tell me why Lugia became like this?" Damian asked, curious.

This thought came spontaneously; after all, Giratina has lived through Sono mono to the present, watching the world pass by.

Although it has always resided in the Reverse World, it has seen a lot.

"Because of its power."

Giratina answered in a deep telepathic voice.

"?"

"Plate."

Giratina remained concise.

"Do you mean the Dread Plate?"

Damian instantly understood.

Giratina did not continue; as soon as it appeared, it sensed Shadow Lugia's aura of Plate.

"Meaning it's because of the Plate."

Damian wasn't surprised; no wonder Lugia would become Shadow Lugia, and its strength would be so formidable.

Arceus's Dark-type Dread Plate.

For all Pokémon, as the source of power for the World's elemental forces, the Plate is a treasure of absolutely immense value.

Yet obtaining a Plate, even if Arceus isn't pursuing, can be dangerous, because absorbing too much power can affect the Pokémon itself.

For instance, in anime plots, Heatran—affected by Fire type Flame Plate—transformed into a berserk fire monster.

Heatran is a legendary Pokémon, yet it was still dramatically affected by the Flame Plate's power.

Thus thePlate's power is terrifying.

"But where did that Dread Plate come from? Did Arceus misplace it?"

Damian looked at Shadow Lugia with a puzzled gaze; if the transformation is due to the Dread Plate's influence,

then the key question arises: where did this Lugia get the Dread Plate?

It can't be Arceus's misplaced Plate, right?
