Sunflower Dew Nation – The Imperial Capital.
Golden sunlight spilled over the wide, smooth-stone-paved streets, where the vibrant colors of the empire's flags danced in the morning breeze. Despite the breathtaking beauty surrounding the place, Moxie's heart boiled with a bitterness that rivers could not quench.
"Damn that despicable bastard..." – He spat the words through his clenched teeth, his veins bulging as killing intent rose from his body like thick, black mist, enveloping him like a cloak of hatred.
His right arm trembled, not from fear, but from humiliation. It wasn't just degradation... it was a stab to his pride, a painful blow in front of dozens, no, hundreds, who had watched him kneel and apologize with a trembling voice.
"I swear by the Evil Monarch..." – He muttered hoarsely, as if writing a promise in his own blood – "I will not live under the same sky as you... and I will return this day to you... a hundred times, a thousand times... and I will make every moment of it a hell you will never forget."
Moxie was a man who knew only pride. Apologize? Kneel? Such actions did not exist in his dictionary. But today... in the heart of the capital... and under everyone's gaze... that pride was shattered by a single person.
"All of this... because of that damn fatty!!" – He roared like a wounded beast, and kicked a food cart parked nearby with all his might.
The cart shattered, pots of hot food scattered, the young vendor screamed in terror, and a metal pot hit a stone wall, creating a sharp clang.
But Moxie didn't care... His eyes blazed with blood. He was looking for an outlet for his rage... a victim worthy of his hatred... a way to regain some of his stolen dignity.
In the background, a passerby whispered to his friend:
"Isn't that Moxie... the one who knelt today at the Jade Square?"
"Yeah, in front of that mysterious young man... I heard the latter didn't even lift a finger... just a look from him was enough to break him."
"My god... who could he be?"
Those whispers reached Moxie's ears like daggers carving into his bones. His jaw tightened, and his eyes glowed with dark madness.
"You'll see... you bastard... you'll see who Moxie really is..." – He muttered in a thick voice, then turned sharply, his black shadow cloak fluttering behind him as he walked away from the chaos he had created, his eyes gleaming with the promise of revenge.
Moxie walked aimlessly to clear his head, as he needed to calm himself before returning to the Jun Family residence.
After walking for a while, Moxie managed to control his anger, but that didn't mean he had forgotten his hatred. He would make sure to take revenge, as he possessed a very toxic and vengeful personality.
"But for revenge, I need a suitable weapon," – Moxie muttered as his eyes gleamed with hatred and determination. As he walked, his eyes fell upon the Divine Weapons Store. – "Sigh~, let's go and see what this Divine Weapons Store has, and I hope they have goods as good as their name."
Moxie walked towards the Divine Weapons Store and entered with wide, heavy steps, as he also wanted to mess with the shopkeeper to vent some of his anger.
But unfortunately, Moxie did not notice that the man he wished to cut up and drink the blood of was nearby, had seen him enter the Divine Weapons Store, and had even started walking towards the Divine Weapons Store, seemingly intending to enter.
Xichen walked, surrounded by beauties on either side, a playful smile playing on his lips. It was the kind of smile that toys with its prey until it dies of rage.
"Big brother, your face looks very evil," – said Xue'er with a beautiful smile, poking Xichen's cheek affectionately.
"Bad girl, how can you say your handsome brother's face looks like a villain's?" – Xichen smiled playfully, ruffling Xue'er's beautiful hair, and asked Yuechan beside him – "What do you think, Yuechan? Does my handsome, perfect face look like a villain's? Surely not, right?"
Yuechan laughed softly, her voice as gentle as soft melodies on a stringed instrument:
"Your face looks like someone who smiles while pushing others off a cliff... then asks them if the ride was enjoyable."
Xichen laughed heartily, winking at her without replying, before stopping in front of the large door of the shop.
Despite the grand name, it was clear that it did not live up to the required standard. It was at most an ordinary weapon shop owned by one of the noble families or the like. But if a Favored Son of Heaven entered such a shop, he would most likely come out with a treasure, while the poor seller would not know that he had given away an unparalleled treasure for a paltry sum.
Upon entering, they heard Moxie's loud voice, as he seemed to be berating the shopkeeper.
"Huh!!, You dare use a name like Divine Weapons Store when you don't have a single weapon that can cut steel like butter?" – Moxie's dissatisfied voice rang out as he jabbed his finger hard into the shopkeeper's chest – "What kind of Divine Weapons Store is this when your strongest weapon is merely at the True Profound Realm level?"
"..." – While Moxie was berating the shopkeeper, his attention was completely focused on a simple-looking silver-colored stone with many cavities.
"I beg your pardon, young master, but for such requests, you must go to the Black Moon Merchant Guild, as they are the ones who possess treasures like the ones you seek," – said the shopkeeper fearfully and annoyed, as he was afraid of Moxie's background and did not dare to do anything, but that did not mean he was not annoyed by Moxie's treatment of him.
"Damn it, you've ruined my mood, but this young master is willing to forgive you. However, in return, I want to get..." – said Moxie, intending to blackmail the shopkeeper for some free things, but he was interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Shopkeeper, how much for this meteorite metal?" – Xichen's voice rang out. He had been in the shop for a while and saw how Moxie's eyes kept glancing at the meteorite metal stone.
"Welcome to the Divine Weapons Store, dear customer," – hearing Xichen's voice, the shopkeeper perked up, glad that someone was there to save him from Jun Moxie's madness – "This meteorite iron is a bit rare, so it costs 1000 Profound Yalow Coins."
"Alright, I'll take it," – said Xichen without hesitation, took out a random card containing some Profound Yalow Coins, and tossed it to the shopkeeper – "Additionally, I would like to cut some stones as well."
"Thank you, dear customer, I will wrap the meteorite metal for you immediately," – seeing the card, the shopkeeper's eyes widened, and he smiled happily, as the card contained at least 10,000 Profound Yalow Coins, a fantastic sum for him – "As for the stones, the esteemed guest can choose any one, as the price for each is 200 Profound Yalow Coins."
"..." – Moxie froze in place upon hearing Xichen, as he was able to recognize him. He could only bite his lip until it bled, trying to calm himself, as killing intent was fermenting dangerously in his heart.
