"You… what's your name?"
After a long moment, Yagami finally managed to ask the girl in his arms.
He still couldn't process it.
He had a child.
A daughter.
And a ridiculously cute one at that.
His expression had calmed a little on the surface, but his heart was still in a full-on hurricane.
The things this girl had said were simply too much information all at once.
"My name is Naruko… Yagami Naruko!"
The girl snuggled against his chest with a little tsundere twist in her voice.
"Naruko?"
Shame instantly filled Yagami's mind.
Did I really name my daughter something so… casual!? So chuuni!?
Before he could recover...
"Yagami-sensei!"
"Captain Yagami!"
Kakashi and Tekuno finally caught up, panting lightly.
Hearing Kakashi's voice, Yagami suddenly felt strange.
He turned and found himself staring at two Kakashis:
the Kakashi of this era
and the older, future Kakashi
Both standing side by side.
"Captain Yagami… what exactly is happening?"
Tekuno moved closer, staring at the girl in Yagami's arms like she was an unsolved puzzle.
"Oh, Uncle Tekuno…"
Naruko suddenly poked her head out of Yagami's chest and grinned.
"You're still fat even twenty years later."
"Huh? U-uncle? Fat?!"
Tekuno's face twitched violently.
"I'm seventeen! You're calling me uncle?!"
In Tekuno's heart, ten thousand emotional damage crits landed at once.
"Ahem!!" ×2
Yagami cleared his throat, then spoke to Tekuno and the younger Kakashi.
"Let me introduce you… this is… my daughter."
"WHAT!!!?"
Their screams cracked the air so hard it echoed off the Rōran towers.
The two stared at Yagami.
Then at Naruko.
Then at Yagami again.
Back at Naruko.
They repeated this about five more times before realizing...
They actually did share about fifty percent of their features.
But Tekuno still refused reality.
"Captain, stop joking! This is impossible!"
He shook his head so violently he looked like a rattling toy.
Yagami and Naruko looked far too close in age for them to have a father-daughter relationship.
In Tekuno's mind, the idea simply didn't compute.
Even Kakashi nodded in agreement.
"She's from over twenty years in the future…"
Yagami gently ruffled Naruko's hair as she leaned into him.
Tekuno and Kakashi froze, jaws dropping.
"What?"
"Time… travel?"
They looked like their brains had just bluescreened.
Even future Kakashi—quiet in the back—was surprised.
Yagami-sensei not only recognized him instantly…
He also understood the Ryūmyaku far more than expected.
"That's right."
Yagami turned to the future Kakashi and continued,
"And there's one more person you haven't been introduced to yet. This is—"
"My name is Yamato."
Before he could finish, future Kakashi interrupted abruptly.
Yagami blinked.
Huh? Why the sudden alias? Don't want to reveal who you are?
Future Kakashi explained calmly,
"During our mission, we were affected by the Ryūmyaku and ended up here."
This reinforced everything Yagami had said.
Tekuno and the younger Kakashi were starting to accept reality… barely.
"So… you really came from twenty years in the future?"
Tekuno still felt as if he were sleepwalking.
Time travel was the kind of thing you only saw in movies or storybooks.
Seeing it in real life was too wild.
"Of course! That's why I called you Uncle."
Naruko chimed in again, stabbing Tekuno's soul a second time.
Future Kakashi opened his mouth.
"By the way, the future Yagami— cough!!"
He nearly slipped.
He quickly coughed to cover it, then tried again:
"Yagami-sensei, since you know so much about the Ryūmyaku… do you know how we can return to our timeline?"
"A way back?"
Yagami tapped his chin.
In the Naruto movie, once Mukade was defeated and the Ryūmyaku sealed, time automatically corrected itself.
Naruto and Yamato were pulled back to their era.
So Yagami relayed the same information.
"I see."
Future Kakashi nodded.
At that moment—after waiting silently this whole time...
Princess Sārah finally stepped forward and she was not happy.
