Natalie looked at Lucy angrily, if she was capable of smorting Lucy today then
someone would have been beaten to a fine red paste. "Listen to me Chester, if
y…." Natalie was about to say something but was stopped by Luka, "This is
enough for us, let us just eat." He said, she didn't want to offend Luka so she kept
quiet. Everyone was done eating by now, "Ches, can you tell us a story?" Lucy
asked, Chester looked at everyone and he was shocked to see that everyone was
looking at him with big eyes as though he owes them a story.
He naturally saw through Lucy's intentions, everyone wanted to know how he
became a fire burning human being, why was he so powerful such that Cronose
Kai was no match for him, which other things is he hiding. "Okay then listen to
my story!" He said, "Once upon a time in the empire of Cinderdel." He then
stopped; everyone was fast asleep. In his hands he had a bottle opened, "Hmm I
never expected the sleeping gas elixir to be this quite effective." He thought,
closed the bottle and slept as well.
Lucy opened her eyes slowly; the aroma of meet filled the cave. Chester was
making them breakfast, Lucian was already awake and so was Luka and Natalie.
Lucy tried hard to remember what happened last night but she can't, "What
happened last night?" She asked Chester finally, "Last night? We slept." Chester
gave a simple answer, Lucy opened her mouth to say something but a chunk of
meat was put in instead, "How does it taste?" Chester asked, "Hmmm this meat
tastes good, really good." She exclaimed.
After eating, Chester came and gave them a stern warning. "Ziya is the only
place that can keep us safe. So, we need to be physically, mentally and
emotionally prepared for the soul security check." He said, "So will start by
taking showers and washing our robes, we have 4 hours! Let's get started." He
added. Everyone was busy, Chester was standing under a tree when Natalie
showed up, "Hi Ches, for the past few days I know I have been rude to you and
I also insulted you." She started speaking, "Even a dry tree gets a chance to be
used as firewood since it can't be used as a fruit bearer." She added.
Lucian was surprised, finally this girl went to apologize. Lucy on the other hand
had a gloomy face and her heart was aching and her body shook. Luka was just
standing there holding his chin. Chester's eyes narrowed; he looked at Natalie
with eyes that were saying why bother beat around the bush when the forest was
burned. Chester knew it was coming sooner or later, and it actually came sooner,
"Ches you are a good man, your values and morals are other worldly; you saved
Luka from falling off the cliff and from being stubbed by the Cronose spear even
though he was your love rival. I Natalie says you are a man of principles."

Lucy unconsciously sat down, her heart was in pain and the more Natalie
spoke, the more the pain she felt. Lucian was smiling this time; Luka was just the
same as before. Chester smiled and raised his eyebrows as the time had come,
"So Ches, I will treat you and Luka 50%/50%; I will be with you today and
tomorrow I will be with Luka; I will give Luka to smash today and tomorrow I
will give you. Both of you will be happy and satisfied, this is the chance am giving
you." Natalie finally spoke, this was exactly what Chester saw coming and it
rather came sooner.
Lucian's heart stopped and his jaw dropped, even the hippo would one meter
apart him afraid of being swallowed. Luka was just the same, Lucy was shocked!
Good job! I was worrying for nothing, this Natalie is rather stupid and fuck his
ancestors. He doesn't even deserve to be called a 'she'. If this is how women are
in our generation, then I blame Jezebel! Sometimes I wonder why men started to
love other men, is it because of these daughters of Jezebel? This world needs to
be cleansed in the fire.
Chester laughed out aloud this time, he stood up and got a huge rock the same
size as Natalie and threw it into the lake water. The rock sunk down, but
something happened that left people shocked, the water remained still and no
splash formed, not even ripples. "You see that Natalie, my life is like this lake
and you are like that rock." Chester got another rock, smaller and less heavy; he
threw it into the lake and a huge splash of water was seen, ripples swaying all
over the water. "Only the things that matter to me, can make a difference! And
you are not among those things."
Natalie was shocked! She wasn't expecting such words from Chester.
"But…But you love me!" She said, Chester looked at her and smiled, "Do I?" He
asked then left and sat down where Lucian was. Lucy felt as if a load of stones
that had been pressing on her was lifted. Luka smiled and said as expected in his
heart. After a few hours, Lucian and Chester were eating fruits, the other three
were also nearby preparing for their last journey.
Lucian looked at Chester, who was biting a fruit but not chewing it. Lucy
noticed that Chester was frozen, he didn't even move an inch and goosebumps
appeared on his body. "What's wrong with him." He said to himself, "Chester!
Chester!" He called out but the latter didn't even respond, his heart raced; he
thought Chester was dead and quickly touched him on the forehead. Chester's
body was indeed very cold, a pang of pain stung his heart and his hands shook, is
this how people die? While eating a fruit someone dies.
