Sophia's heart was racing as she followed Lady Victoria deeper into the hidden gallery. The air was thick with dust, and the only sound was the creaking of the old wooden floorboards beneath their feet.
As they walked, Sophia noticed that the portraits on the wall seemed to be watching her. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she gazed into the eyes of the royal ancestors.
Suddenly, Lady Victoria stopped in front of a large, ornate mirror. The glass was old and tarnished, and Sophia could see the faint outline of a face staring back at her.
"This is the Mirror of Truth," Lady Victoria said, her voice barely above a whisper. "It shows you the deepest, darkest secrets of those who gaze into its glass."
Sophia's eyes widened as she approached the mirror. She felt a strange, tingling sensation as she gazed into its depths.
And then, she saw him. Prince Henry, standing in the shadows, watching her.
Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she realized that Prince Henry was not who she thought he was. He was hiding secrets, and she was determined to uncover them.
As she gazed deeper into the mirror, Sophia saw images flashing before her eyes. She saw Prince Henry, meeting with a mysterious stranger in a dark alleyway. She saw him, taking a small, leather-bound book from the stranger's hand.
And she saw him, smiling, as he walked away from the meeting.
Sophia's mind was racing as she tried to process what she had seen. What was Prince Henry involved in? And what was the book he had taken?
As she turned away from the mirror, Sophia saw a figure standing in the shadows. It was Prince Henry, and his eyes were fixed on her with a cold, calculating gaze.
"Sophia," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "I see you've found the Mirror of Truth."
Sophia's heart was pounding as she tried to keep her cool. She knew she had to be careful, or Prince Henry would suspect that she knew his secrets.
"I'm just trying to find my way out," Sophia said, trying to sound innocent.
Prince Henry's smile was cold. "I think you're lying, Sophia. I think you're here to uncover the truth. And I think you're going to regret it."
As Prince Henry stepped closer, Sophia felt a wave of fear wash over her. She knew she was in grave danger.
And then, she heard a voice, calling out from the shadows.
"Prince Henry, I think you're making a mistake."
The voice was low and husky, and Sophia felt a shiver run down her spine as she recognized it.
It was Lady Emily, and she was alive.
