Arvin, who was still standing tall in front of the bookshelf, began to open the dark blue cover and immediately read the first page. With a burning enthusiasm in his chest, he earnestly read everything written in that magic book.
He turned page after page at a constant rhythm. His eyes moved from left to right with utmost seriousness, radiating an incredibly sharp focus. He read each page at a speed that was completely unnatural for a normal human being.
Arvin was not merely reading a string of words. His brain was literally dissecting, recording, and absorbing everything he read.
Watching Arvin devour the contents of such a heavy book at such a rapid pace was a strange sight for Kylen.
Can he really read this fast? he wondered to himself, struck by a considerable amount of astonishment. He did not divert his gaze in the slightest from his husband's face, which was drowning in a sea of concentration. The speed of his page-turning looked more like someone looking for a picture rather than someone trying to understand magic.
However, amidst his astonishment, Kylen's memory was suddenly pulled back to a past incident. He recalled the moment when Arvin was furious with Davin in the side yard of the shelter house.
At that time, amidst a surge of overflowing emotions, his husband was able to copy the gate magic Davin possessed incredibly quickly and easily with just a single glance. Moreover, it was his husband himself who had shown that concrete proof directly right before his eyes by opening a teleportation gate leading to the mansion in the capital of the Astoria Kingdom.
Realizing who he was dealing with right now, a faint smile slowly bloomed on Kylen's lips. His astonishment instantly evaporated, replaced by a profound sense of awe.
I am certain he will instantly master that cloning magic perfectly in the blink of an eye. It's better if I don't disturb him now. I should let him focus and start looking for a book to read.
Kylen immediately turned his body and stepped away. He walked calmly toward the row of bookshelves next to him, beginning to scan the spines of the neatly arranged books to find an interesting read before lunchtime arrived.
As time went by, the atmosphere inside the royal library felt so peaceful. Everyone in there had found their respective reading materials and was now fully focused on the books in their hands.
A soothing silence reigned over the room. Occasionally, only the soft rustling of paper broke the stillness when one of them turned a page.
Some time later, Arvin closed the dark blue covered book, signaling that he had finished reading it to the very last page.
Once again, he focused his mana and utilized his telekinesis magic. The book slowly levitated out of his hands, ascending into the air with a very smooth motion, and then slipped right back into its original place on the top shelf with a very high degree of precision.
As soon as the book was back in its place, Arvin let out a long sigh. His facial expression, which usually always looked flat and unreadable, now radiated a tremendous sense of relief. He felt as though a massive boulder that had been weighing down his shoulders had just been lifted.
Perfect! Arvin thought in satisfaction. He clenched his fist for a moment. I have stored and memorized all the magic formulas written in that book very clearly in my head, including that cloning magic. Once I finish all my business in this Flamort Kingdom, I will immediately practice and perfect it as soon as I arrive at the mansion later.
Standing amidst the silence, Arvin's mind slowly began to wander. Without realizing it, he imagined the facial expressions of all his spouses who were currently waiting for his return in the Astoria Kingdom.
He imagined how their faces would smile happily upon seeing that he had successfully mastered the cloning magic they had always wished for.
Imagining the future harmony of his household, an incredibly pure feeling of happiness slowly surged, filling his heart and mind. That sense of peace felt so warm and real.
And without Arvin realizing it, the overflowing emotional feelings in his chest resonated very strongly through the Soul Seal magic.
Those who had bound their souls through the Soul Seal Ritual could instantly feel the vibration of happiness currently being felt by their husband. That warmth flowed like a soothing current of water.
In front of a different shelf, Kylen, who was reading a history book, instantly stopped his movements. He felt the rush of happiness emanating from his husband.
Kylen smiled even wider. Of course, he knew exactly what the true meaning was behind the feeling of happiness his husband was currently experiencing.
However, in a place separated by hundreds of kilometers from the Flamort Kingdom, Arvin's spouses who were currently in the capital of the Astoria Kingdom clearly had a different interpretation.
Feeling the wave of happiness and relief suddenly flowing so strongly in the middle of the day like this, they all automatically interpreted that the proposal intended for Kylen had been received extremely well.
Among all of Arvin's spouses whose souls were bound, only Kylen knew the fact that the feeling of happiness stemmed purely from a cloning magic book.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
A knocking sound suddenly came from the direction of the library entrance. The sound was quite loud and firm, bouncing between the rows of bookshelves and instantly shattering the silence that had been enveloping the room.
Arvin, Kylen, Vian, Tania, Ziona, and Anna simultaneously jolted slightly. All of them immediately stopped their reading activities. The six of them knew very well that the knock from outside was a signal that the King had summoned them.
Not wanting to make the King wait long, they immediately walked to return the books they had been reading back to their original places.
"Your Highness!" a woman's voice drifted politely from behind the tightly shut library doors. "His Majesty the King summons all of you to head to the palace dining room immediately."
"Yes, we will be there shortly!" Kylen answered with a voice loud and clear enough to pierce through the double doors. Then, he quickly stepped over to approach his husband.
"Darling, let's go meet my father in the dining room now!" Kylen said when the distance between them was close, his eyes reflecting mental readiness to face any possibilities that might occur.
Arvin nodded in agreement, his face once again radiating a calm authority. "Let's go! I'm also eager to officially express my intention to propose to you to your father this very day."
The two of them walked over to Vian, Tania, Ziona, and Anna, who had already gathered near the doors.
After Vian opened the library doors, the six of them stepped outside, leaving the room full of knowledge to approach the woman waiting for them.
As soon as they were out in the corridor, they met a woman who was a palace maid.
She immediately bowed her body in respect. "I will escort all of you to the dining room."
