Chapter 66
Shopping trip
Jay's POV
As I wake up, I can't find Kiefer in bed. The space beside me is still warm, but he's not there anymore.
Suddenly, I hear knocking, then, a whole group of girls -my girls, obviously- burst into the room like a whole tornado
Freya: Jay. Get out of bed. We're going shopping!
Freya shouted in a voice way too cheerful for 9 am
Jay: what?
Mica: we're going shopping. With you. For you.
Jay: for me?
Maya: yep. Get out of bed, tornado girl.
Jay: me? You guys burst in here at 9 in the morning like a tornado squad, then call ME tornado girl? Excuse me?!
Maya: you're excused, tornado girl. Now get out of bed.
I grumble a little, then get out of bed, shuffle to the bathroom, wash up, do my skincare, put on some mascara, then go back into our room.
In the room, Grace is holding a dark blue pleaded skirt and Freya is looking at my button up shirts like judge Judy on trial, while defenetly judging my fashion choices
But who cares. Kiefer always says I'm beautiful, so I don't care what anyone else thinks.
Then, Mica comes out of my closet with a pair of bicycle shorts that are way too short. I don't think that even covers my butt. The last time I tried them on, it did not.
Maya: we're putting those on her?
Freya: they go under her skirt.
Maya: okay. Phew. That actually makes sense
Just as Maya finished that sentence, the door opened and Ava walked in with her lipstick smudged and her clothes all wrinked
Ava: did I miss anything?
Ella: and what the heck happened to you? Or your clothes? Or your lipstick?
Ava let out a nervous laugh, her eyes darting around.
Freya: girl, spill it.
Ava: spill what?
Jay: did you... Make out with David?
Ava: just a little
Ava squeaked out, clearly embarrased and caught off guard by my bluntness
Ella: Freya, dress Jay up. I'm fixing Ava's makeup.
Freya: got it.
Freya immeadiatly threw the bicycle shorts at me, and I just changed into them.
At this point, I don't know what's gonna be thrown at me. Ella almost threw a makeup brush because... I don't know what reason.
As I dress into the dark blue pleaded skirt and Freya helps with the buttons of my button up -that we button wrong twice- and Ella fixes Ava's makeup, we're good to go.
Jay: so... Where to?
Ella: shopping
Jay: with who?
Mica: us, Honey, and the guys.
Ava: the guys too?
Freya: we're putting them in the food court.
Rakki steps into the room, all cheerful like she knows something I don't
Rakki: the guys said yes!
Jay: yes to what?
Ella: great. We shop, the guys pay.
Jay: wait. What? When did I agree to this?!
Maya: you didn't
Jay: you know what? I won't even ask anything else. But do I get food?
Ava: Jay. If Kiefer pays, then you defenetly won't starve.
Jay: fair.
Ella: let's go. Jay, your assistant is already grumpy.
Jay: my assistant? You mean Alex? Why?
Ava: he said he's grumpy cuz Honey didn't give him a kiss today
Jay: seriously?
Freya: yep.
I chuckle as I get up and walk to the living room with the girls, joking about how many of our boyfriends are going to be grumpy after they see the bill at the stores
In my opinion, they won't be that bad. Kiefer would just kiss my cheek and ask if I got everything I wanted, probably. Edrix absolutely spoils Freya, so that won't be an issue either. Aries and kuya Angelo would probably just hand over their credit cards to Ella and Ion, then tell them to get whatever they want. Alex gets a great salary from me, so that shouldn't be a problem. Yuri spoils Maya rotten, most of the time, so no problems there. Grace, Rakki, and Mica probably get spoiled too, looking at how head over heels Denzel, Ci-n, and Calix are.
We filed into the cars as we went to one of those fancy malls where there are these little pastry gardens indoors and people don't talk about money because they have enough for it to not be an issue.
The guys lined up out of our car doors
Kiefer: guys! 1! 2! 3!
And to 3, all of the guys opened our doors at the exact same time, then offered their hands so we can step out of the car
We all carefully got out of the cars and let the guys lead the way into the mall, as they looked for a place to sit down while we shop
Ci-n: look! There are chairs and benches over there!
Ci-n starts pointing wildly to a sitting area with bean bags, benches, chairs and those fancy little leather stool like things that have this triangular shape
Edrix: we can sit their until the girls shop
Freya: I'm in. Cards, boys.
Denzel: cards? Why do you want to play cards right now?
Yuri, Kiefer and David slapped their forheads at the same time in total deadpan
David: she means our credit cards
Denzel: oh. That makes more sense than UNO.
Grace: your seriously thought we wanted to pay cards?
Denzel: yeah.
The other guys chuckle silently as everyone slowly hands their card to their girlfriends. Denzel slowly hands his to Grace, while Yuri and David confidently hand theirs to Maya and Ava.
Suddenly, Kiefer leaned closer
Kiefer: which card do you want?
Jay: what do you mean?
Kiefer: as I say. Which card. My crdeit card? My debit card? My company card? My black card?
Jay: how many cards do you have?
Kiefer: a few. I don't keep cash with me.
Jay: why?
Kiefer: cards can be frozen, but cash can't be recovered if I lose my wallet.
Jay: fair.
Kiefer: so which one?
Jay: doesn't matter.
Kiefer: then black card.
Mica: black card?! Isn't that the one with no spending limit?
Kiefer: it is. My Mrs Watson deserves the best.
I just blinket up at Kiefer. Behind us, Maya loudly gasped
Maya: nope. She's mine. Forever.
Kiefer: excuse me? You have Yuri.
Maya: and?! I don't care. Jay's mine.
Jay: I am no one's property. Now let's go shopping.
I said as I dragged Maya towards a random store
