Chapter 174 - There is something strange

After entering the train, Albert walked along the corridor, looking for an empty compartment.

Along the way, he hadn't seen his Hogwarts roommates yet.

"They probably haven't arrived yet," Albert thought, preparing to find an empty compartment.

As he opened the door, ready to enter the compartment, he heard someone calling his name from next door.

Albert looked up and saw Lee Jordan waving at him.

"Albert, over here." Lee Jordan walked towards him, smiling as he greeted Albert, "How was your summer holiday?"

"It was good. My family and I went to a beach in Francefor a holiday." Albert re-closed the compartment door and, pulling his luggage, went with Lee Jordan to his compartment.

"Who was that guy you were talking to just now?" Lee Jordan asked curiously as he opened the door, having clearly seen Albert confronting Hertok through the window.

"That person seems to be named Hertok Dagworth." Albert briefly recounted his encounter in France and how he received a warning letter from the Ministry of Magic after returning to the country.

"The Ministry of Magic made another mistake?"

Lee Jordan sympathized with Albert's situation and expressed worry and annoyance about the unreliable trace from the Ministry of Magic.

His family also lived in a Muggle community, and who knew when he might be inexplicably blamed for something.

"That's just how the Ministry of Magic is; I never expected it to be reliable." Albert's tone was full of disdain for the Ministry of Magic as he pushed his luggage into the compartment.

Lee Jordan was about to lend a hand to help Albert put his luggage on the rack.

"No need, I can do it myself!" Albert took out his wandand waved it at his luggage.

All the luggage floated up and was directed by him onto the luggage rack above.

"Impressive." Lee Jordan gave a thumbs-up and continued, "Hertok... he was asking you for something?"

"Yes, he came to ask for the membership card I picked up." Albert said with a strange expression, "However, he doesn't seem to intend to help me solve the trouble."

"That guy has some nerve." Lee Jordan was indignant, "You didn't give him the item, did you?"

"No, I flat-out refused." Albert shook his head, "I just told him that if he helps me resolve this matter with the Ministry of Magic, I'll return the item to him."

"Did he agree?"

"No, he even tried to take it back with magic." Albertcouldn't help but sneer, "Unfortunately, that item isn't on me at the moment."

"What a... scoundrel, an irresponsible scoundrel." Lee Jordan looked down on Hertok's behavior and asked Albert, "What are you going to do?"

"I think that Dagworth will help me resolve this matter." Albert confidently shook his wand and changed the subject: "It was a big mistake not to bring my wand to France, which is why I had the bad luck to encounter such a mess."

Lee Jordan forced a smile; he really couldn't understand Albert's way of thinking.

However, seeing that the other party was confident in solving this matter, he was also happy for Albert.

For the rest of the time, the two chatted about what happened during the summer holiday.

As the train's departure time gradually approached, the smoky platform became even livelier, with students everywhere dragging heavy luggage and saying goodbye to their families.

Around a quarter to eleven, Fred, George, and their family finally appeared on the platform.

Albert and Lee Jordan saw the Twins making their final goodbyes to their family through the compartment window.

"I'll go find them."

Lee Jordan popped a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean into his mouth, then opened the compartment door and walked out, intending to lead the Twins so they wouldn't have to spend time looking for their seats.

A moment later, footsteps approached, and Albert in the compartment vaguely heard Lee Jordan's exclamation.

"Wow! You actually both bought Flying Brooms!"

"It's a Cleansweep Five." Fred grinned happily, "Charliefinally convinced Mom to buy us Flying Brooms."

"Actually, we wanted a Cleansweep Six more. Unfortunately, new broomsticks are more expensive..." George was a little conflicted.

Buying two Flying Brooms at once was still a struggle for the Weasley family family.

Overall, George and Fred were very happy to have their own Flying Brooms.

Albert opened the door and walked out, looking at the Twins pushing their luggage towards them and said, "Congratulations."

"Albert, what model of broomstick did you buy?" Fredasked curiously.

He thought Albert would probably buy the best Flying Broom.

"I didn't buy a Flying Broom." Albert's answer surprised everyone.

"Didn't buy one?" Fred was stunned, repeating incredulously.

"No, I didn't buy one." Albert shrugged.

"Then what about the game?"

"It's not certain that I'll be selected for the Gryffindor Team, and besides, you know, I'm very busy at school and might not have time to play."

Not only Fred and George, but even Lee Jordan widened his eyes and opened his mouth.

