Chapter 63 - New Strength And Compassion

A tense, almost electric silence hung in the opulent drawing-room of the Altavis estate. Lord Altavis, the Duke himself, leaned forward, his gaze piercing.

"A mission? What mission did the Goddess give you, Kazien? And what chaos will this world experience in the future?"

Kazien, the youngest son, stood tall despite the weight of their questions. He took a deep breath, his voice ringing with a conviction that belied his youthful appearance. "There will be many dungeons appearing simultaneously all over this world! Before that time comes, I must strengthen everyone's power!"

Duchess Larina's hand flew to her mouth, a gasp escaping her lips. "Dungeons? What is dungeon? Is that a dangerous place or a place inhabited by many monsters?"

"That's right, mother! And at the climax, I will face Lunarias. He is the evil god who is the cause of this world's chaos!"

No one had ever imagined that their whimsical, often cheeky, youngest son, Kazien, would be tasked with such a crucial role as the world's savior. Duchess Larina couldn't even hide the fear pooling in her eyes. "Kazien, I'm very worried about the fate of you and this world."

Kazien offered her a reassuring, though slightly strained, smile. "Don't worry, Mom! I will do my best to ensure that this world is not destroyed by that evil god!"

Davin, his older brother, frowned. "Kazien, you do realize that you will be fighting a god, right? Lunarias is no common foe."

"Of course, Brother Davin! I am very aware of that. But, Goddess Nirfelia has given me everything I need to fight him!"

Everyone present, including Alvin, Kazien's future husband, leaned in eagerly. What could the Goddess have prepared? The answer came immediately.

With a soft, shimmering sound, a pair of magnificent silver wings unfurled from Kazien's back, catching the light like liquid moonlight. Alvin's eyes went wide with shock and pure amazement at the sight of the beautiful wings.

"These wings are the same as those of Goddess Nirfelia," Kazien explained. "She said, I need the power of the gods to face Lunarias."

Duke Elgard stammered, his mind reeling. "A-Are you a god now?"

Kazien threw his hands up in exasperation. "Father! Why do you always ask me that? I am human! Human! Your son! Kazien Altavis!"

The Duke burst into laughter, the tension briefly broken. "Hahaha. I think I don't need to worry."

Kazien looked at his father with a grumpy frown. Seeing her son's face crumpled in annoyance, Duchess Larina immediately reached out to him.

"Don't frown like that, my son. Your handsome face is lost. Come, let me calm you down."

Kazien folded his wings, turned, and hugged his mother tightly. "Warm! I remember when I was little, Mother always held me like this."

"Do you still want to be cuddled, my little savior?"

"Just a moment!"

Instead of simply returning the embrace, the Duchess, consumed by curiosity, reached out and gently touched the magnificent silver wings on her son's back. She stroked them softly. What she felt in response was not relaxation, but a sudden, tightening grip around her body.

Why am I like this? I can barely contain myself when my wings are touched like this. Kazien thought, a bewildered flush spreading across his face.

Then, Duchess Larina felt something firm suddenly protruding from her son's groin, throbbing intermittently against her.

She tried to confirm it once more, stroking the wings gently again. This time, there was a creaking sound of his clothes, followed by Kazien's strained, labored breathing.

Was it because I stroked his wings that my son became aroused like this?

She looked at her son's face and was shocked to see it flushed deep red, his breath coming in sharp pants.

"All of you! Don't ever touch, let alone stroke, his wings!" she declared, her voice firm.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Selena asked, confused.

"It seems like these wings are something very sensitive. I don't know what happened, but right now he's at the peak of his lust!"

No one would have thought that the wings of a savior would be such a sensitive area.

"Kazien, put your wings back!"

"Y-Yes, Mom. Hahh... Hahh... Hahh..."

Watching the whole exchange, a slow, delighted grin spread across Alvin's face. I can use those wings so that he will be willing to do it with me in the future! he thought, practically vibrating with excitement.

Kazien was shocked to see Alvin's devilish grin. "A-Alvin, your grin is giving me goosebumps."

"Shut up! I was thinking about something," Alvin quickly retorted.

"About my wings, right?"

