Runar woke first, his internal cultivation clock precise to the second. Celestia was still sleeping—or more accurately, still resting in that peaceful state between meditation and sleep that high-level cultivators could maintain.
He didn't move, not wanting to disturb her. Instead, he used the time to think.
Less than three days until the combat assessment, he considered. Pirates in the Crimson Nebula sector—Satellite Orbit to Planetary Core realm cultivators, possibly some Stellar Ignition if they're well-organized.
The prospect didn't concern him. He'd fought countless Supernova realm experts during his training in the Pocket Universe. Celestia had similar experience. The assessment would be practically trivial for them compared to what they'd already faced.
But that didn't mean they should waste time.
Celestia stirred against him, silver-blue eyes opening slowly. "Morning," she murmured.
"Morning," Runar replied. "Sleep well?"
