Chapter 157: Pseudo Railgun

"How to fix it…? Eat more, walk around more."

Jiang Qize rubbed his aching head.

He did want Enel to serve as a fighter, but right now Enel's personality was downright terrifying. If this kept up, his own life was going to be miserable later.

"I understand, Master. I'll go eat now."

Enel said that, then turned and walked off.

"Uh…"

Jiang Qize stared speechlessly at the little guy's back, not even sure what to say.

He felt like he had practically committed a crime.

"Hopefully things get better later. If not, I'm in for a world of trouble."

He shook his head.

Then he headed into Ba wang's laboratory.

"Ba wang, how's the research going?"

"Sir, I've made some progress. Give me two more days and the Image Shells can start mass-producing."

Ba wang replied without even looking up.

"Good."

Jiang Qize nodded.

Image Shells were a type of Sky Shell with functions similar to an image-transmission Den Den Mushi. They could record images and project them again—like a disc, except they didn't need a playback device.

But Image Shells were extremely rare on Sky Island, and their reproduction cycle was far too long.

The reason he had Ba wang studying Image Shells was because this was one of his money-making plans.

He wasn't going to stay on Sky Island for years just to help Camon and the others raise their strength. He needed to earn money too—modifying Sky Island, summoning enhanced dinosaurs… all of that required huge amounts of funds.

Entertainment was scarce in this world.

He was planning to use Image Shells to earn money, basically like selling televisions.

Of course… that was only one of his income sources.

"What's this?"

Suddenly, he noticed something gun-shaped on the table, though it was extremely crude—more like a chunk of scrap metal.

"This is just a toy I threw together when I was bored."

Ba wang glanced over, then picked up the "toy." He placed a metal ball into it, aimed at an iron wall in the lab, and let arcs of lightning surge into the "toy" from his hand.

Bzzz!!

A streak of blue light fired out. The iron ball, wrapped in blue lightning, shot forward like a beam and slammed into the iron wall.

Boom!!

A muffled blast echoed through the wall.

White smoke rose from the point of impact.

Jiang Qize arched a brow and walked over for a look. The iron ball had actually embedded itself several centimeters deep into the wall, and the metal around the impact had even melted.

"A railgun?" he murmured.

He hadn't expected Ba wang to build something like a railgun, even if it used Ba wang himself as the power source. It was still a prototype.

A railgun was undeniably powerful—if it could punch several centimeters into iron, who could survive being hit by it?

"This is a good weapon. When you have time, study it a bit more—see if you can make one an ordinary person can use."

Jiang Qize told Ba wang.

Right now, his focus was still on making money.

Selling weapons would bring in cash even faster, but he wasn't ready to arm potential enemies. It wouldn't be fun if someone used his own creations on him one day.

"Yes, sir."

Ba wang nodded.

"Good. Money first. If you invent anything profitable, tell me."

"Understood, sir."

With that, he headed out.

"Buck, Aisha—neither of you is any match for me!"

On a massive cloud-rock formation floating above the White Sea, three people were locked in a standoff.

The 1.3-meter-tall Camon wore a smug grin at the corner of his mouth. He eyed Buck and Aisha across from him, baring a cruel smile.

"Tch, we were letting you win just now. We're older than you, after all."

Buck said, unwilling to admit defeat.

"Exactly! Come again!" Aisha chimed in.

"Fine by me. I'll beat you both until you admit it." Camon sneered.

He was completely different from before. On his shoulders, two pitch-black holes had appeared, each radiating an icy gleam.
