"Four chakra natures?"
"And combining them can actually create a new nature transformation?"
While everyone was still whispering among themselves, Danzo suddenly spoke.
Yagami glanced over in surprise.
Danzo was staring at him with his one exposed eye.
There was a faint, unsettling fanaticism hidden in that gaze.
The moment Danzo asked, the other village higher-ups also turned their attention toward Yagami.
Normally, no shinobi would casually ask another about the secrets behind their ninjutsu.
That kind of thing touched on personal techniques and private research.
But since Danzo had already opened his mouth, everyone's curiosity was stirred.
One by one, they looked at Yagami, waiting for his answer.
"Fire, Wind, Lightning, and Yang Release."
Yagami spoke calmly.
"Fire is the foundation. Wind supports it. Lightning adds explosive force. Finally, Yang Release stabilizes and adjusts the balance."
"By combining them like that, Light Release ninjutsu can be born."
Yagami lied with a perfectly serious face.
In truth, he was almost hoping Danzo would try it.
After all, fusing chakra natures was no small matter.
Different chakra natures restrained and conflicted with each other. Trying to force them together carried an extremely high risk.
If the balance failed even slightly, the backlash from the chakra rejection could trigger a massive explosion.
A small mistake would mean serious injury.
A large one would mean death.
As for Danzo, who had once plotted against him—
Yagami would not mind at all if the old bastard blew himself up while chasing power.
"I see…"
After hearing Yagami's explanation, several village elders showed looks of sudden understanding.
A few of them even seemed eager to try.
Seeing that, Yagami felt a little guilty.
He wanted to trick Danzo. That much was true.
But if the others were dragged into it and got themselves killed because of his nonsense, that would be going too far.
Thinking of that, Yagami decided to at least give them a warning.
Otherwise, if these old men really died because of his random explanation, that would be a bit too much even for him.
"Ahem."
Yagami coughed twice, his expression turning slightly serious.
"Of course, powerful techniques always come with equal danger."
"Trying to merge several chakra natures at once is extremely unstable. If your control slips even a little, the chakra can reject itself and explode."
"Unless you have absolute confidence in your chakra control, I wouldn't recommend attempting it."
Danzo's eye, however, did not lose the slightest bit of heat.
If anything, the warning only made the madness in his gaze clearer.
Yagami secretly clicked his tongue.
As expected of Danzo.
This was the kind of man who dared to implant Hashirama's cells into his own body.
His desire for power had long since crossed the line of common sense.
"Well, that is enough about Light Release."
Sarutobi Hiruzen tapped the ash from his pipe and smiled faintly.
"You are all getting distracted. We still have a meeting to finish."
Although Yagami had made it clear that the technique was dangerous, the confidence he had shown earlier was undeniable.
He had even said he could deal with the Mist shinobi outside the village.
Even if they had yet to come up with a perfect solution, at least for now, Konoha's safety was no longer in immediate danger.
"Actually, there is no need to worry too much about this matter."
At that moment, the Nara Clan head spoke with a faint smile.
"Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen were just destroyed by Yagami. Without Kage-level combat power supporting them, they won't dare attack recklessly for a while."
"And whether they even have the courage to gather again and launch another attack is another question entirely."
His guess was not wrong.
At that very moment, the Mist shinobi had not even fully regrouped yet.
As for whether they would dare attack Konoha again—
That was still uncertain.
"Hm…"
"If that is the case, then we can only put this matter aside for now."
Sarutobi Hiruzen took a slow puff from his pipe, thought for a moment, and nodded helplessly.
"Everyone stayed awake all night and fought through a battle. Go back and rest first. The follow-up arrangements can be handled after that."
In truth, if possible, Hiruzen wanted to drive Kirigakure's forces out of the Land of Fire as soon as possible.
Yagami was still the frontline commander against Iwagakure.
He could not remain in the village forever just to guard against the Mist shinobi outside the borders.
Sooner or later, he would have to return to the front and take charge of the overall situation there.
That meant he could not stay in Konoha for long.
"Then I'll take my leave and arrange the necessary affairs."
Hearing Hiruzen's words, the people seated around the conference table stood up one after another.
They had also been awake all night.
At this point, they only wanted to finish their duties quickly and get some proper sleep.
They were already old. Unlike the shinobi standing guard on the walls, they did not have that much stamina left.
If not for the post-war meeting, most of them would have gone home and fallen asleep already.
"Lord Third, I'll head back as well."
Out of respect for the elderly—and also because he genuinely wanted to leave—Yagami stood up with Mikoto.
After the group of Konoha higher-ups left the meeting room, Yagami was about to walk out too.
"Yagami. Wait a moment."
"I have something to discuss with you alone."
Sarutobi Hiruzen glanced faintly at the Uchiha Great Elder and Uchiha Mikoto before calling out to Yagami.
"Something else?"
Yagami turned back, a little puzzled.
He had already been planning to go home with Mikoto.
"Let's talk on the rooftop."
Hiruzen removed the pipe from his mouth and smiled.
"If this old man keeps smoking here, even I'm starting to feel like the air is getting heavy."
As he spoke, he waved his hand lightly, scattering the smoke in front of him.
"Fine."
Yagami noticed that Hiruzen clearly wanted to speak without outsiders listening.
He turned toward Mikoto and nodded with a faint smile.
"Mikoto, wait for me for a bit."
Mikoto answered softly.
"Go ahead with Lord Third. Grandfather and I will wait outside."
She then supported the Great Elder and left the meeting room first.
"Come. The rooftop is good for more than just smoking. The view is not bad either."
Hiruzen smiled and walked out first.
Yagami followed behind him.
After leaving the Hokage Building, the two slowly made their way up the stairs that led to the rooftop.
"This place…"
"The view is quite good, isn't it?"
Once they reached the rooftop, Hiruzen exhaled a ring of smoke and smiled at Yagami.
The Hokage Building was not the tallest structure in Konoha.
But among the village's rooftops, this place offered one of the widest views.
Standing there, the wind was much stronger than it had been below.
"Not bad."
Yagami stretched lazily as the cool breeze swept over him.
"It's pretty refreshing up here."
"If I put a reclining chair here, I could probably take a good nap."
Hiruzen chuckled.
"You really do know how to enjoy yourself."
"I just know when to rest," Yagami replied casually. "Unlike some people who call others up to the rooftop and then pretend they only wanted to talk about scenery."
Hiruzen's smile deepened slightly.
Sharp as ever.
Naturally, he had not brought Yagami here just to chat about the view.
Yagami also knew that, so he simply waited for the old man to get to the point.
