Chapter 34 - THE MORNING OF NEW POWER

Chapter: The Morning of New Power

Dawn arrived quietly over the Corrupted Forest.

The ocean waves rolled gently against the shore where the celebration had taken place only hours ago. Ash from the bonfire still glowed faintly, and the smell of roasted sea monster lingered in the air.

Not far from the beach stood a newly constructed wooden cabin.

It was simple, but sturdy.

Built overnight by the tireless hands of the gargoyles and undead.

Inside that cabin…

Draven slept.

The Awakening

A thin beam of sunlight slipped through the wooden window and landed across Draven's face.

His eyes slowly opened.

For a moment everything was quiet.

Then—

SYSTEM NOTIFICATIONS FLOODED HIS VISION.

Dozens.

Hundreds.

Messages stacked on top of each other like an avalanche.

Draven groaned and rubbed his forehead.

"Ah… I knew this would happen."

The system windows began appearing rapidly.

Reward Notifications

[SYSTEM NOTICE]

Outpost Construction Completed.

[SYSTEM NOTICE]

New Rewards Available.

[SYSTEM NOTICE]

Domain Authority Expanded.

Draven sighed.

"Well… let's see what you brought me."

He waved his hand, allowing the first reward panel to open.

Reward 1 — Core of Corruption

A dark crystalline object materialized in front of him.

It floated gently in the air.

The crystal pulsed with deep purple energy.

The system text appeared beside it.

[Core of Corruption]

A domain heart capable of amplifying the influence of corrupted territories.

Functions:

• Strengthens corrupted creatures within domain.

• Expands corruption influence gradually.

• Accelerates resurrection and mutation processes.

• Enhances necromancy within territory.

Draven leaned back slightly.

"Well… that's terrifying."

If this core was placed within the forest…

The entire domain would become far more dangerous.

The corrupted forest was about to become something far worse.

Reward 2 — New Skills

Another system window opened.

Draven's eyes scanned the list.

New Skills Acquired:

• Underwater Breathing

Allows the user to survive indefinitely underwater.

Draven raised an eyebrow.

"Teleportation?"

He stood up instantly.

"Now that is useful."

Reward 3 — Construction Panel

Another window opened.

Draven's eyes widened slightly.

This one was huge.

Construction Panel Unlocked

It contained blueprints.

Hundreds of them.

Buildings.

Defense structures.

Supply lines.

Agriculture.

Food preservation.

Weapons.

Mining systems.

Everything based on knowledge from Draven's previous world.

Draven slowly grinned.

"Oh… this changes everything."

With this…

The corrupted forest could evolve into a true kingdom.

Reward 4 — Skill Evolution

Another notification appeared.

Hypnosis → Psychic Nightmare

Draven blinked.

"That escalated quickly."

The skill description appeared.

Psychic Nightmare allowed him to invade a target's mind and trap them in horrifying illusions capable of breaking their will completely.

Draven chuckled quietly.

"That will be useful… very soon."

His thoughts drifted toward the captured dark elf.

Outpost Rewards

Another notification appeared.

Rewards for completing the forest shore outpost.

1. Healing Zone

An area where injured allies recover rapidly.

2. Domination Aura

Enhances loyalty and fear among weaker creatures.

3. Outpost Keeper

Allows a designated commander to control the outpost.

4. Fortification Creation

Draven nodded approvingly.

"The shore will become our first stronghold."

Group Rewards

The system then displayed rewards for the army.

Group Buff:

• Ability power increased by 30%

Draven whistled softly.

"That's massive."

Then came individual upgrades.

The Trio's Evolution

The system showed updates for A1, B2, and C3.

They had received:

• Magical equipment

• New skills

• Advanced attacks

Draven stepped outside the cabin.

And immediately saw the trio testing their abilities.

Training Ground Chaos

A clearing had been created near the beach.

And right now…

It looked like a battlefield.

A1 stood in the center holding a newly formed sword.

The blade glowed silver with magical runes.

"Magic Swordsman equipment," he said calmly.

He swung the blade.

A massive arc of energy sliced through three boulders instantly.

BOOM.

The stones exploded apart.

