Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Xia City

It was a beautiful day. The sky was clear, without a single cloud. The weather was perfect.

In front of the city mall, a young man in his early twenties was walking toward the entrance. Today was his paycheck day. He had been painfully saving money for months so he could buy the latest model of the MyPhone for his crush.

He had been in love with Shanta for a long time. He wanted to buy a new phone so that he could finally confess his feelings to her.

He went to the second floor of the mall to buy the phone. After some time, he purchased it. He was happy—truly happy.

As he was going downstairs, he suddenly noticed a beautiful girl walking with a middle-aged man. They were chatting closely, like a couple. That girl was his crush.

He was overwhelmed with emotion. He had loved her for so long, but seeing her walking beside another man shattered his heart.

His chest felt heavy. He tightly gripped his newly purchased phone, trying to steady himself as his world quietly fell apart.

He went to a nearby café to calm himself. He was deeply sad, his heart heavy, tears threatening to fall.

Suddenly, an incident occurred nearby. Some people wearing black masks appeared, guns in their hands, and began shooting at everyone.

Everything fell into chaos.

People ran for their lives. Women and children cried and screamed in terror.

He didn't know what to do. Everything happened so suddenly that he was confused and scared.

Then he noticed a mother and her child nearby, frozen in fear. The child was crying, and they had nowhere to run. One of the gunmen was walking toward them.

He stood up and looked around. Nearby, he spotted a cleaning brush. He grabbed it and moved toward the gunmen.

With all his strength, he swung the brush like a bat and struck one of them on the head. The other gunmen immediately turned toward him.

He made a hand signal to the mother and child, telling them to escape.

The woman thanked him, grabbed her child, and ran toward the exit. At that moment, the sound of gunfire reached his ears.

Two bullets pierced his chest.

The gunmen stared at him like he was nothing more than a pathetic insect. He smiled.

His consciousness began to fade.

That was the end of a heroic man who sacrificed himself to protect others.

---

At the edge of a remote village, beside the Crimson Forest, stood a small wooden house.

In front of the house lay a modest farm of potatoes and cabbages, surrounded by a wooden fence to protect the crops from wild animals and monsters.

Inside the house, a sixteen-year-old boy sat quietly on a chair. He was dressed like a commoner, and his face looked pale.

"I've been reincarnated into another world," he murmured. Shock and excitement were clearly visible on his face.

He had died protecting a mother and her child, and now he had been reborn in a different world.

He thought this was his chance to become a hero just like the ones in the novels he used to read back in school. A powerful swordsman, surrounded by beautiful women.

He was lost in his excitement when suddenly a jolt of pain surged through his head. It felt like an electric current.

Memories that did not belong to him began flooding his mind. The memories of the original owner of this body.

'Raeshan Silverhart' was the name of this body. He was the third son of the Silverhart family, a viscount household famous for producing strong swordsmen.

On Raeshan's fifteenth birthday, he underwent his aptitude test. He was shocked to discover that he possessed no talent at all.

His father was deeply disappointed in him. There was no one in the household willing to speak up for him. In the end, he was cast out of the family and exiled to a remote village.

To the outside world, the third son of the Silverhart family had died heroically while protecting civilians from monsters.

In reality, Raeshan struggled every day just to survive in that isolated village, surrounded by dense forests crawling with monsters.

He sighed. It would be a lie to say he wasn't disappointed with this body for being talentless. At the same time, he felt pity for the original owner. Born into a noble family, yet without the talent or support to defend himself.

After accepting his new identity, he stood up from the chair and looked around for a mirror to see his new face. The house was rundown barely worthy of being called a house.

A few minutes later, he gazed at his reflection in a bucket of water. He had silver hair and blue eyes, and his features were handsome. However, after working on the farm for a year, his skin had darkened, making his overall appearance rather average.

Still, it was better than having an ugly face.

He stepped outside to take in his surroundings. There stood the old wooden house, a small potato and cabbage farm, and a well that provided fresh water.

Behind the house stretched a dense forest, dark and ominous. In front of it, a five-minute walk down the path led to the village.

He didn't go to the village often. Having been born into a noble family, spending his life in a remote village was too much for a young nobleman to bear. Still, for the sake of survival, he had made a few friends among the villagers.

He looked up at the sky, where the gentle morning sunlight shone down.

It was time to get to work on the farm.

He returned to the house and gathered his farming tools. A few minutes later, he stood in the field, looking over his cabbages. They had grown large and green, ready to be harvested.

He gripped his hoe and prepared to cut one of the cabbages.

At that moment, a transparent window suddenly appeared before his eyes.
