Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I am a good person!

Yoriichi is someone who occasionally develops a strange sense of mission.

After standing by the sea for a long time, just as Yoriichi Tsugikuni was getting ready to leave, a streak of pure white suddenly appeared on the distant sea surface.

A short while later, a mast appeared on the sea, and before long, a flag embroidered with a seagull pattern unfurled before Yoriichi Tsugikuni's eyes.

A massive, dark blue dog-head battleship was rapidly approaching the small island where Yoriichi Tsugikuni was located.

"MARINE."

"The Marines, huh."

"And that ship head is... Garp's?!"

Just like the always-late arbiters of justice in all movies, the Marine warship finally appeared after this series of tragedies.

After a long time, the warship drew closer.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni clearly saw the appearance of the warship. He stopped in his tracks and gazed at it, though he had just been preparing to leave.

"Yare, yare."

"What they did was truly excessive!"

"To think such a fellow appeared in the East Blue."

On the sea, Garp's warship was quickly approaching Dragon Roar Island. While still hundreds of meters away from the island, Garp noticed the red-haired young man standing on the sea cliff. His Observation Haki spread out, surging towards Yoriichi Tsugikuni's location.

"I can't allow a bastard like this to destroy the peace of the East Blue!"

As Garp spoke, he loosened the collar around his neck, then grabbed his shoulder, tore off that white "Justice" coat, slightly bent his knees, and then leaped up. Although he was hundreds of meters away from the island, he actually jumped directly towards Dragon Roar Island.

"Vice Admiral Garp!" The call of the subordinate behind him was left in Garp's dust. In the blink of an eye, Garp had turned into a small black dot in the subordinate's eyes, rapidly heading towards the sea cliff.

"Is something coming?!"

Yoriichi Tsugikuni sensed something, slightly raised his head, and looked towards the sky.

In the air, a small black dot rapidly flew towards the sea cliff where Yoriichi Tsugikuni was. In the blink of an eye, Yoriichi Tsugikuni clearly saw the incoming person. Although his memory was already a bit blurry, the moment he clearly saw the person's appearance, Yoriichi Tsugikuni instantly recognized him.

"It's Garp!"

"He's middle-aged?!"

Garp's full head of black hair surprised Yoriichi Tsugikuni. But the next second, Garp in the air actually took a stance to pull back and gather power for a punch. Dense, terrifying black lightning crackled in mid-air, sounding like thunder.

The astonished Yoriichi Tsugikuni instantly tensed up when he saw Garp's posture. He immediately threw away the scabbard, drew his long sword, and while quickly explaining, "I am a civilian, not a pirate," he swiftly took a defensive posture.

Though Yoriichi's voice was not loud, Garp in mid-air clearly heard Yoriichi Tsugikuni's shout, but a huge smile appeared on his "rough" face.

In a flash, Garp was close to Yoriichi Tsugikuni. His fist, wrapped in unparalleled Haki, smashed towards Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

Facing the attack, Yoriichi Tsugikuni also reacted quickly. In a breath, the long sword in his hand was encircled by endless flames, and he quickly thrust forward.

Breath of the Sun - Seventh Form - Solar Heat Haze (Yang Hua Tu)!

Garp's fist, wrapped in black lightning, did not dodge, directly slamming into the tip of the sword. Instantly, immense force was transmitted to Yoriichi.

The next second, Yoriichi Tsugikuni felt his strength fail, and he couldn't help but let the tip of his sword deflect, leaving his center wide open.

His strength was nowhere near comparable to Garp's.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni's defense was broken through by Garp. The fist, as big as a sandbag, slammed directly into Yoriichi's chest. Yoriichi Tsugikuni felt his breath stop, his vision darkened, and he instantly lost consciousness.

"THUD!!"

Yoriichi Tsugikuni was knocked to the ground by Garp's punch, immediately losing consciousness. Garp looked at Yoriichi Tsugikuni on the ground and slowly walked closer.

"The kid is wearing... animal skin... and is barefoot."

"That level of Conqueror's Haki must have just awakened, it's scattered, not gathered, he's a rookie."

