Chapter 136 - Gryffindor's secret treasure?

"Here, this is the developing solution."

During a break after a meal, Albert handed Shanna a glass bottle containing developing solution. "You know how to use developing solution, right?"

"I know how to use it, thank you." Shanna reached out and took the glass bottle, expressing her gratitude to Albert. "However, I'm curious, when did you brew the developing solution?"

"A few days ago," Albert didn't hide anything, "I used it on the photos, and the developing solution was indeed effective."

"Thank you," Shanna said to Albert again.

Given Shanna's current potion-making skills, brewing developing potion herself is completely unrealistic; she'll have to buy it herself. However, even if Shanna had Galon in her pocket, she wouldn't know where to buy developing potion.

To be honest, Shanna has never tried Owl Mail Order; her impression of the wizarding world is still limited to Diagon Alley and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The entire wizarding world was completely foreign to the Muggle wizards at Hogwarts.

"You're welcome." Albert didn't care much about these things. He had already set aside some developing solution for himself, and the small bottle he gave to Shanna was meant to be shared with her.

"Albert, Albert!" George and Fred rushed into the auditorium and ran towards Albert.

"Weren't you doing your history of magic homework in the library?" Albert looked up at the Weasley brothers with a puzzled expression.

Before he could say two words, Albert was grabbed by the twins, one on each side, and pulled away from the auditorium.

Following behind the twins, Li Qiaodan gave the others an awkward smile, helped pack Albert's things, and quickly left with the three of them, leaving the students with curious faces behind.

What's wrong with you all?

The four of them arrived at a secluded corner, and Albert broke the silence by speaking first.

"Look what we found in the library!" the Weasley twins said in unison, looking at each other.

"What did you find?" Albert asked cooperatively.

"Clang, clang, clang!" George, with his own voiceover, pulled a piece of parchment from his pocket and handed it to Albert.

Albert took the parchment, glanced at the information on it, and his face twitched slightly. He had just been quite shocked by the "Secret Treasure of Gryffindor" on the parchment.

He turned the parchment over, and on the other side was a simple map with trees, the number 1, a campfire, and a cross.

Albert looked up at the three of them and asked, "What the hell is this thing?"

"Gryffindor's secret treasure," Li Jordan said excitedly.

"What treasure?" Albert asked again.

"Gryffindor's secret treasure," Li Jordan said earnestly.

"Okay," Albert said irritably, "I admit… it's kind of interesting, but… it would be really stupid to take this seriously."

"We found this parchment in the lining of a book," Fred said.

"The folds between the pages were very well hidden; we discovered them by chance," George added.

"A coincidence?" Albert scoffed at the idea. If he wanted to, he could create a hundred such coincidences.

"So...you're planning to go treasure hunting?" Albert had already guessed what the three were thinking. These guys wanted to go treasure hunting and adventure. Perhaps they didn't care whether this so-called secret treasure of Gryffindor was real or not.

They just wanted to... go on an adventure, to find treasure?

To some extent, adventure and treasure hunting are fun, but... the problem is, what if you end up finding yourself being played for a fool?

My mood probably wouldn't be so bad then.

"This must have been placed there on purpose?" Albert examined the strange drawing and said irritably. "Besides, I don't think Gryffindor would keep their secret treasure in the Forbidden Forest."

That's right, the Forbidden Forest.

The tree in the painting likely refers to the Forbidden Forest next to Hogwarts.

"It really is in the Forbidden Forest," the three said in unison.

"The tree should refer to the Forbidden Forest, the number 1 should refer to the unicorn corresponding to the ancient rune number 1, and the campfire represents human habitation, that is, a place where people live. In the Forbidden Forest, the only creatures that can be called 'humans' are centaurs and a fork. That should be where the treasure is located." Albert saw through the meaning of the map markings at a glance.

"Wow, you cracked this map just like that!" Li Qiaodan exclaimed in shock, his mouth agape.

"That secret treasure?" The three of them looked at Albert in unison.

"It's probably near the centaur's camp," Albert suddenly sneered. "To be honest, even I don't believe what I just said."

Isn't this blatant manipulation? Otherwise, the so-called secret treasure of Gryffindor should be hidden in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, not in the Forbidden Forest.

"This..." All three of them fell silent; they had actually guessed this before.

"What are you doing here?" Filch had already spotted the group whispering in the corner, his tone unfriendly.

"It's nothing," Albert said calmly.

"If there's nothing to whisper about, get out of here." Filch shooed away the four mysterious-looking guys like flies.

"I'll say it again, don't believe this nonsense." Albert looked at the three of them. "It's like you borrow a book from the library one day, and then deliberately write something in it to tell someone that there's something valuable hidden there. But when the other person goes through all the trouble to find the so-called treasure, what do you find? They only find a few dung bombs that you put in the box back then."

The group exchanged glances, agreeing with Albert's guess. They had initially shared similar thoughts, but after Albert's analysis, they were even more convinced that this was indeed the likely truth.

Is this a joke?

That's actually quite possible.

"Oh, right, there's one more thing," George said, scratching the back of his head.

"What is it?" Albert asked.

"This parchment was originally hidden between two pages of a book, and then… you can probably guess." George gave a helpless, wry smile.

"Don't you know how to use healing spells?" Albert asked, puzzled.

Two-thirds of the first year has passed, and in the past six months, everyone has learned a lot of spells, including the Healing Spell.

"Um…" George looked a little embarrassed and said dejectedly, "We can't use spells to repair that book."

Fred took out "The Biography of Yurik" from his backpack. It was actually a homework assignment on the history of magic; they all needed to write a paper about medieval wizards.

"It was hidden very well; we almost didn't even notice it at first." Albert turned to the page that Fred had also damaged, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

"Put the books away first, we'll study them back in the dorm tonight," Albert reminded them. "Don't let anyone else notice what you've been doing, especially if Mrs. Pince finds out."

"She will kill us."

"Why us, and not you?" Fred asked irritably.

"You're silly, it's because we're twins!"
