Chapter 319 - A Sudden Request

Calverd, who stood near them, felt shocked. He was frozen, his eyes widening as he witnessed the scene unfolding right before his eyes.

Calverd's breathing became erratic. The air inside the bathroom, which had previously felt warm and soothing, now seemed to thin out, suffocating his lungs. Dark memories of the rape he had endured earlier tried to take over his consciousness.

Although the fear was real, his body gave a reaction completely beyond his control. His body began to tremble slightly. His blood rushed hot, and his heart pumping at a crazy rhythm. Instinctively, he desperately wanted to close his eyes or look away, escaping the visual stimulus that triggered the storm in his head.

However, his strong desire to immediately break free from the shackles of his trauma made Calverd hold himself back with all his might. He forced his eyes to stay open and continued to watch the scene playing out in front of him.

His breathing grew ragged, sounding increasingly heavy amidst the silence of the room. His head also started to feel dizzy.

I... I have... Calverd thought, unable to finish the sentence in his head as his vision instantly went black.

Thud!

The indigo-haired youth fainted, his consciousness completely severed, and his body crashed against the bathroom floor.

Hearing the sound of the falling body and realizing that Calverd had fainted, Arvin and Kaydan instantly stopped their actions. Both of them immediately checked the condition of the indigo-haired youth who was now lying helplessly on the floor.

"Calverd!" Kaydan cried out in panic, kneeling beside the indigo-haired youth. "What's wrong? Calverd, wake up!"

Swiftly, Arvin also knelt down. Two of his fingers immediately pressed gently against Calverd's wrist, checking his pulse.

Arvin let out a long breath, feeling relieved because the youth's pulse was beating normally.

Slowly, he began to slip both of his arms, one under the crook of Calverd's knees and the other under his back. With very careful movements, he began to move the limp body and carried him bridal style.

"I will lay him down in the bedroom so he can rest." Arvin said calmly, standing up straight and beginning to step out toward the bathroom door. He glanced briefly at Kaydan. "Put on your clothes immediately, Kaydan."

"Yes, My Light!" Kaydan answered obediently, quickly grabbing his pajama top and bottom that had been ignored earlier, then putting them on in a hurry.

Arvin, who was already at the bathroom doorway, faithfully waited for his spouse to finish dressing. He stood tall, not caring in the slightest that he himself was currently still naked, carrying Calverd in his arms.

After Kaydan finished putting on his clothes, the two of them immediately walked out of the bathroom.

Upon their arrival in the dining room area, the atmosphere previously decorated with quiet chatter instantly halted. All the youths sitting and waiting at the dining table turned their heads in unison.

They were all shocked by the arrival of Kaydan walking side-by-side with their husband, who was still naked, carrying the unconscious body of Calverd.

"Honey!" Alvein exclaimed in shock, immediately standing up from his chair. His eyes widened at the sight of the indigo-haired youth hanging limply in his husband's arms. "What happened to him?"

"He suddenly fainted in the bathroom." Arvin answered calmly, his footsteps not slowing down in the slightest as he passed the large dining table. "I'm heading to the bedroom to lay him on the bed now."

Arvin kept walking out of the dining room area and moved steadily toward the central hall. He climbed the stairs slowly, planting his feet on the steps to head to the row of bedrooms on the second floor of the mansion.

Behind him, his eleven spouses, including Kaydan, immediately followed him from behind like a group struck by anxiety. They all felt very worried about the condition of their new family member.

Once he arrived on the second floor and stood right in front of the fourth bedroom's door, Arvin immediately opened the wooden door. He walked inside toward the bed in the room.

Standing beside the bed, he immediately bent down slowly, laying Calverd's body on the bed with utmost care.

After ensuring his spouse's body was in a safe and comfortable position on the bed, Arvin slowly began to pull his arms from under the limp body. He took the thick blanket folded at the foot of the bed, then pulled it up to cover the indigo-haired youth's body up to his chest.

"My Husband, how could he faint like that?" Allen asked with a worried expression.

Arvin turned his head, looking at his eleven spouses who were giving him anxious looks.

"I also don't know the main trigger for certain." Arvin replied calmly. "But it seems he fainted from the side effects of the trauma he was forcefully trying to fight against."

"His trauma?" Ordion repeated, chiming into their conversation with a furrowed brow. Curiosity clearly radiated on his face.

Hearing the follow-up question that pointed toward Calverd's dark past, Arvin's gaze turned a bit firmer.

"Forgive me, I don't want to tell you about it." Arvin answered as he stepped away from the bed and walked slowly toward the door. His voice sounded final. "You probably shouldn't ask him about it later. Just wait until the time comes when Calverd himself tells you directly."

Seeing the reaction shown by their husband, all the youths immediately nodded in understanding. Not a single one of them intended to argue or press further. They perfectly understood that boundary and did not want to make one of their family members, whose heart was currently wounded, feel pressured.

Not wanting to disturb the twelfth who was unconscious and needed extra peace, the eleven of them retreated slowly. They left the room and let him rest, then closed the door without making the slightest noise.

Outside the bedroom, Arvin immediately shifted his focus. He walked down the stairs to the first floor to immediately clean up the mess caused by Calverd's telekinesis magic earlier.

Arriving at the location of the damage, Arvin stood in the middle of the debris. Several wooden furniture pieces were broken, porcelain vases were shattered into pieces, and the position of the sofas was a bit messy.

Arvin raised both of his hands. With his alchemy magic, he restructured the basic materials of those objects, reforming all the broken and shattered furniture until it was completely whole again without a single scratch.

After the structures of those objects were perfect once more, all the furniture that was out of place immediately floated slowly in the air, and he returned them to their original positions with high precision using telekinesis magic.

His eleven spouses who were standing in the room could only stay silent, carefully observing what Arvin was doing. They were all completely amazed by how easily their husband cleaned up the mess inside the room.

Arion, whose eyes hadn't blinked while staring at the material fusion process earlier, swallowed hard.

Arvin had once mentioned that he had a talent for alchemy. Seeing the demonstration of alchemy magic right before his eyes made the youth even more ambitious to begin practicing immediately until he was proficient in using it.

In less than fifteen minutes, the entire interior of the mansion was neat and clean as before, as if no chaos had ever occurred.

After making sure everything was clean, Arvin lowered his hands and turned his body to face the eleven youths who were still paying attention to him. His gaze turned much more serious.

"All of you, please sit down!" Arvin requested with a commanding voice to all his spouses, pointing toward the dining table. "There's something important matter that I must convey to you right now!"

Sensing the sudden change in atmosphere and their husband's serious tone, not a single one raised a question. Without arguing in the slightest, one by one they started walking toward the dining table and sat in their respective chairs.
