Chapter 131 - Make a lot of friends

Maybe, she's somewhat famous. Or maybe, she's not famous at all.

Anyway, Albert was surprised to find that a wizard had actually replied to him.

The man's name was Ed Fusco. His reply was short, expressing his willingness to correspond with Albert and leaving Albert with a question, wanting to hear Albert's insights on Gamp's fundamental transformation laws.

The question Mr. Fosco posed wasn't too difficult, in fact, it was quite simple, to the point that Albert suspected the man already knew his age.

However, Albert didn't care about that; he was more concerned about his newly appeared mission panel.

He has a wide circle of friends.

Befriend five renowned wizards in the magical world and maintain correspondence with them; you will reap unexpected rewards.

Number of wizards befriended: 1/5

Reward: 5000 experience points, +500 reputation in the Magic World

I never expected that a task panel would appear like this.

Even if Albert might not be able to finish it for the time being, it doesn't mean he can't finish it in the future. Albert never thinks he can't have more experience. He felt good today and started thinking about writing a reply to the other party.

After spending some time writing the letter, Albert sealed it and handed it to Shera. He watched the owl fly away before turning his attention back to his food, only to find that Shera had pecked his bread slices to pieces.

Albert shook his head slightly, used magic to clear the contents of the plate, picked up a piece of bread again, and continued to enjoy his breakfast.

"You seem to be in a good mood. Did something good happen?" Angelina, who was sitting next to me, asked curiously.

"Mr. Fosco replied to me." Albert naturally wouldn't mention anything about a new panel or quest appearing.

"Mr. Fosco?"

"Actually, I don't know him either. I just received his letter and replied to him," Albert said casually. "Anyway, a letter won't waste much time."

Moreover, there were some things Albert didn't say.

He didn't think the two would exchange letters frequently. Famous people are usually very busy every day; they don't have that much time to write to him. Not everyone is like his Tom, who spends all his time eating, sleeping, and sunbathing.

"Have you heard?" Li Qiaodan came over, looking mysterious, as if he had heard some interesting news.

"I haven't heard anything. Just say what's up!" Albert looked up at his roommate. "What is it?"

"Phantom Transformation Class," Li Qiaodan excitedly announced the news he had just heard.

"Wasn't this mentioned shortly after we came back from the Christmas holidays?" Albert looked at Li Jordan with a puzzled expression, raising an eyebrow as he asked, "Does this mean that lower-grade students can also sign up for the Apparition course?"

"Do you want to sign up?" Fred asked lazily.

"Yes, Apparition is a convenient spell, and we should all learn it." Albert nodded. "Don't you want to learn it so that traveling will be much easier in the future?"

"Don't even think about it, unless you're seventeen or older." Li Qiaodan said irritably, "The teaching starts this afternoon, you can go and watch the senior students practice Apparition."

"I've read a piece of Hogwarts history, and it seems like Apparition isn't allowed in the school, right?" Shanna said uncertainly. "Does that mean they're going to practice the Apparition Charm outside of school?"

"No, the location is the lobby." Li Qiaodan pointed there.

"That's impossible," Shanna said, frowning.

"Nothing is impossible. I reckon the headmaster will remove the protective magic that prevents apparitions from appearing in the school, allowing apparitions to appear in the hall. By the way, does anyone have an owl they can lend me? I want to order some things." Albert opened his potions book, which contained information about apparition potions, and asked the others.

"Don't you have one?" Li Qiaodan asked, puzzled.

"Shera helped send the letter away, and I'm going to write to the pharmacy in Diagon Alley to buy some medicine," Albert explained.

He was determined to complete the magic photograph quest as soon as possible and acquire alchemy. Albert had originally thought that creating the protective bracelet would make alchemy appear on his character panel, but since the skill never appeared, he gave up trying.

Albert plans to acquire the skill of alchemy first and test its effects before making any further plans.

"You can have mine!" Arya said.

"What kind of potion are you planning to concoct?" Fred asked curiously. "It's not Felix Felicis, is it?"

"It's developing solution," Albert said, pointing to the page in the book. "I heard that developing solution can make people in photographs move."

"That sounds good. Could you share some with me later?" Shanna asked awkwardly. "Of course, I'll help."

"If there are any left over, it's no problem to give them to you," Albert agreed.

"Albert, we're going out for a walk later, do you want to come?" Fred nodded towards the outside and asked.

"Where to?" Angelina asked, puzzled. "The Quidditch pitch?"

In the afternoon, there was a Gryffindor practice session. They were close to winning the championship, and Charlie dared not relax at all.

"I have an appointment later," Albert politely declined the twins' invitation.

"Who?" George couldn't help but ask. "You're not planning to come to the woods with us?"

"Going into the woods?" Angelina's voice rose several decibels. "What are you going into the woods for?"

"An adventure to find treasure!" the twins exclaimed in unison.

Actually, they were going to find some valuable medicinal ingredients. Especially after the last incident, the twin brothers had read "A Thousand Miraculous Herbs and Mushrooms" several times and were preparing to go into the forest to search for treasure.

As for Li Qiaodan, the punishment he received last time was quite severe, making him start to reconsider whether venturing into the forest was worthwhile.

Jordan Lee knew there were many valuable things in the Forbidden Forest, but sometimes you really need a bit of luck. That's why the twins wanted to bring Albert along, since he was always very lucky, and if Albert went, Jordan Lee would go too.

In their words, since Albert has gone along, the risk of this adventure will be greatly reduced.

"It's Professor Bardbrod. I'm going to have a game of Wizards' Chess with him," Albert said casually.

"I remember Professor Brod is the international wizard chess champion! I feel like you're going to lose badly." Not only George, but everyone else looked at Albert with pity.

"It's more fun to play chess with someone who's good at it. Even if you lose, it's not a big deal. Just keep a positive attitude. Besides, don't you think it's not bad to have a wizard chess champion as your mentor?" Albert said without hesitation.

"That sounds reasonable," Fred nodded. "However, I still feel like you're just making excuses for your impending failure."

Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes, ignoring his unreliable friends, and continued looking at the manufacturing method of the developing solution.

alchemy.

I'm kind of looking forward to it!