Everyone wanted to get into the Gryffindor Team, but you, on the other hand, didn't want to join even if you could.

Albert sighed and reminded them, "The most important thing is, if we all join the team, it will make us too hated.

Once we lose a game, Charlie will immediately become the target of everyone's blame; I've mentioned this to you before."

The three fell silent.

Although they were unwilling to admit it, Albert's consideration was not without reason.

"Alright, don't crowd here." Albert gestured for them not to block the aisle, preventing others from passing.

"Charlie will definitely be disappointed." Georgemuttered, dropped his luggage, and walked away, presumably to find Charlie.

"Excuse me, please wait a moment." Albert said to the girl, waved his wand, and made Fred and George's luggage fly into the compartment.

Here's an advertisement, [\] Mimi \ Reading \ app \] is really good, worth installing, after all, there are many book sources, complete books, and fast updates!

"Your magic is getting more and more powerful." Fredforced a smile, "This saves us the trouble of carrying luggage."

Shortly after the group entered the compartment, Charlie rushed over.

He sat down next to George and asked, "You don't want to join the team?"

"I'm not sure if I have enough time to practice Quidditch." Albert explained casually, "As you know, I've already joined Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club.

Oh, and this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor is very likely someone I know..."

"Who? Who is this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor?"

"Rowena Smith." Albert said, "She is a very powerful Wizard.

I've been in correspondence with Rowena all summer, and if possible, I'd like to take this opportunity to learn something from her."

Charlie remained silent for a long time.

He knew this was an excuse Albert found to help him, but he still said, "If the team can't find suitable players, I hope you'll join then."

"Alright, I'll do my best." Albert hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"But what about your broomstick?" Charlie frowned slightly.

"Don't worry, I have Galleons.

If it's really necessary, I'll spend money to order a Flying Broom from the Quidditch boutique." Albert reassured him.

Only, why did that sentence sound so rich and ostentatious?

"Hmm, that's good." Charlie sighed and suggested, "You could consider the Cleansweep series.

The price is very reasonable, and the mainstream in this series now is the Cleansweep Six, which is faster than the Five and suitable for Seekers."

Charlie left after speaking, his face a little depressed.

George had already told him about Albert's words.

The other party voluntarily withdrew because he didn't want to put too much pressure on him.

What a good person!

"Charlie has great ambition; he hopes to win a Quidditchcup." George looked at the closed compartment door and said to Albert, "As long as we win, no one will dare to say anything."

"This time, several new players have joined the team, and the probability of winning..." Albert's words were cut short by Fred, who pounced and covered his mouth.

"Shut up, you should say we're definitely going to win." George said sternly; he was a little afraid of Albert's loose tongue.

To prevent Albert from saying anything inauspicious, Fred changed the subject, "By the way, what exactly was that rubber duck you sent during the summer holiday for?"

"Oh, that? It's a little toy for playing with while bathing." Albert explained with a smile, "Muggles usually put it in the bathwater."

Fred and George exchanged wide-eyed glances upon hearing this; they decided not to tell their father about it.

"What little yellow duck?" Lee Jordan asked curiously.

"A gift Albert gave us, said it was a toy bought abroad." Fred explained.

"Ahem." George coughed hard, stiffly changing the subject, "By the way, has that matter of yours been resolved?"

"Not yet, the Improper Use of Magic Office at the Ministry of Magic hasn't replied to me." Albertcooperated by changing the subject, "I estimate they just threw it in the trash after receiving the letter."

"Surely not?" Fred and George said in unison.

"Why do you think they threw your letter in the trash?" Lee Jordan felt that Albert wouldn't speak without reason; he must have some basis or evidence to say that.

Albert mentioned that Hertok intended to give him twenty Galleons as a thank-you gift.

"You didn't tell me this just now." Lee Jordan couldn't help but complain.

"I just briefly mentioned it; I was going to say it again anyway."

"You actually refused?" Fred and George were a little envious of Albert's luck, "That's twenty Galleons!"

"Why didn't you think about it?" Albert looked speechlessly at Fred and George, who were still heartbroken over the twenty Galleons, and couldn't help but remind them, "Why is the other party willing to spend twenty Galleons but unwilling to go to the Ministry of Magic to resolve that matter for me?"

"I think Albert is right; this matter actually wouldn't take much effort, yet the other party is willing to offer twenty Galleons to settle it.

It seems a bit strange no matter how you look at it." Lee Jordan thought Albert's words made a lot of sense, "Twenty Galleons isn't a lot, but it's definitely not a small amount either!"