Gasp! Alvin's breath hitched, the sudden realization of being read almost making him forget how to breathe.

Kazien narrowed his eyes. "Before we are officially married, I will never allow you to touch or stroke my wings!"

"Why are you so stingy with me? I am your future wife!"

"Still just a future wife and not officially my wife! Of course, I will always protect your chastity until the day we get married!"

Alvin stuck out his tongue in a mocking gesture.

"What's wrong with you? Do you want us to have children that badly?" Kazien asked.

"What a silly question you're asking? Of course, I really want to have children with you! You're the worst husband-to-be!"

"Hahaha. I never thought my cute little brother would be the worst husband-to-be." Virena teased.

Kazien simply sighed and tried to regain his composure. Slowly but surely, his breathing returned to normal.

"Why were you stroking my wings like that, Mom? What if I lost control? I'd definitely be killed by Dad!"

"Hahaha. I'm sorry, Kazien. I was just curious about your wings." the Duchess apologized, still suppressing a giggle.

"Oh well, the important thing is that I can still control myself."

Kazien then waved his hand at Ritalia, his younger adoptive sister. "Ritalia, come here!"

She approached her brother. Without hesitation, Kazien gently guided his little sister to sit on their mother's lap.

"Brother, what are you doing? Why are you making me sit on her lap?"

"Just enjoy the warmth of a mother's embrace."

Duchess Larina hugged her tightly. Ritalia closed her eyes, feeling a warmth she hadn't realized she was missing. She hugged back, and before she knew it, soft sobs began to shake her shoulders.

"Are you feeling comfortable, Ritalia?" the Duchess whispered.

"Very comfortable, Mother! I missed this warmth so much! Sob."

Rosalia and Raliana, Ritalia's sisters, understood her feelings perfectly. Ritalia had lost both her biological parents to monsters when she was five years old.

"Ritalia, you are already my daughter! If you want to be spoiled, don't hesitate and just be spoiled with me!"

Ritalia looked at her mother's kind face. "May I be spoiled with you?"

"Of course, my daughter! Be spoiled to your heart's content! Your father and I will definitely shower you with joy."

Ritalia felt a wave of happiness wash over her. She hugged her adoptive mother's body very tightly and wept in her arms, finally home.

Kazien turned to his brother. "Brother Davin?"

Davin immediately recoiled. "No, thank you! You'd better hold Alvin!"

Feeling rejected, Kazien was instantly annoyed and embarrassed. "I haven't said anything yet! Why are you rejecting me?"

"So that's what you want?" Davin said flatly.

"Then what else do I want from you besides being able to look at your face up close?"

"I'm your brother and not your future wife, idiot! If you want to look at a cute face, just look at Alvin's face to your heart's content!"

"Stingy!"

"Whatever!"

"For now, I'll give up on you! But you have to make Sis Karen happy! If you make her cry, I swear I'll force you to marry me!"

Davin rolled his eyes. "Even without you saying it, I'll definitely do it! You shouldn't make Alvin cry, idiot! Life at the academy isn't as beautiful as you think!"

Kazien instantly fell silent, his joking manner gone. But he firmly answered his brother's words: "If anyone tries to hurt Alvin, I won't stay silent! Even if this world becomes my enemy, I will definitely destroy them!"

Snap!

"Ouch! Sis Selena, why did you even flick my forehead?"

"Something you shouldn't have said! Do you intend to destroy this world?" Selena's voice was sharp.

Kazien shook his head quickly. "Of course not!"

"Then why did you even say something like that?"

"To look cool in front of Alvin!"

Hearing his ridiculous answer, Selena glared at him sharply, and the temperature in the room suddenly dropped, a faint frost tracing the windowpanes.

"Kazien…" she said, her tone dangerously low.

Kazien broke out in a cold sweat, instantly regretting his words. "I'm kidding! I'm kidding! Please don't be mad at me anymore and stop your magic, Sis Selena!"

Selena sighed, the cold receding.

"It's so rare for you to pay more attention to Alvin!" William, one of the family friends present, exclaimed curiously.

Kazien grinned, finally back to his usual self. "Alvin is indeed my future spouse!"
