Kai eyes trembles as he looks up at Shinsu. He grunts.
"I didn't know releasing you could take so much mana" the boy said, his knees shaking even more. Shinsu grins.
"Of course it would".
The demon vanishes behind Kai placing his hand on his neck. "But it also takes a lot of stupidity. Or.. desperation." Shinsu laughs, his eyes closed as he walks to the old man.
"Well you watched right? Me killing the old man. So what stupid decision did I make?" Kai said, his eyes narrowing as he watches Shinsu poke the old man's depicated skull. Shinsu looks up.
"Killing the old man in general. I would've black mailed him if I was in your shoes, even if he planned to kill me".
Shinsu bends down, lifting the old man's hand. "He's the type to easily be persuaded. If you give him a lil push" Shinsu says, his hand glowing purple flames, burning the old man. He stands, his eyes still glancing to the purple flames, burning the wooden floors'.
"Besides. Aren't you afraid of the fact I'll kill you"?
Shinsu eyes switches to the boy, his head tilts and his smirk remains.
Kai stands still, his leg no longer shaking whilst his eyes are completely locked on the floor. "Well? Are yo-"
Shinsu's question is denied as Kai fist lands straight to his face, flinging him towards the floor. Kai vanishes at blinding speed, his foot on Shinsu's head.
"Your problem Shinsu is that your still treating me like a kid. I mean have you even realized how much mana I've actually released from you". Kai foot, squashes Shinsu's head like a balloon about to pop. Yet Kai hasn't realised who's he's facing.
"Now get up or will I have to use that lil push to persuade you".
Kai releases his foot, his eyes glued to Shinsu's oddly smile as he walks away.
"Aren't you gonna get up or will you need the same push I gave to the old man" Kai says, his eyes switching from the roof to the clock. "About 4 more minutes" Kai thinks.
As the clock ticks to 7:57 Shinsu is still on the ground, his arms stretched out like a kid on sand. "That punch. Was so dam satisfying". The demon's eyes close.
"The feeling of a punch. And my own mana racing through me makes me feel like I'm at my peak. The time when I felt like a true demon. Instead of a prisoner".
Kai's eyes remain on the clock. "2 more minutes Shinsu. And I'll say you need 2 more punches to wake you back up". Kai turns, his eyes widening as Shinsu is no longer.
"2 more minutes to put you to sleep" Shinsu says, laughing as he sits on top of the shrine of the angel. Kai looks back. "He's fast" Kai thought, turning back as he rushes at Shinsu. The blade forms.
"How pathetic" Shinsu says, grinning as Kai's blade vanish the moment it connects. "How you go from ego to zero kid? Atleast make yourself look like your strength is a fraction of mine own".
Kai eyes twitches as he watches Shinsu's misty blood glows brighter. "I don't wanna believe it. But. He can absorb my po-"
Kai shakes his head. Unlike some people he realizes the truth. Even if the truth isn't their favour.
"No his power".
Kai looks at the clock. "1 minute. But if he can absorb my hits. Then what can I do," Kai thought, his eyes stuck on Shinsu's smirk.
"Can I do anything? To beat this guy" Kai says, walking in circles.
"Don't bother trying kid. Cuz even if you did find a miracle inside your foolish brain. I'd read it. Like a damn book".