"Good swordsmanship. He shouldn't be a local from Dragon Roar Island."

"A civilian? Hahahaha!"

"Drawing a sword so fiercely, you can't really be called a civilian, can you?"

Garp looked at Yoriichi Tsugikuni's clothes, suddenly recalled Yoriichi Tsugikuni's earlier words, and couldn't help but laugh. Although he suspected Yoriichi Tsugikuni was the creator of the scene of carnage, Garp, having clearly heard Yoriichi Tsugikuni's words, didn't deliver a fatal blow.

Garp held back a lot of power at the last moment, only knocking Yoriichi Tsugikuni unconscious.

Walking up to Yoriichi Tsugikuni, he grabbed the animal skin on Yoriichi Tsugikuni, "prying" Yoriichi off the ground, casually slinging him over his shoulder. After picking up Yoriichi Tsugikuni's sword, he walked towards the ruined town in the distance.

Carrying Yoriichi Tsugikuni on his shoulder, Garp slowly walked through the town. After a brief inspection, Garp found the previous battlefield.

The tragic battlefield darkened Garp's expression.

After carefully checking the fatal wounds on the Marines, Garp's expression softened slightly. He glanced at Yoriichi Tsugikuni on his shoulder, and then headed towards the sea cliff where he had arrived.

While Garp was checking the battlefield, his warship officially arrived at Dragon Roar Island. The Marine officers and soldiers on the warship gathered on the sea cliff. The Vice Admiral, who was lining up the troops, was stunned when he saw Garp walking over carrying a "beast-skinned savage," and he quickly ran towards Garp.

"Vice Admiral Garp!"

"Who... is this person? What happened to him?"

Garp heard the question from his subordinate, Bogard, and casually tossed Yoriichi Tsugikuni towards Bogard, throwing the sword to the subordinate as well. Bogard, confused, instinctively caught Yoriichi Tsugikuni and the long sword. He looked at Garp questioningly, waiting for further instructions.

"Take this kid and his sword aboard the ship."

"The battlefield is over there. The E-23 unit that went out should be completely wiped out. Collect the bodies of our comrades and send them home for burial."

"Have people thoroughly search the town and also search the entire island for any survivors."

"Report any findings to me immediately."

Upon receiving Garp's order, Bogard immediately straightened up and answered, then lowered his head to look at the red-haired young man he was holding, still unable to help asking curiously:

"Vice Admiral Garp, who is this young man?"

"And the source of that Conqueror's Haki just now..."

Facing Bogard's question, Garp didn't intend to hide anything. He picked his nose with his little finger and replied casually: "Oh, him? He's a survivor, I suppose."

"You guessed correctly, that Conqueror's Haki just now was likely from this kid."

"He probably awakened it by chance."

"Now, go do your job."

"To think there are pirates who dare to stir up trouble in the East Blue. Since I ran into them this time, I absolutely won't let them go!"

Garp said, clenching his fists and making a cracking sound. The Marines who received the order began to execute Garp's instructions in an orderly manner.

It must be said that even though Garp is Luffy's grandfather, the people under him are reliable. Soon, the Marines spread out across the island and began to investigate the entire island.

In the year 1497 of the Sea Calendar (Year 1497 of the One Piece timeline).

An unprecedented evil incident occurred in the East Blue. Hundreds of Marine soldiers from the E-23 unit were annihilated while fighting a pirate group on Dragon Roar Island. Simultaneously, thousands of island residents were killed, and all the women and children on the island were abducted.

Vice Admiral Garp of the Marine Headquarters, who had finished his leave to visit his hometown, "accidentally encountered" that pirate group on his way back to Marineford, and subsequently, launched a heavy attack.

In that battle, towering flames mysteriously appeared on the sea, staining half the sky.

Afterward, all the kidnapped women and children from Dragon Roar Island were rescued.

After completing all this, Vice Admiral Garp's battleship returned to Marineford. However, compared to when they set sail, Garp's crew returning to Marine Headquarters now included an extra red-haired young man.
