While Davin, Arion, and the seven adventurers were engrossed in their conversation regarding witnessing for the guild and also about the Giant Wasp's body, their attention was suddenly diverted.
From the depths of the dark cave, a yellow luminescence appeared, growing brighter as it moved toward the outside of the cave.
Along with the approaching light, the loud thuds of rocks collapsing and hitting the cave floor echoed ever more deafeningly. The ground beneath their feet vibrated in a constant rhythm.
From behind the dark cave, the figure of Alrain slowly emerged.
The green-haired youth continued walking backward with measured steps, while incessantly firing a barrage of his lightning magic flashes toward the cave ceiling.
Rumble...
At the exact second the green-haired youth stepped out and stood safely in the open area of the forest, the rocky cave that once stood firm finally collapsed completely, permanently sealing the access to the underground corridor.
Realizing that, Davin, Arion, and the seven adventurers were gathered standing only a dozen meters away from where he stood, Alrain immediately canceled his magic and turned his head.
"Which one of the seven of you can use the earth element?" Alrain asked with a fairly loud voice.
The seven adventurers exchanged glances for a moment before finally, one of them, a middle-aged man, raised his right hand.
"I can do it!" the man exclaimed in a confident tone.
Alrain looked straight at the middle-aged man who had just answered him.
"If you can use earth element magic, please permanently bury the remains of this collapsed cave." Alrain requested in a straightforward tone, directing his gaze and pointing toward the giant mound of rocks from the destroyed cave. "Just level out the cave ruins so they're completely flush with the surrounding ground and no longer look like a pile of rocks like this."
"Very well, I will do it!" the adventurer replied without the slightest hesitation, feeling relieved because the given task was quite simple.
The middle-aged man hurriedly stepped forward, separating himself from his group and approaching the collapsed cave ruins to begin his work.
Upon arriving near Alrain, the man stopped. He took the magic wand from his waist and pointed it forward.
The man closed his eyes, focused his concentration, and immediately chanted a magic spell with a deep, echoing voice.
"O universe, sound the cracking echo that shakes this world!" the man chanted his magic spell with deep soulfulness. "Devour Land!"
Rumble...
Instantly, the solid ground in the area before them churned like boiling water. A much more powerful vibration began to ripple through everyone's footing.
And the scene that followed was quite astonishing. The ground around the collapsed cave began to move alive, softening and swallowing everything above it. The earth material moved like giant jaws devouring all the weight of the cave's rocky ruins, pulling and sinking everything deep beneath the surface of the ground.
The sight left Alrain slightly amazed. He stood silently watching the earth manipulation magic he was witnessing work to cover the traces of the underground space. But suddenly, a memory in his head recalled a strong figure from the past who could also control the earth element exceptionally well.
That figure was none other than Orvion.
If he did not die in this era and could ultimately become my husband's loyal spouse, would he be able to use earth magic manipulatively and as detailed as this man too? Alrain pondered inwardly, feeling a bit curious about a future potential that never came to pass. A gust of forest wind swept across his face. But... unfortunately, he had to die by my own hands.
Amidst his reverie about the person who had saved his life in his previous life, he remembered Alvein, who was a Morpher.
Alrain assumes that Orvion will eventually become a Morpher.
If he is truly becomes a Morpher exactly like Alvein... will he still retain his consciousness as the old Orvion? Or will he just become a magical entity figure with a new personality who only lives to follow every command of his master absolutely?
However, while he was lost in his internal thoughts about Orvion and the existence of Morphers, without him realizing it, the land leveling process in front of him had finished.
The previously messy ruins of the cave rocks in front of him had now vanished and blended perfectly with the ground, as if the existence of that cave had never been there.
"Young Master, everything is done!" the middle-aged man said in a relieved tone, an exclamation that spontaneously shattered the green-haired youth's long daydream.
Alrain blinked, returning his focus to the real world. He saw that there were no traces of the cave left.
"Thank you very much for your help. Your work is very neat." Alrain said sincerely.
Then, he took out 70 Golds from his magic bag and handed the valuable money to the middle-aged man.
"Take this money and distribute it equally among your comrades."
Seeing the exceptionally fantastic amount of money in front of him, the middle-aged man was stunned stiff for a moment. He looked in disbelief at the green-haired youth's palm in front of him.
"A-Are you sure about giving this much money to me and my comrades, Young Master?" he asked haltingly, feeling uneasy about accepting so much money.
Alrain nodded firmly without the slightest hesitation on his face.
"Accept it, and I don't want you to refuse this gift of mine!"
The middle-aged man looked up, staring intently into the eyes of the green-haired youth in front of him. The two of them gazed at each other in silence for a few moments.
"Very well, if you insist... I will accept your gift, Young Master." the man decided.
Hearing the decision made by the middle-aged man, Alrain smiled in satisfaction and relief.
"Open your palms!" Alrain commanded softly.
The man placed his magic wand back at his waist, then opened both of his palms wide in an accepting gesture.
As soon as the man held out his palms, Alrain directly placed and handed all the money into his hands carefully.
"Thank you very much for your generosity, Young Master!" the man said sincerely, his voice trembling slightly because of the large amount of money he had received.
"Yes, you are welcome!" Alrain replied casually. He then turned his body to face the gathering point. "Let us head back immediately and regroup with them. The three of us must also quickly continue our exploration to find the herbal plants our husband desires."
The man nodded in understanding. Together with Alrain, he walked side by side toward their comrades who had been waiting all along.
