"Come out, Saintess. No one will hurt you. "
Circe said and pushed Kaelen away gently, standing alone.
From behind the pillar, a pretty looking blonde young woman slowly emerged. She looked at the men holding the terrifying swords in hand.
"Stand down. You are scaring my savior. " Circe said smiling kindly. Walking slowly past her men she looked at the clearly terrified young woman.
"Your highness. I meant no harm. Please forgive me. " She hurriedly knelt down.
Staring at that blonde hair, Circe pursed her lips. "You are forgiven. You must not have known that blessings hurt me. " Circe said helping her stand up. "Your name is Sera, right? "
Sera looked up, surprise evident on her face. She had doe greenish blue eyes and a light dusting of freckles that made her already small head look very adorable.
"Y... Yes. I an Priestess Sera. Not yet announced a saintess. " She said with a bow.
Circe started at her for a while. She had never really imteracted with this saintess in her past life. After the war, she had spent her life at the Western castle and never went to the capital until her brother and sister was poisoned. The same time, she was called out as a traitor, by the very beautiful blonde in front of her.
"It's alright. I am fine now. But, please refrain from casting your blessings in that kind of manner. This place is already suffocating as it is. " Circe said and held her up.
The cool sensation from her gauntlets made Sera shiver a bit. "I'll be mindful next time. " Sera said.
Circe turned at and left with her men. Sitting in her carriage, she sighed leaning against the soft pillow.
"Are you alright madam? " Kaelen asked sitting opposite her. "Get me away from this place first. "
...
"Why did you bless the second princess? You were lucky to have come awalittley fine. " The elder priest scolded the pouting Sera.
"How was I supposed to know that? It's not in the records. "Sera said refusing to take blame.
" Just hurry up and prepare to leave for the capital. That child is dangerous, you never know if she will spare you. "The elder said.
" Yes elder. "Sera bowed then returned to her room.
'She looked rather weak to me. 'She thought leaning against the door.
.... .....
" Kaelen. For how long was I asleep? "Circe asked the next day while taking a walk in the dead garden. The large fur coat hung on her shoulders making her look even more sickly.
" For a year, two months, one week and five days, madam. "He said staring at the tiny back that had shielded him and five others from enemy attacks when the Celestial army decided to abandon them.
" And for how long since I awoke from such a slumber? My mind feels....., numb. "She said and turned around.
" It gas been not more than a month now, a week since you started visiting the temple. " Kaelen said and looked down at his Madam's face. Pale, slightly childish but no less beautiful, especially those ruby eyes that seemed to be dead.
"How old am I?" Circe looked up at him curiously. Even in her previous life, she was not sure of her age.
"You are currently sixteen years old, Madam. You'll be seventeen during Aurora's ascent. "
Aurora's ascent, the coldest night in the empire. Also the time when the evils are at their best.
"Get Albert to get me a tutor. It's about time I learnt how to be a proper lady. "
