We were below Hellsing's old apartment in the training room. Charles set up the cube it was black when under light it was the color of a rainbow. Charles punched the cube. Charles' hand started to bleed. "Starlight: heal." Charles said as his wound healed. Then he punched it again. Blood spilled from his hand again.
"Is this your plan?" I questioned.
"Yeah." Charles said.
"Why are you so dumb." I asked myself. As Charles punches the cube again. His hand started to bleed as he hit it with his other hand.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said. He was hitting the sharp corners. He hits the corner again. His hand drips with blood. Charles hit it with the other hand. Then hits it again causing even more blood gushed out of his hand. He hit it again. Blood splattered on the cube. Again. He hit it. Does he even have a chance to break off a small piece?
"You should give up." I said.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said. As his hands completely heal. Then he hit it again. Even more blood rushed out of his hand. Charles slammed his hand into the alloy cube. He repeatedly hit the cube. His hands were coated in blood. Some of his knuckles were visible. One of his fingers was ringed like a towel.
"You okay." I questioned.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said. As the wounds mended themselves and looked brand new. He then punched it again. Again. Blood rushed from his hands like a waterfall. Thump! Thump!
"You should stop." Envy said within our head.
"Shut up Envy." Charles snarled as I felt our minds being cut. He punched it again. The cube was painted in fresh blood.
"Maybe you should listen to Envy." I said. As he punches harder. Again. Again. Again. Blood streamed out of his hands.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said the wounds once again. Then he started hitting the cube again. Again. Even faster than before. Faster. As he stopped his hands were coated in blood.
"Hey kid." Edward said with a brotherly smile.
"What?" Charles hisses with Venom in his voice. Edward seemed to be calm with a small smile.
"You want to train together?" Edward offered.
"What do you get out of it?" Charles snarled.
"A knowledge that I help someone young bloom into his full form." Edward said.
"I don't believe you." Charles said.
"Well, will you train with me?" Edward questioned.
"Go away." Charles said. As he punches the cube again. Once again.
"Spreading your feet apart will allow you to have more power." Edward called. Charles rolls his eyes. As he reluctantly took a wider stance. As he punches it again. Blood rushed from his spilt knuckles.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said. Edward's eyes widened just a little.
"Your Seris brother?" Edward said with a smile. He kinda looked like Charlotte?
"Would you like to fight?" Charles said with a blood thirsty grin. Edward smiles and picks up a shield tower and short sword. I took to the air.
"Sure." Edward said with a smile. As Charles charges at him. He used the shield to block the Jackal blade. He fired Ivory and it seemed to do nothing to the metal shield. Charles was flinged off like he weighed nothing. Charles smashed into the wall spider web like cracks formed.
"You're strong, I am really that weak?" Charles started to question himself.
"So far you have been a big fish in a small pond but that small pond has turned into an ocean." Edward said. He was quite wise. Charles once again charged in. Just to get fling into the wall again. Charles starts to smile. As he charges again. Using the shield as a springboard jumping off of the roof to get behind Edward. The shield swings like a rockslide slamming into Charles' side. Embedding him into the wall.
"Okay we can call it quits. I have class to go to." Charles said.
"Oh really? Who is your teacher?" Edward questioned. Charles nodded.
"Seris." Charles said.
"Och. Well nice to meet you Charles. If you missed my name it is Edward." Edward said.
"Thank you for the light spare." Charles said. As he entered the elevator Edward seemed to follow him closely.
"I will walk with you. There have been some reports of students with brown hair and blue eyes being killed." Edward said it sounded like a poor excuse.
"Whatever you say." Charles said with an eye roll. As we entered the open street.
"Behind you." Charlotte's voice rang in our head. Charles looks behind him to see Charlotte standing there. Her black hair moving in the wind. As she walks down an alley and disappears from sight.
"I must be tired." Charles said, rubbing his eyes.
"You okay?" Edward asked.
"My mind is playing tricks on me." Charles said. As we got to Hell Hunter school. Passing the gates. Edward was basically glued to Charles' side. As Charles enters to see Leo, Seris, Shadow, Pluto all waiting,
"Hey old man!" Seris said with a playful smile on his lips. Edward let out a long sigh.
"Why do you call me that?" Edward questioned.
"Because you are." Seris said. His smile was still there as Edward glared.
"It's good to see you, Mr Nobless." Leo spoke bowing at Edward.
"I wanted to meet your younger brother. He reminds me so much of him." Edward said, completely ignoring Leo. I thought I saw a tear slide down his cheek. Edward turns to leave.
"Thank you for stopping by." Seris spoke, waving cheerfully. "Now let's start training." Like a flip he switched to cold and cruel. He held his katana in his left hand. I took to the air.
"My partner." Charles said. As pure white starlight flowed from his body all around him.
"Burner Finger 4." Leo said. All four of them glowed with sunlight as they launched at Seris. As it suddenly grew stronger and changed course. Slamming into Charles. Charles starts to absorb it.
"Leo." Charles snarls.
"Sorry!" Leo said. As Seris blocks Pluto bident with his sheath katana. Seris grabbed his foot and threw him into Shadow. Slamming both of them into the wall.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Charles yelled. As a pure white twister of starlight rushed at Seris as it seemed to get stronger than change course slamming into Shadow and Leo. Seris appeared beside Pluto.
"Just us." Seris said. A happy smile on his face.
"Supreme Starlight: Arrow." Charles said as an arrow made of pure white was made. As it was launched. It suddenly gained power and then it hit the ceiling covering the area with bright light. The whole roof was blasted off. Seris then smashed the but of his katana into Charles' neck, knocking him out.
"Starlight: Heal." Seris said with a smile. As then he waited just watching Charles creepy. As they slowly woke up.
"Why do I hurt so bad?" Leo question.
"It feels like my organs were pulverized." Shadow complained.
"Quite complaining." Charles said. Both of them jumped. "So what do you think about yesterday's talk?" Charles questioned.
"What talk?" Seris said looking confused.
"About how to score points in the upcoming festival." Charles said.
"Well it's simple, the first part will be separate in your years where only ten of you pass. Others can buy their way to the second exam with 1,000 points. Sorry about forgetting." Seris said with a smile.
"Thank you." Charles said. He sends a glance at Leo, Shadow and Pluto. As we all walked out. Mary O'bell was standing there.
"Do you know who used that attack?" She questions. Pointing at the roof of the training ground. They were placed out of the school but were like indoor baseball fields.
"No clue." Charles said walking past. Mary O'bell she seemed to be suspicious about something. But we walked away.
"Thank you for showing up on time." Mrs Freya said with a smile.
"Thanks." Shadow said.
"Now onto the information about your class president. It is Charles Starling." Mrs Freya said with a small smile. Charles looks like a deer in headlights.
"How did I win?" Charles asked.
"Well how would anyone win with votes." Mrs Freya said. A small shake of her head.
"No surprise." Shadow said.
"But we will be ending it early today. You have over the weekend to get ready for the festival." Mrs Freya said as the class started to leave. He goes back to the apartment building and that cube in the training room. He punched as hard as possible. Blood came out of his knuckles again. He hit it again and again. Again. Again. Once more. The blood flowed like a river.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said.
"Why are you so obsessed with breaking this thing?" I asked.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said. "Forgiveness from her." He said. As he starts to punch again.
