Chapter 32 - A Large Sea King… And That’s All It Had?

BOOM!

The violet slash smashed into the Sea King's head, striking the scaled armor covering its skull.

The instant it landed—

Those supposedly indestructible scales turned to tofu.

They tore open.

The slash pierced straight through.

No resistance at all.

Its defense meant nothing.

PUFF!

The slash ripped through everything, dealing a blow so brutal it was beyond imagination.

Blood sprayed out in a violent stream.

And the power didn't fade.

It continued.

That raging force punched through its head and drove deeper—spreading into its body like a plague, shredding organs, crushing bone.

CRACK! CRACK!

Clear, sharp sounds rang out from inside the beast.

Bones breaking.

Scales rupturing.

It was horrific.

The Sea King's body was nearly erased by the slash's destructive force, like it meant to grind every cell into nothing.

Blood burst everywhere.

Wounds bloomed across its massive body—holes punched open by the shock of the slash.

And blood poured from every single one.

The Sea King's crimson flow spilled into the water, quickly staining the blue sea a sinister red.

A twenty-meter-class monster bleeding like a fountain…

The scene was so eerie it made scalps tingle and spines go cold.

At last, the remaining energy of the slash vanished into the depths.

But the surface still rolled with huge ripples and surging waves.

Water that had been flung hundreds of meters into the air crashed back down, hammering the sea into splashing rings and spraying outward like rain.

Droplets scattered onto the deck.

Uniforms soaked.

A cold chill sank into every Marine's skin.

And then—

A stunned voice broke the silence.

"T-that's it…?"

"Is it… dead?"

"A twenty-meter Sea King… just got killed that easily?!"

The stench of blood drifted in the air.

The once-chaotic waves began to settle.

And on the surface—

A massive corpse floated up.

A Sea King's corpse.

A twenty-three-meter Sea King.

Instant-killed.

Yes—

Killed in a single strike.

From start to finish, it never even managed to resist.

The Sea Kings were called the ocean's most terrifying lifeforms—

This one was even a large-class specimen—

And yet it died… just like that.

Worse—

It died the moment the slash struck.

Who could believe it?

It was beyond absurd.

Was this really a Sea King?

Wasn't it supposed to be vicious enough to sink warships and whip up storms?

Then what was everyone seeing right now?

It looked…

Weak.

Too weak.

So weak it couldn't even take one hit.

A large-class Sea King—and this was all it had?

As the waves finally calmed, the warship steadied.

The deck fell silent again.

Hundreds—no, thousands—of Marines stared at the floating corpse with eyes full of shock and fear, unable to look away.

"It's… really dead."

"A twenty-three-meter Sea King… killed with one slash."

"One slash. Just one."

"This is insane…"

They stared at the corpse's wounds—still bleeding—blood continuing to seep into the sea.

Someone swallowed hard.

"Are Sea Kings really the ocean's apex predators?"

"Then what the hell is this?"

"A so-called ocean overlord… and this is it?!"

Helmeppo's lips trembled.

"Koby… you saw that, right?"

Koby's eyes were wide, his expression trembling with awe.

"I saw it."

Then he spoke, voice tight.

"But this isn't because the Sea King was weak."

"A Sea King doesn't become an ocean overlord by being weak."

"The reason it looked so fragile…"

He slowly lifted his gaze toward the small figure holding the katana.

"…is because the one it faced was too terrifying."

"It wasn't fighting a person."

"It was fighting a monster."

Koby inhaled, forcing down the storm in his chest.

"In the end…"

"It's not that the Sea King was weak."

"It's that Mr. Raifeng… is simply too strong."