B2 whistled.

"That's cheating."

Elemental Archer

B2 stepped forward next.

His new bow shimmered with elemental energy.

He pulled the string.

Three arrows formed automatically.

Lightning.

Fire.

Ice.

He released.

The arrows shot across the field and detonated with explosive force.

Trees shattered.

Rocks cracked.

B2 laughed proudly.

"I like this."

Spirit Wizard

C3 raised his staff.

Several glowing spirits appeared around him.

Wind spirits.

Fire spirits.

Water spirits.

He pointed his staff forward.

"Spirit storm."

The spirits combined and unleashed a swirling magical vortex.

The blast carved a trench across the ground.

A1 crossed his arms.

"Acceptable."

C3 looked extremely pleased with himself.

Samuel's Upgrade

Nearby stood .

His crimson eyes glowed faintly as he tested his new ability.

"Minion Creation."

Two skeletal warriors rose from the sand beneath his feet.

Samuel raised his hand.

"Claw of Underworld."

Two massive shadow claws erupted from the ground.

Before…

There had only been one.

Now there were two.

He nodded with quiet satisfaction.

"Efficiency increased."

The Gargoyle General

The ground shook suddenly.

BOOM.

The landed nearby.

His new obsidian armor reflected sunlight like black glass.

He raised his hand.

"Instant Weapon Creation."

Lava formed instantly into a massive axe.

Then a spear.

Then a sword.

The weapons appeared and vanished instantly.

Then he activated another skill.

"Frenzy Mode."

His body erupted with violent energy.

His speed suddenly doubled.

He dashed forward.

The sonic boom alone shattered nearby rocks.

A1 stared calmly.

"Impressive."

Unique Skills for Everyone

Across the domain…

Every creature was testing new abilities.

Blood Lancers practiced coordinated attacks.

Berserk Gargoyles performed aerial maneuvers.

Morlocks trained with sea combat techniques.

The corrupted forest had become a massive training ground.

Draven watched quietly.

His army was evolving rapidly.

Interrogation Time

But one matter still remained.

Draven turned toward A1.

"The prisoner."

A1 nodded.

"She is still restrained near the bunker."

Draven spread his wings.

"Good."

The Captured Dark Elf

Deep inside the forest…

Vines wrapped tightly around a wounded figure.

The dark elf hung suspended against a massive tree.

One arm missing.

Blood dried along her armor.

Her eyes were cold despite the pain.

Draven landed in front of her.

"So."

The dark elf glared.

"The demon king."

Draven tilted his head.

"You attacked my bunker."

"You invaded my domain."

"And now you're my prisoner."

He stepped closer.

"I want answers."

She spat blood at the ground.

"I would rather die."

Draven smiled.

"That can be arranged."

His eyes glowed crimson.

"Psychic Nightmare."

The dark elf suddenly froze.

Her mind was pulled into a terrifying illusion.

Endless darkness.

Screaming spirits.

Nightmares.

Her breathing became erratic.

Sweat formed on her face.

Minutes passed.

Finally—

She screamed.

"STOP!"

Draven ended the skill.

She collapsed, trembling.

Draven crouched down.

"Now."

His voice was calm.

"Let's talk."

Chaos in the Border Town

Far away…

The border town had descended into madness.

Without monster hunting quests…

The economy collapsed.

Adventurers fought in the streets.

Guild members clashed with nobles.

Merchants were being robbed.

Fires burned across several districts.

The city guards were overwhelmed.

Inside the city hall…

The remaining leaders argued desperately.

"The forest barrier has destroyed our livelihood!"

"Adventurers are turning into criminals!"

"The empire hasn't responded!"

"And now the guard commander is missing!"

Fear spread through the room.

The town stood on the edge of collapse.

Draven's Decision

Back inside the corrupted forest…

Draven finished the interrogation.

He stood silently for a moment.

Then spoke calmly.

"Tomorrow."

A1 looked at him.

Draven's eyes glowed faintly red.

"We take the border town."

The corrupted forest seemed to tremble slightly.

A new conquest was about to begin.

And somewhere far away…

Storms were beginning to gather.
