Chapter 103 - Escape

"Can he be spared?" A calm, aged voice echoed in the room.

Graham was unfamiliar with the voice, but Fulen knew it well. It belonged to Lazer Anor, the elderly Magician, who was both Fulen's mentor and friend.

Graham had always presented himself as someone arrogant and dedicated to his missions, but at this moment, he stopped his hand from reaching for Fulen. After a thin, illusory layer of flames ignited around him, he leaped back a few steps, looked at Fulen's side, and asked with certainty, "Bizzaro Sorcerer."

An elderly figure appeared beside Fulen—it was Lazer Anor, the Magician from Sohier Circus. Fulen had never expected the usually kind-faced Lazer Anor to be a demigod. Laze reached out to help the seemingly very ill Fulen up and said, "Fulen, don't be afraid. I told you, we will protect you."

Fulen wanted to reply, but due to his physical condition, he could only cough. Laze affectionately patted Fulen's back.

However, this warm scene did not move Graeme. He said firmly, word by word, "The person I want, I must take. What if you are a Bizzaro Sorcerer? You're just an underground rat."

With that, this man, who indeed possessed a strong Iron-Blooded demeanor, extended his right hand, activated his spirituality, and gathered various flames he controlled into his hand. These included normal high-temperature flames, white flames that could burn Spirit Bodies but had no effect on physical objects, and illusory flames that descended from the Astral World into this world. Together, they condensed into a rapier made of fire.

The flames continuously flickered, but in the hand of this Iron-Blooded Knight, the flames solidified like ice. The rapier made of flames was stable, showing no resemblance to fire, yet the scorching, Distortion of the air around it told everyone how terrifying this sword was.

However, Graham did not rush forward immediately. Instead, he first swung the rapier in a circle around himself, looking utterly ridiculous. Fulen, however, did not dare to mock him, nor did Laze have any desire to mock him. Seeing this scene, he became even more serious.

After Graham stopped his strange movements, he grinned at Laze, who asked with a serious expression, "Your flames can suppress the manipulation of Spirit Body Threads?"

"Indeed. These are flames I found while Traveling through various places and searching for the ruins I know of. I only have a small spark of it. My spirituality tells me that this flame comes from the Astral World and has a suppressive effect on Spirit Body Threads. While it won't completely nullify your abilities, your strongest point is suppressed. How can you fight me, an Iron-Blooded Knight? Just hand him over obediently!" Although Graeme temporarily gained the upper hand, he still harbored the idea of winning without a fight.

Hearing this, Laze actually smiled: "Your strongest point? You've misunderstood. The Bizzaro Sorcerer's strongest point isn't controlling Spirit Body Threads, but rather their bizarre methods. Although you're a bit unexpected, it doesn't prevent you from being at a disadvantage."

Graham stopped talking. In fact, Laze was right. Although Graham possessed the flame ability to suppress Spirit Body Threads, maintaining such flames required immense spirituality. And once controlled, he might not even be able to use the flames before being killed. Many people considered Graham a brute, but every Iron-Blooded Knight was a successful Conspirer. A victory achieved through mere words was a common goal for every Conspirer.

More transparent flames erupted around Graham, forming a full body armor, while the transparent flames on the rapier disappeared. Graham was ultimately keen on close-quarters combat, so he said no more, only rushing towards Laze and Fulen with all his speed.

In less than a second, Graham thrust the rapier in his hand towards Fulen, completely disregarding Laze's feelings, while Laze wore a strange smile.

Although Graeme's strength was astonishing, this thrust missed. Graeme's eyes widened, and he looked at Laze, saying word by word, "Creating illusions?" His tone was undeniably certain.

Laze did not speak, but Graeme Graham the rapier to the ground, and immediately, flames ignited in the room. However, Graham did not hear any screams, and the old man's figure in front of him was not engulfed by the flames, as if he were a ghostly image in the room.

Graham dispersed the flames, took a deep look at Laze, who had a calm smile on his face, said nothing more, and turned to leave. However, before leaving, Graham said with a certain tone, "Secret Order?"

But he did not expect Laze to answer, and simply pushed the Door open and left. Laze said nothing more. After seeing Graham leave, his own figure slowly disappeared from the room. His entire demeanor displayed the mysterious feeling unique to the Seer Pathway.

While Graham was in the illusion, Laze asked Fulen as he helped him up, "Do you have a way to leave here?"

Fulen glanced at Graham, who seemed not to have heard, and then heard Laze say with a smile, "It's fine."

So Fulen told him that he had a revolver and a bullet that could Travel through the Spirit World. Laze said to Fulen, "Then you should leave first."

Fulen opened his mouth, unsure what to say. Laze saw this and laughed, "You don't need to think about how to repay me right now. I am a Seer. I can sense that your future will definitely intersect with mine. For now, the time is not yet! Alright, it's time to leave."

Fulen said no more. He just took out the revolver, pressed the Travel bullet into the cylinder, and fired it at himself. Before leaving, Fulen saw Laze nod reassuringly at him. For a moment, Fulen wanted to cry. This was the first time Fulen had felt such familial tenderness in this foreign world.

However, Fulen immediately stopped crying. The Travel bullet was much rougher than any Travel Fulen had experienced. Fulen's sensation was that the Spirit World was spinning wildly before his eyes, and he felt like clothes forcibly stuffed into a Spirit World washing machine, churned until he was dizzy.

As soon as he left the Spirit World, Fulen had no idea where he was, nor did he have the energy to look. Coupled with the lingering symptoms of his illness and the dizzying sensation, Fulen didn't even check his surroundings and simply vomited violently. However, Fulen vaguely felt that he was probably vomiting against a large tree.

After Fulen finished vomiting, he dizzily spun two or three times, and after confirming that he wouldn't fall into his own vomit, Fulen fell into a dazed sleep, regardless of whether there were any wild beasts here.
