Chapter 4: The Evil Wolf Pirates
"Heaven never cuts off all roads for a man."
A smile appeared on Jiang Qize's face.
On the sea to their upper right, two ships were exchanging cannon fire—one of them flying a pirate flag.
"Canglong, speed up and head over there!"
He shouted.
Vroom!!
The Mosasaurus carrying the boat suddenly accelerated, surging through the waves toward the two ships at high speed.
——
On the Yasi merchant ship.
"Father, what should we do…"
Inside the cabin, a cute girl wearing a white princess dress and twin ponytails—Sara—gripped her father's arm in panic.
Boom, boom…
Bang!
Explosions echoed one after another, and the whole ship shook violently.
"Sara, hide inside this crate and don't make a sound, no matter what happens, understand?"
Stanley's voice was low and heavy.
If they were ordinary pirates, he could still use money to buy their way out. But the ones attacking outside were the Evil Wolf Pirates, infamous for slaughtering an entire village. They were ruthless murderers—he couldn't let them board.
Otherwise, none of them would survive.
"Father, what about you…" Sara grabbed his hand anxiously.
"Father will be fine. They just want money… Hurry, hide!"
Stanley urged her sharply.
"Boss, we're out of cannonballs!"
A sailor burst in, shouting.
"I know! Prepare for boarding combat!" Stanley yelled back.
Then he forced his daughter into the crate and stacked things on top to cover it.
Taking a deep breath, he strode out.
"Kill—!"
"Ah—!"
Splash!
Screams echoed all around. By the time he stepped onto the deck, chaos and blood filled his vision.
"Stop!" Stanley shouted.
At once, all the pirates paused and turned toward him.
"Well, well, he actually told us to stop."
"Hahaha! Must be scared, huh? We're the Evil Wolf Pirates!"
"Kill them all and the captain's bounty should hit thirty million, right?"
"At least! Maybe even fifty million!"
The bloodthirsty pirates laughed wildly, showing no respect for their victims.
"You the owner of this merchant ship?"
A hoarse, heavy voice rumbled out.
A massive man, two and a half meters tall, with a torso covered in scars and bulging muscles, stepped forward. His tiger-like eyes gleamed with cruelty, and in his hands he gripped two enormous battle axes.
This was Evil Wolf himself.
"Yes. I'll give you all the money. Just let us go…"
Stanley drew a deep breath and said steadily.
"Killing you works just as well," Evil Wolf sneered, a bloodthirsty grin twisting his face.
At those words, Stanley's heart sank. So it's no use after all…
"Hey… got any food?"
Suddenly, a voice completely at odds with the tense atmosphere cut through the noise, shattering it like glass.
Stanley looked over.
A tattered little boat had pulled up beside them. A handsome young man with long silver hair stood aboard, looking at them curiously.
"Young man, run! They're pirates—murderers without mercy!" Stanley shouted anxiously.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk… Kids these days sure are bold," Evil Wolf said with a cruel smile. "Go kill him."
"Yes, Captain."
Two pirates grinned viciously and advanced toward Jiang Qize.
Jiang Qize shrugged lightly. "Well, in that case, I'll go find it myself."
"Roaaar~!"
Sensing its master's intent, the Raptorex let out an ear-splitting roar. Its powerful hind legs bent, then launched it skyward in a single leap—
—and it pounced.
Slash!
Crunch!
One pirate was instantly bitten in half. The other was torn open by the dragon's claws, his body nearly ripped apart, blood spraying everywhere.
Bang, bang…
"Rooaaar!"
The Raptorex, a top predator whose entire body was a weapon, swung its massive tail across the deck, sweeping through the terrified pirates.
"Courting death!"
Evil Wolf bellowed in fury.
The little brat dared to attack him!
With a roar, he swung his battle axes, the blades howling through the air as they cleaved toward the dragon's tail.
