The air in the lair felt heavy—sick with grief. We were all crying for what we had witnessed. Our best friend... was hurt and might die. 💔
Leo sat on the couch, silent tears streaming down his face like a river. Raph was on the floor, arms crossed, not speaking to anyone. The rage in his eyes was clear. Poor Mikey had locked himself in his room, crying hard. Donnie sat in his lab, desperately working to treat Malak's wounds, worry and sadness pooling in his eyes. She was safe now, but still in danger.
April arrived and sat with us on the couch. Mikey soon joined her, sniffling. Then, Master Splinter stepped out of his dojo.
Splinter: "My sons, and April. There is something I must tell you."
We all looked at him as he began to speak.
Splinter: "A long time ago, I loved a beautiful woman named Tang Shen. But Saki—Shredder—loved her too. Jealousy consumed Saki, and he eventually fought me... and accidentally killed her. That day, I lost everything I loved: my wife, Miwa... and... Malak."
We jumped to our feet, eyes wide and jaws dropped.
Everyone: "WHAT?! MALAK IS YOUR DAUGHTER?!?!"
Splinter: "When she first came here, I kept it a secret from all of you—and from her. You may have noticed how shocked I was at the time. Yes... she is my daughter."
Leo: "D-Does she know, Father?"
Splinter: "No, she doesn't. But I fear she may find out from the wrong person."
Donnie: "GUYS! MALAK... SHE WOKE UP!!!"
Donnie came running out of the lab, shouting. We all leapt to our feet and rushed to her. Inside the room, we saw her—weak, tired, and still in pain, but awake.
Turtles: "MALAK!!!"
We ran to her, pulling her into a deep hug. Even Raph, the toughest of us, didn't hesitate. Leo held her tightly, resting his forehead against hers, tears falling. We reassured her that everything would be alright, but she was still crying.
Then she whispered something...
Malak: "Father..."
Suddenly, she bolted up and ran outside. We followed her until she stopped at the dojo.
Malak: "Father?!"
She broke down, crying uncontrollably. Sensei stood from his place, his eyes full of sorrow.
Splinter: "I have always wanted to hear that word from you... daughter."
She didn't hesitate. She ran into his arms and hugged him deeply. Tears ran down her cheeks like a river. Even Splinter cried—silently.
Malak: "W-Why didn't you tell me the truth, Father? Y-You didn't want me, right?!"
Splinter: "No, no, my dear daughter. I only wanted to protect you from the pain of the truth."
They held each other tightly for a long time. When they finally pulled away, Splinter gently wiped her tears.
Malak: "Why is this happening to me?! What did I do to deserve this?! Why do they want me?! They... they took my mother! You're all I have left now!"
Splinter: "Yes, my daughter. And they didn't just take your mother—they took your sister, too."
Malak: "What?!"
Splinter: "Yes. Saki destroyed my life. He tried to take you from me."
Malak: "He will never succeed, Father. Never."
They hugged again. The lost daughter had finally returned to her father's arms.
Raph: "Then... you're our sister now?"
Malak: "Yes." She smiled warmly.
Mikey: "Then you're our fairy princess sister!!!"
Leo: "A-Are you okay with that?"
Malak: "Of course I am, Leo. My family... my dear father... you're all I have now. I'm just so happy I finally found my family after all these years. Yes, I lost my mother... but it's okay. I have all of you now."
Mikey: "This adorable speech needs a big, fat hug!"
We all rushed to her, pulling her into a group hug. She was weak and almost lost her balance, but we caught her.
Donnie: "You need to rest, Chocolate. You're still not fully stable."
Malak: "Okay... um... where's Leo?"
Raph: "He was just here?!"
Malak stepped outside to find him. She saw him looking sad and a little broken.
Malak: "Thinking you loved the wrong person, huh?" She teased gently, trying to cheer him up.
Leo: "Of course not. You'll always be my only true love."
Malak: "Aww, Leo... ahh—"
She nearly collapsed again, but Leo caught her.
Leo: "Malak, you need to rest. Your injuries are bad."
But she gently held his cheek and cuddled him softly.
Malak: "I love you, Leo. My heart, my soul, my everything. You are my leader. My fearless leader. So don't worry, okay?"
She winked at him and kissed his cheek.
He didn't wait—he pulled her into a deep, soft hug and kissed her head. For the first time, they hugged passionately, warmly, and deeply.
The others walked in.
Mikey: "Cupcake! You need to rest!"
Splinter: "Yes, my child. You're tired, and you need to heal."
Mikey: "And if you want, you can share my spare bed in my room! It's cool! We can have a secret sleepover and—OH! Order a lot of pizza!"
Donnie: "MIKEY! I SAID REST, NOT CELEBRATE!"
Mikey: "Ahh fine, fine! YOU ALL ruin the party every time! Okay, dudette, but still... secret, ha!"
He winked and she chuckled.
Malak: "Aww, Mikey. That's really sweet of you, my dear! Hehe."
And so, with hearts full of joy after the heavy sorrow, we gathered to celebrate. But this time... as a real family.....
