Chapter 1 - Stalker

I was hunting for deers in the forest when I stumbled upon a dead body, it was almost midnight and as the king's daughter, I knew I was not supposed to be out this late but I was known to be stubborn. I moved back abruptly ready to run back to my kingdom only to be surrounded by Wolves, Werewolves. They looked hungry, waiting to attack on command. I tried running the other direction but a pack of them had surrounded me. Usually, I wasn't afraid of them when I was with my people but I was out here in the forest alone and I was certain I wasn't leaving this forest alive. Suddenly, a deep masculine voice yelled "wait" right when they were about to attack. His voice echoed through the forest like it was the voice of their leader, their Alpha.

He slowly stepped into the moonlight, he was shirtless and had only a pair of trousers on, no shoes like he had just transformed back. Though the moon was the only source of light, it was enough to make his dark hair gleam and his blue eyes flash as sharply as the Pacific Ocean. "Why have you entered our territory" he said as he slowly walked towards me , his gaze as sharp as a spark ready to ignite. I couldn't utter a word, I didn't know if it was his voice or the fact that I was about to be eaten alive that made my breath hitch. He kept coming closer and I kept moving backwards, suddenly I tripped over the body and I woke up and realised it was just a dream. I had just fallen asleep in class.

"Quest look" a really light voice yelled out my name, I turned back looking at the girl seated behind me, it was my best friend Trish, she was showing me a picture of the new emerald necklace dad had just gotten me for my 17th birthday and was going on and on about how it matches my sparkling green eyes but I couldn't care less. All Dad did was throw money around whenever I was angry at him but never works. Ever since I can remember, it had just been me and my dad, My mum died when I was ten. Dad claimed it was cancer, but I never believed him. She had never been sick, not even once, before the day she died. Dad tried spoiling me with gifts and trips to other kingdoms by I was more interested in the Supernatural. The only thing my dad had warned me to stay away from.

You see, we lived in a supernatural world where us, humans and other supernatural creatures coexisted peacefully but boundaries were set to maintain the peace between us all. I was thirteen when I discovered that Supernatural creatures existed, A satyr had snuck into the kingdom while I was playing outside, he was so friendly and kind, before he left, he gave me a mysterious flower and said to me "you are the chosen one" but when my dad found out he tracked the satyr and had him killed because he had defied the boundaries separating our worlds, ever since that day I had been obsessed with the Supernatural.

A few weeks before my seventeenth birthday, the dreams began. I saw someone, someone I somehow knew with absolute certainty, but the moment I opened my eyes, his face vanished from my memory. I searched for him throughout the kingdom, but it was as if he had never existed at all. "He has to be of the Supernatural world" I say to myself every time I wake up.. but why would I be having dreams of someone that is not human, someone I don't even know?... I kept asking myself but I never told anyone about the dreams, not even Trish.

The closing Bell had just rang and my guards were already waiting for me outside the school gate, I said goodbye to my friends and made my way to the car.. That's when I saw it or ... him at the corner of my eye, I turned quickly to that direction but nothing was there, just bushes. I quickly ran into the car. I had a feeling something was following me but I didn't want to look crazy so I just ignored it. I had just taken a deep breath when someone suddenly ran up to the car and startled me. "Oh my goodness, Brent, you scared me!" I cried, clutching my chest. It was my boyfriend, Brent.

Brent Clayfield was a good guy, he was my dad best friend's son and the heir to the kingdom of Tridolvia. He was your regular highschool quarterback; blonde, rich and captain of the football team. I liked him. . but I wasn't inlove with him.

We've known each other since we were eight, and we've been dating since fifteen, but I had never truly felt what it meant to be in love. "You were going to leave without giving me a goodbye kiss?" he said. I forced a fake smile, muttered an apology and gave him a kiss. he asked me if I was okay and I nodded, I didn't tell him about the dreams because I didn't want him to think I was going crazy.

Later that night, I came out to the window to write in my diary after a long shower then I saw it. A dark feather, massive, with a shadowy aura that seemed to pulse around it. I carefully lifted it from my windowsill, and beneath it lay a letter, adorned with exquisite, old-fashioned embroidery, like something from the 19th century. My hands trembled as I opened it, and I read every word slowly, savoring the weight of its mystery. "Meet me at the school fountain, you will find the answers you have been searching for" I quickly threw the letter away. Fear gripped me, but something inside me desperately wanted to know if the person who sent the letter was behind my dreams. That night, I packed a backpack with a crossbow I had made myself and escaped the kingdom.
