The straightforward and loud sentence that Kylen had just spoken in public seemed to freeze time inside the guild lobby.
Everyone fell silent.
However, the silence that swept over the dozens of pairs of eyes there was not triggered by the Fifth Prince's plan to leave the Flamort Kingdom. Their attention and sanity were entirely consumed by a single name that had just been uttered to describe who the blue-haired youth was.
Not a single person in that room expected that the calm youth wearing the academy uniform of a neighboring kingdom was the heir to the most influential and feared noble family across the entire continent.
The uproar finally exploded, shattering the silence like a bursting dam.
"Wait! Arvin Vedegra?"
"Are my ears deceiving me? Did His Highness just mention the name of that monstrous family?"
"His Highness Prince Kylenciel is willing to throw away his title just to marry a Vedegra descendant?"
Hearing his noble title still being repeatedly mentioned in the murmurs of the crowd, Kylen did not remain silent. He glared sharply at Mr. Kevin and the crowd standing not far from his position.
"Listen to this carefully! My name is now Kylenciel Vedegra, the sixth spouse of Arvin Vedegra! I am no longer a prince of this kingdom!" Kylen declared in an incredibly firm and echoing voice, officially announcing his new identity to the public. "To hell with that title! I don't need it anymore!"
Everyone in the lobby was once again left astounded in silence.
Despite being in a state of shock, the merchants in the guild lobby actually understood the political reality Kylen was experiencing very well. As a member of a royal family whose life was always the center of attention, it was a certainty that the palace would eliminate or discard any member who had the potential to tarnish their good name in the eyes of the public.
However, there was one massive anomaly that kept the merchants' brains thinking hard. That anomaly was none other than Arvin Vedegra himself.
As the descendant of the most respected and feared nobility across the continent, Arvin bore the responsibility of continuing his family's bloodline. Yet, the young noble decided instead to build a household by marrying six men simultaneously, rather than marrying a woman.
To them, Arvin's actions were truly bizarre, nonsensical, and a highly fatal, futile decision.
On the other hand, Arvin, realizing that his time had been wasted just to become a public spectacle, immediately took action. He did not care in the slightest about people's judgments regarding his romance and married life.
"How long will this idle chatter continue?" Arvin said, his voice sounding remarkably calm, firm, and straightforward. "I came to this place with the intention of conducting a business transaction, not to hold a public discussion about who I am or whom I marry."
Spontaneously, Mr. Kevin and everyone in the guild lobby held their breath. Even though Arvin's intonation sounded so calm and straightforward to their ears, without the slightest hint of anger or intention to intimidate in any of his words, it was precisely that calmness that made them shudder in horror.
To them, the blue-haired youth's posture, way of speaking, and gaze radiated the figure of a true leader. His aura felt so thick and dominant, suppressing their instincts to the point where not a single person dared to utter a voice of dissent.
This Young Master is truly extraordinary! No wonder Prince Kylenciel is willing to throw away everything for this man. Mr. Kevin thought in amazement, his eyes looking at Arvin with a new assessment. Even all of us here can directly feel that he is a young noble possessing immense power, his charisma radiating the aura of a king.
Realizing that the youth before him was not someone whose time could be wasted, Mr. Kevin immediately set aside his shock. He returned to acting highly professional, just like a true Guild Master, and immediately attended to Arvin.
"Please forgive our negligence for this inappropriate welcome, Young Master Arvin." Mr. Kevin said while bowing politely. "Please tell me, what items do you wish to sell to our guild today?"
Seeing the man's sudden shift back to a professional attitude, Arvin unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, glad that this drama was finally over and he could immediately focus on continuing his plan to find an inn.
"I would like to ask you a question first, Mr. Kevin." Arvin stated, initiating the transaction between them. "If I were to offer to sell jewelry or a chunk of pure magic crystal... out of those two things, which one would you choose to buy for this guild?"
The question spontaneously stunned Mr. Kevin for a moment.
This is absolutely crazy! Offering jewelry and a pure magic crystal? Mr. Kevin thought, his heart beginning to beat faster. Is Young Master Arvin saying that he has those valuable items right now?!
However, in a matter of seconds, the business instincts of a merchant immediately took over.
"If I may request... could I first see the quality of the magic crystal you mentioned?" Mr. Kevin asked, keeping his tone polite, though his eyes could not hide the flash of overwhelming curiosity and enthusiasm.
"Sure. But remember one thing. Once I take it out in front of you, do not ever look for excuses to cancel our transaction." Arvin warned in a flat tone laden with emphasis. "If that happens, I will be truly angry with you."
Hearing the firm words that sounded like a threat, Mr. Kevin did not feel intimidated in the slightest. On the contrary, he became even more excited. His merchant instincts screamed that this transaction with the Vedegra descendant would bring massive profits to his guild.
"You have my word, Young Master Arvin! I dare to guarantee with my good name and my life that I will not cancel this transaction!" Mr. Kevin replied firmly without hesitation.
Having received the assurance he needed, the blue-haired youth nodded, holding Mr. Kevin to his words.
Then, Arvin swiftly moved his right hand toward the empty lobby floor.
Thud!
An incredibly heavy and loud thud instantly struck the surface of the guild lobby floor, creating a subtle tremor that traveled to the soles of everyone's feet there.
As soon as he turned to the source of the sound, Mr. Kevin's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. The same thing happened to Kylen, the merchants, the nobles, the residents, and all the guild staff in the room. They were all utterly astounded with their mouths wide open, staring in disbelief at the object Arvin had just casually placed down.
Right on the floor, there was a massive chunk of magic crystal.
The magic crystal was dark blue in color with a height of 97 centimeters and a diameter of 65 centimeters, emitting a glow of pure mana light that mesmerized anyone who looked at it.
