Chapter 3 - Chp 3: Spilling blood

Just a day later Marika informed me that I'll be trained by one of the strongest soldiers she could have. Radahn, the Star scourge, the master of gravity.

And how is this mythical person? "COME ON! YOU GOT THIS! ONE MORE PUSH!"

A man of energy that equals his stature. In other words, a lot.

And what were we doing together? Radahn called it "breaking the weak through sweat!" So ya I was half naked and drenched in sweat next to a equally half naked but less sweaty Radahn.

Don't let him energy or size make you think he wasn't intelligent. For war was a subject he was a scholar of. So much so that he knew what mausle groups to work out for the weapon Marika was making for me. For what weapon that is, I sadly don't know but I can tell that it's most likely a weapon of length.

I finally got done with the last of the push ups Radahn made my goal and to say my body feels as if my soul was killed.

"Good job Godrick, to actually meet what I demanded and before the moon was at its apex. You truly have something in that weak body! Hahahah!" Radahn clapped my shoulder roughly while laughing. Marika he was strong, I almost fell from one slap.

But his wide smile turned serious after a moment and with a solemn expression and soft voice he continued. "I don't know what kind of pain being the one to end your family must bring onto your soul."

"Radahn, you don't understand." His face shifted to confusion to my words. "They stopped being family when they killed children just to fuel their lust for dominance and power." The image of Godefroy using his multiple limps to rip our younger cousins own limbs off. How he smiled as their screams died out and their blood dripped down on him.

"Especially him, the head of the serpent of this monstrous rebellion. Radahn, can I be selfish and request to fight him alone." Radahn's shadow seemed to hesitate for but a moment before he nodded.

"Yes, I know you desire for retribution against the one who laid the seeds of heresy into your family. So if you desire to end him then we will get your body ready for it." Radahn lifted his swords as I lifted my helbard.

"I expect much from you hatchling."

A month of preparations and training we were ready to ambush one of the less important parts of Godefroy's trade of corpses. It was just me and a squad of knights and soldiers. Radahn desired to join but was told that his stature would alert the enemy of our approach. Malenia and Miquella also wished to come but I was the one who told them not to come, Malenia had just gotten into a battle ready state so if something happened it'll be even harder to fix than before. So it was just me and some knights from the dragon cult, along with one knight of my ancestor Godfrey, a Crucible Knight.

"Lord Godrick, the time is nigh. The soldiers are ready for your orders." Edgar stood next to me wearing his banished knight armor and wielding a halberd.

I took a deep breath and took a step forward. "Everyone! It's time we strike the first of the corrupted limbs of the gilded! My knights and I shall be the first to engage, than the knight of the dragon cult shall follow than over take the spear head! Than the crucible knight will make sure to deal with whatever omen and grafted scions they can!" I lifted my halberd and charged, with a yell the others joined me.

I ran slightly slower than the knights around me due to the fact I have less endurance than them and still wasn't used to my armor or weapon. But it was time to use my weapon's might to shatter the wall into the camp.

Piercing Gold

A golden aura enveloped the tip of my helberd as I throw it like a spear into the wall causing branch like lines of gold to appear and blow up the wall. Then I lifted my hand to the side and felt the weight of both my weapon and the mental fatigue come to me.

Smith-script, an ancient forging technique that bound to its user and would return to their hand once deployed, sadly it has been lost to the shadows of time. My weapon is a pale replication of it made by Queen Markia.

I and the knights leapt over the wall as my knights parted to the sides as the dragon cult rushed past us wrapped in golden lightning.

"To see the lightning crafted by my ancestor is truly incredible." I felt a hand land on my shoulder and once I turned to see the crucible knight who finally unleashed their weapon, a great hammer. "You aren't like your ancestors, but there is still strength in you."

To hear it from someone who has serviced under both of them made their words hit harder, "you aren't like your ancestors," something I would never want to hear especially since I'm putting my life on the line just for the chance to be like them. But to hear that I had my own strength was something that ignited my blood.

"Then I won't disappoint then." I lifted my helberd and chaged forward a took my first kill. It was a normal soldier of my cousin but it was still a life. One that will feed the Erdtree.

"Charge!" I stepped over the corpse as grafted beasts cried out in rage and pain. It's truly sickening when I saw that I knew some of the people in those beasts.

"I'll leave this to you!" I jumped over the beast as the crucible knight meet its face with their hammer.
