Things went even smoother than Albert had expected.
However, Albert was surprised that no panel quest appeared this time. Usually, when encountering such matters, a panel quest would appear first. Why did it feel a bit...unfamiliar?
Albert stopped in front of the Fat Lady's portrait and checked the quest panel. Sure enough, there was still only that damned 'Returning What Was Found' quest.
"Are you going in?" the Fat Lady, growing impatient, couldn't help but ask.
"Oh, sorry. The password is: Singer."
After Albert spoke the password, the Fat Lady's portrait swung open, revealing the passage hidden behind it.
As soon as Albert walked into the Common Room, he heard someone calling him.
It was George.
He was watching Fred and Lee Jordan play wizard cardat a table.
"How did it go?" Albert asked.
"George and I became Beaters, Angelina also successfully became a Chaser, Wood is the Keeper, and Charlie is the Seeker," George said. "The other two Seekers are Danny and Paris."
"As expected," Albert nodded.
"Alicia Spinnet was chosen as a reserve Chaser, and there's first-year Katie Bell. Cormac McLaggen is considered a reserve Keeper. Of course, we also have to count you, the unreliable reserve Seeker." Georgecouldn't help but ask, "How did things go on your end? What did Dumbledore want with you?"
"That thing from last time. But Mr. Hertog agreed to help me solve the problem," Albert explained casually, then turned his head to the girl beside him and said, "Congratulations on getting your wish, Angelina."
"Thank you," Angelina said with a smile. "But I didn't expect you wouldn't go."
"I had other things to attend to," Albert said.
"Alicia flies well," Angelina said, pulling her friend closer. "It's a pity, if she had practiced with us last semester, she would definitely be a regular player this year."
"Practice more this year, and you can play next year." Albert paused, then added, "I remember Katie Bell is a girl, right? It seems Gryffindor's Chasers will be girls for a long time. I dare say, this is definitely a very rare situation."
"Indeed," George nodded in agreement. "Don't let everyone else play while you're still a reserve."
"Isn't that good? I can be lazy," Albert joked. "However, I know someone who will probably be a reserve for a very long time."
"Who?" George pressed.
"Cormac McLaggen."
Albert noticed that when he mentioned the name, eyes turned towards them. Albert looked over and saw Cormac McLaggen.
"Why?" George asked, puzzled.
"Stupid!" Albert reminded him, somewhat speechless. "Wood will be the next quidditch captain, and his Keeper position will likely last until graduation, so there's actually no need to pick a reserve. However, Charlie probably wants a reserve just in case, to prevent a repeat of last year's messes."
"Makes sense," Fred suddenly said. "Want to play a round?"
"Alright!" Albert said. "But my cards are in the dormitory."
"I wasn't talking to you, go stand over there," Fred said, waving his hand at Albert with a look of disdain. "Now, no one wants to play cards with you. Go develop more cards on your own; there are still too few cards right now."
"I'll make my own deck another day," Angelina said, taking the cards Lee Jordan handed her. "This game is much more fun than Gobstones, it's just that the cards are a bit crude."
"Hmm, it's still in the initial stages after all," Albertasked, "Do you want to join the Wizard Card Club?"
"What's that?" Angelina was a bit surprised.
"Uh, it's just what it sounds like, a loose club," Albertraised his hand and pointed to the few people around him. "Currently, there are only four of us."
"What's the purpose of this club?" Angelina asked curiously. "To play wizard card together?"
"Uh, how should I put it?" Albert thought for a while before answering her question. "It should be called a wizard card enthusiast's club. We meet once on the last weekend of every month. We'll update our card library and announce more refined wizard card game rules. That's about it."
"Did you just decide that?" Lee Jordan asked.
"No, it was decided on the train," Albert shook his head.
"How come I didn't know?" George didn't believe him.
"I didn't say it then. To promote this game, this is an inevitable process," Albert started spouting nonsense again.
"Don't listen to his nonsense, Albert is definitely misleading you again," Fred played his card and said to Angelina, "It's your turn."
"Sure enough, it's like this again," Lee Jordan showed a look that said, 'I knew it would be like this.'
"You all continue. I still have things to do. If you have any suggestions for the game, write them down." Albertthen looked at Alicia, who was watching the two play cards, and asked, "Do you want one too?"
"Want what?" Alicia didn't understand Albert's words.
"Your own card," Albert explained.
Alicia exclaimed, "Can I?"
"Of course, just a moment." Albert returned to the dormitory and casually filled out a card for Alicia.
The effect was Reserve: Each time a Quidditch player card is sent to the graveyard, HP +1.
"Why not add attack?" Fred couldn't help but complain.
"The game needs to be balanced. Alright, you all play on your own. I still have to go to the Transfiguration Club." Albert hadn't forgotten about the Transfiguration Club. Although he was already late, he still had to go.
I recommend [\Mimi\Mimi\read\app\]; it's genuinely good and worth installing, as you can cache books and read offline!
"See you later. On your way back, stop by the Kitchenfor some late-night snacks," Fred suddenly shouted at Albert.
"It's not on the way," Albert rolled his eyes and headed out through the Common Room entrance.
When he arrived on the sixth floor of the Castle, and passed through the Witch's portrait to classroom 21, the Transfiguration Club had already been going on for over half an hour.
Albert hesitated for a moment, then raised his hand and knocked on the wooden door, then pushed it open and walked in.
The number of chairs in the Transfiguration Club was one less, and some of the members had changed.
Besides Katrina, Diggory had also joined the Transfiguration Club.
"Sit down, Mr. Anderson, we've just reached the halfway point," Professor McGonagall turned her head to look at Albert, motioning for him to take a seat.
Albert walked towards Field and sat in the empty armchair, his gaze falling on Katrina and Diggory. The former used a simple wooden chair, while the latter used a three-legged stool.
Compared to the others, it was really too shabby.
However, given their Transfiguration level, it was already quite good.
Professor McGonagall was explaining Transfigurationtechniques. She turned a chair into a dachshund and made it run in circles.
This was a very advanced Transfiguration magic, and for the new members, it was quite difficult. Katrina and Diggory both listened, a bit bewildered.
