Chapter 43 - Astonishing Two Elixirs

Both of their breaths sounded heavy and ragged, filling the bathroom space which now felt much hotter than before. After the wild, intensely passionate intimacy that lasted for more than six consecutive rounds finally ended, their bodies truly reached their limits.

Arvin and Allen lay limp in an embrace, enjoying the lingering tremors of the climax they had just reached together. Sweat flooded their skin, evidence of the intensity of their union of love tonight.

As his breathing began to regulate, Arvin's memory drifted to a precious item he had once found in the underground chamber right beneath the academy library.

Without letting go of his embrace on Allen, Arvin moved his hand slightly. A faint light emerged from his storage ring, and a second later, he took out two small bottles containing beautifully shimmering golden liquid.

Arvin handed one bottle of the potion to Allen, who was still lying on top of him.

Allen blinked his eyes, staring at the crystal bottle in his hand with confusion. The liquid inside seemed to emit a calming magical glow.

"What potion is this?" asked Allen curiously, twirling the bottle in his slender fingers.

Arvin gazed deeply at Allen. "This is the Elixir of Immortality."

Allen's eyes widened. His mouth parted slightly in shock. He knew how rare and nonsensical the item he was holding right now was. In this world, such an elixir was considered only a myth.

"E-Elixir of Immortality?" his voice trembled. "W-Why are you giving this terrifying potion to me? Do... do you want us both to live eternally?"

"Not just eternal, but you will also remain forever young." answered Arvin firmly without hesitation. His hand stroked Allen's flushed cheek.

"What did you say?" exclaimed Allen, shocked but amazed at the same time. "Do you not want to lose my looks that much?"

"Yes!" answered Arvin gently but firmly. "Because when I wake up every morning, I want to gaze at your cute face that is always smiling. I don't want us to be separated by death or old age. I want to be with you forever, Allen. Hundreds, even thousands of years from now."

Allen was struck speechless. His heart trembled violently. He tried to imagine living with Arvin in eternity. Gazing at his husband's handsome face that would never wrinkle, living days without fear of death's separation. It sounded like a dream too beautiful to be true.

Slowly, a moved smile blossomed on his lips.

"If that is your wish, my dear Husband..." said Allen softly, "then I will gladly live eternally with you! I don't want to part from you either."

Allen raised his bottle. "Let's toast to our eternity!"

Clink!

The clear sound of glass clinking was heard as the two bottles met. Without hesitation, they drank together until the last drop. It tasted sweet, warm, and refreshing, as if life energy had just been poured into every cell of their bodies.

After the bottles were empty, Arvin looked at Allen seriously.

"Listen, Allen. Although this is an elixir of immortality and eternal youth, you must remember one thing." Arvin warned with a stern tone. "You can still die if your heart is pierced, your head is decapitated, or your body is completely destroyed. This potion only stops aging and disease, it does not make you immune to murder."

Allen nodded obediently, his gaze full of trust. "Yes, I understand! I will take good care of myself for you."

Silence fell for a moment, providing comfort between them. However, Allen's memory suddenly drifted to an incident some time ago in class, when Arvin forced him to drink something roughly. That curiosity resurfaced.

"Arvin..." called Allen softly. "What potion did you actually give me in class that time?"

Arvin smiled faintly, realizing Allen was still thinking about it. "That was a strengthening potion that functions to permanently strengthen your physique and magic capacity. Its name is the Elixir of Archmage. I deliberately sought it out specifically for you so you would become stronger and not easily bullied."

Allen was stunned. The Elixir of Archmage was another legendary item. However, his emotion was slightly disturbed by the memory of how Arvin gave it to him.

"But, why did you make me drink it so roughly?" asked Allen with a slightly annoyed tone, his lips pouting cutely. "You grabbed my cheeks very hard and forced me to swallow it. It hurt, you know!"

Arvin sighed, his face looking a bit guilty but also adoring. "Honestly, at that time I was still annoyed with you. You weren't honest about your feelings, you just stayed silent when bullied, and you were always stealing glances at me without daring to speak. I was frustrated! If you had confessed your feelings properly and more bravely from the start, I would definitely have treated you like a queen, not in a rough way like that!"

"And most importantly," Arvin continued his words, "no one else realizes that it is a very powerful potion! If they knew, they would definitely try to find out about it!"

Hearing the reason that sounded like pouting, Allen's annoyance evaporated instantly. Turns out, Arvin was just impatient and awkward in expressing his care and also want to keep everything a secret from everyone.

Allen hugged his husband's body tightly, resting his head on his chest.

"Forgive me for being a coward..." whispered Allen. "But, promise me one thing. If you want me to drink something again, please don't be rough! I prefer your gentle way like tonight."

Arvin returned the hug just as tightly, kissing the top of Allen's head. "How could I be rough again when you have officially become my life partner like this, Allen! I will treat you very gently from now on."

Allen loosened his hug slightly, then looked at Arvin's face with a very intense gaze, as if searching for the truth behind those blue eyes.

"Arvin..." Allen's voice lowered, full of emotion. "You really returned to the past, didn't you? You knew the location of that elixir, you knew the future... Did you take all those potions just for me? I don't know what my fate was in your previous life. But seeing how hard you tried to live the stupid fate of a villain... you must have suffered greatly in that future, right?"

Allen's eyes began to glaze over. He imagined Arvin alone, hurt, and desperate to the point of having to turn back time to save him.

Arvin fell silent hearing Allen's assumption.

At least, let him think I returned to the past as a regressor. thought Arvin. It would be too complicated if I explained that I come from another world and this world is just a game to me. But... considering the fact that I have finished the game and know all the storylines, it's not wrong if I'm considered to have 'returned to the past'. As if I'm restarting the game in this world and living the storyline from the beginning again with different choices.
