Chapter 6 - The Meeting

In a dark room that from a different view of eyes seemed to be nothing but just an endless vast of darkness.

There was a table in the centre of that room, one that was made from a type of wood that is not often known in all corners of the world. The table was shinning, and it was an oval shaped one.

Where the table was, was the only part of the room that didn't seem to be either covered or swallowed by the darkness.

There were footsteps that were heard coming to what seemed to be in all corners of the room, so it was hard to tell if it was a single person coming or multiple, because of the echoes that the room had intensified.

A door opened, and since it was black just like the room, for someone who doesn't know how to even see well in the dark, they would really have a hard time to finding the door if they wanted to leave the room. Maybe from the outside it was easier to spot the door.

A person came walking in, and from the way they were walking there wasn't no need to be able to see who it was or let alone know from their diligent way that they walk, putting one foot in front of the other. It was like that person was walking in a Broadway show.

From the sound of the shoes one could tell right away that those were heels, meaning the person who had just walked in is actually a woman, which was a fact, since when they came into the light of the table, a woman was standing right next to it.

She wore a white well ironed shirt that was neatly buttoned, and a black skirt that reached her knees. She was holding what seemed to be a leather like envelope that was still sealed, marked with a red tape.

She was really beautiful. She had one of those well designed glasses that were clear as sky. Her eyes were hazel, her hair was blonde but cut short, and she had a red lipstick on.

Just as she was standing, she turned her head slightly and looked at the opened door, and waited patiently like she was waiting for someone else to come.

Half a second, and indeed someone else walked in, and this time around it wasn't just one person, it was five more. All of them were women just like the first one, and all of them, including the first one, all looked very young, like they were in their early twenties. Though they were all obviously different, they wore the same outfit.

And all of them were holding an envelope.

"So I guess everyone is here, then?"

The first woman who entered asked as she looked at everyone.

All of them were standing in different sides of the table, of course the first one being the one was standing in what looked like the head of the table, and the others standing next to each other of the other sides of the table.

"Well not exactly."

One of the women answered.

The first woman's name was Ginny.

"Who is missing?"

Ginny asked the one who just answered her.

"It's Delilah, she's not here with us, and from what I know I'm guessing there's a good chance that she's not coming to join us."

The woman replied to Ginny.

Ginny took a deep breath like she had just gotten defeated.

"Of course, how could I forget about her."

Then Ginny looked at all the ladies standing next to her, and she could tell right away that they didn't know where Delilah was, and even if they did they weren't going to tell her.

"Anyway, the heads are about to be here, so let's prepare for the meeting. We'll deal with the Delilah situation later."

Ginny ordered.

And she seemed to be the boss, because they all agreed with her.

"Yes ma'am."

They said in unison.

Just like that, after they had prepared for the meeting, which didn't even pass to a minute when Ginny told them so, but there were six cups of tea on the table, two on the sides of the table, and one where Ginny was standing, and one at the end of the table.

Then five guys all walked in. All of them had wore one of those dresses that Arabs wore. All were dark blue or purple, it was hard to see, but each dress had one button around their collar, and it was golden with some kind of different logo made in red.

The five guys were old but not that old. Maybe they were around the age of sixty to eighty, being the oldest.

And they all sat down to their seats where their assistants were standing and had set up tea for them.

"Welcome to all the heads, and I'm sorry to have summoned you so upruntly. I know all of us are preparing to welcome a new wave of Devil Blood students that, according to my knowledge, are really many this year around, but that's another story for another meeting. Right now let's talk about the one who I'm sure you all have been alerted that is here with us, but safely locked away in the prism."

The man who spoke was the one who was sitting in the head of the table next to Ginny.

His name was Gerald, and he had grey white hair with a streak of black hair. He had his eyes closed, and there was a scar on his face resembling claws of a tiger.

The other heads didn't say anything. They just nodded like they understood what he meant.

"Ginny, the envelope please."

Gerald held up his hand.

"Yes sir."

Ginny, along with the rest of the assistants that were present, handed their envelopes to their heads.

Before they handed the envelopes they were already opened, so the heads took the envelopes and took out what was inside, which was some kind of document sealed in black paper, and handed back the envelopes and the papers back to their assistants.

"As you all can go through the document present to you, you will see that there is in fact that we may have found one of the last children of Osmos. Though we are not certain yet, but our scientists confirm so."

Gerald said.

The other heads did exactly as they were told and went through the document, which was about three pages long, and when they turned to the second page they saw a picture of a young teenage boy, which was Neo.

"So this is the child?"

One of the heads who was sitting next to Gerald's left side asked.

"Yes, I know he may not look like much, but according to the information that I have received, that boy that you see there had killed a high ranking Crucifix."

Gerald reported.

"Which high ranking Crucifix would be dumb enough to be killed by a child who had just awakened his Devil Blood abilities?"

Another head who was sitting on right side of Gerald, but second after the first one sitting next to him.

"Why don't you take out the pictures that are pinned on the last paper and see for yourself."

Gerald said.

They did as he had suggested, and when they saw and inspected the pictures they saw a gruesome sight that it looked like to most of them was new even in their eyes.

"How could one mere child do this to a high rank Crucifix, and who is this Crucifix fellow?"

The head who was sitting on the left asked again.

Gerald pointed out a part of the picture, and what he showed them was understable on how the other heads would miss that at first.

"What you are looking at right now is the hand that if you carefully look with your own blood eyes, you'd realise that ring on that hand belongs to Adam Cope, who I'm sure we all had our fair share of meeting and fighting against, and barely escaping with our lives still in tact. He also happens to belong to one of the most strongest Crucifixion families."

Gerald explained.

After that new information that they had just received, all the heads were shocked to hear this, and so they murmured to each other, asking questions that they are not even sure they would like the answers too.

"How is it possible that just a boy could do this to a high rank Crucifix, let alone a Cope family member?"

The head that was sitting on the right side next to Gerald couldn't possibly believe such a thing.

What Gerald had informed them to take a look at were pictures of the same old man that Neo had fought earlier and managed to defeat. There were multiple pictures that each had a limb on it, and the one that had made that head ask the million dollar question was a picture of Adam's eyes, teeth, and of course the tongue.

"We are not sure as of yet, but we are investigating, and when we do find the truth I'm sure to let you all know."

Gerald assured them.

"Don't bother wasting your time, I'll tell you what the boy used to do that."

There was someone standing at the door.
