Chapter 200 - Closer Than Expected

Arvin stepped calmly toward the door on the left, leaving Alvein and Kylen who were still standing near the stairs. The sound of his footsteps could be heard softly breaking the silence of the underground room.

Upon arriving there, the youth stopped for a moment and stared at the door in front of him. He grabbed the doorknob, turned it slowly, and opened it.

Click!

The door opened. What greeted him was only a pitch-black room in front of him.

Arvin raised his hand and immediately ignited his light magic. As soon as the room was illuminated by the light from his magic, a vast number of books could be seen still arranged very neatly on the wooden shelves.

Without thinking twice, he opened his storage dimension space and stored all the books along with all their shelves at once until the room became completely empty.

After storing everything, Arvin walked around the room to check all the corners and meticulously search for another secret room.

He felt and observed every corner of the room starting from the left, right, front, to the back walls. He even checked the ceiling structure above and the stone arrangement below, however, he found no signs of any other secret room there.

Feeling that his business in the first room was finished, he walked out of the room and stepped toward the second door on the other side.

Upon arriving there, he held the doorknob and tried to turn it.

Click!

The door was locked.

He took one step back from his position, then focused mana into his palm to destroy the locked door.

Crash!

With the strike of his wind magic, the stone door shattered to pieces. Its debris scattered across the floor, creating a cloud of dust.

As a result of the destructive magic Arvin cast, the alarm in the library above them rang loudly again, making the two guards who were keeping watch in the room startled and immediately stand up from their seats.

The incredibly loud alarm sound instantly made the other four guards who were patrolling outside immediately run toward the library. However, upon arriving there, the four of them were just as surprised as the two guards keeping watch inside the library when they found that the room only contained their two comrades.

"Why did the bell ring again?" asked a guard who had just arrived, panting heavily.

"We both don't know either! The bell suddenly rang by itself." answered one of the guards keeping watch in the library while looking around him.

"This is truly confusing! What is actually happening here?" another guard chimed in. "Only now has this strange incident occurred! It's better if we report this incident to the academy Dean tomorrow."

The other five guards agreed with the suggestion, but they still chose to return to their duties. Two people remained on guard inside the library and the others walked back out to patrol the entire academy building area.

Meanwhile, underground, Arvin stepped forward past the stone debris and entered the room whose door had been destroyed, without knowing what was happening in the library.

His brightly shining light magic banished the darkness in the room. Instantly, his gaze was drawn to a single object. Over there, a magic book was placed on a table and tightly sealed with chains wrapped around it.

What magic book is that? Why is it chained like that? Is it a forbidden and taboo book for this world?

Those questions kept ringing in his mind. Moreover, the chained magic book was not mentioned at all in the original storyline of the game.

His curiosity had peaked. Without thinking twice, Arvin activated his magic and directly stored the chained book into his storage dimension space, then resumed stepping to check for the presence of a secret room.

For the second time, Arvin traced the walls from the left, right, front, back, top, down to the bottom of the floor in detail. However, there were no signs of any secret room inside that room, so he walked out of it and returned to meet Alvein and Kylen, who had been standing waiting for him near the stairs all this time.

"Honey, is there anything suspicious?" Alvein asked curiously upon seeing his husband approach.

"There is nothing strange other than the fact that there are many magic books stored there!" Arvin answered, feeling slightly distressed. "Hopefully, out of all the books I found here, there is a magic book about cloning magic."

"We will check them together later." Alvein said with a gentle smile, trying to comfort his husband. "Now, let's go back."

"Are you guys talking about cloning magic?" Kylen suddenly chimed in. "In the palace library, that book exists, you know. Because cloning magic is magic from the water and darkness elements."

Hearing what he had just said, Arvin and Alvein spontaneously turned their heads toward the prince.

"Are you serious about what you just said, Kylen?" Arvin asked, staring intently at his face.

"Why would I lie to you, Darling?" Kylen answered casually without hesitation. "If I didn't know about it, how could I know that cloning magic comes from the water and darkness elements?"

Arvin stepped forward and immediately hugged Kylen's body tightly, feeling incredibly happy. Spontaneously, Kylen's face flushed bright red upon realizing that his prospective husband's body was now pressing so tangibly against his own.

Am I being hugged by him? Kylen thought in surprise, his eyes widening.

"Kylen, thank you!" Arvin said happily with his baritone voice. "You are my savior from the frustration that has been constantly haunting me for not being able to give affection using only this one single body."

"B-B-But, could you release your hug? My shaft is hardening, Darling." Kylen squeaked in fluster, his voice slightly suppressed.

"No problem!" Arvin answered casually, still maintaining his position. "I am feeling happy right now. Besides, I am your prospective husband, right? Why should you feel embarrassed around me!"

"You jerk! Now I feel embarrassed myself!" Kylen grumbled with a pout, trying to hide his face that was already as red as a boiled crab.

....

....

Time continued to pass until the night grew deeper. Now, Arvin, along with Alvein and Kylen, had returned and set foot on the terrace of the house.

When they opened their eyes, Alrain was sitting faithfully guarding the house door while waiting for the arrival of the three of them.

"Are you done?" Alrain asked to confirm.

"Yes, it is done!" Arvin answered enthusiastically, walking closer to his second spouse. "I also know where the cloning magic is located now."

Hearing his husband's words, Alrain immediately became enthusiastic as if completely forgetting his sleepiness. "Is that true? Where is that magic book?"

"In the palace library of the Flamort Kingdom, the place where Kylen lives."

Alrain turned his head slowly, looking at Kylen's face who was standing next to his husband. "Is what he said true?"

The prince nodded in confirmation with a proud smile. "While we're at it, later when he proposes to me at the palace, I will take him to the library, then the two of us will immediately return to the Astoria Kingdom once all the proposal and magic matters are finished."

"Good idea!" Alrain replied enthusiastically. "Let's go inside! The night is getting late."

The four of them then went inside the house and headed straight to bed to rest immediately.
