Holding Murakumogiri, Whitebeard set the great blade aside with a smile on his face. He sat down directly in the seat prepared for him.

None of the three spoke first. They looked at the prepared positions beside Whitebeard.
Kaido was the first to step forward and sit to Whitebeard's right. Big Mom sat next to Kaido, separated from Whitebeard by the Beast. On the other side sat Red Hair, but there were two positions on that side.
Red Hair glanced at Whitebeard suspiciously. The Four Emperors had gathered, but five seats appeared.
This was not arranged casually. It seemed that apart from the Four Emperors, a fifth person would appear today. But it wasn't hard to guess who that fifth person was. Whitebeard smiled and raised his hand to beckon. Soon, subordinates brought up huge wine jars, arranging them one by one in front of the four Emperors before quickly disappearing from the platform. Kaido wasn't polite at all. He directly picked up a wine jar that would normally require three people to lift and gulped it down with one hand.

Whitebeard smiled.

The expressions of the three changed simultaneously. If they were the type of people willing to let others control their destiny, they would never have ascended to the position of Yonko.

Kaido fell silent. It was true; the alliance didn't make them Whitebeard's subordinates.
"To form the Pirate Alliance... the five of us will not interfere with each other. The only rule is that when the World War starts, the choice of who to fight is up to the five of us to decide together!"
In other words, when the World War wasn't active, the Four Emperors were still the Four Emperors. The Pirate Alliance was just a name, but even a nominal alliance of the Four Emperors was definitely the strongest force in the Pirate World.
