Chapter 282: The Wind God Returns

He had worked for so long, yet none of his crew were even as strong as he had once been, not even reaching one-tenth of the former Rocks Pirates. So how could a pirate crew that had only been at sea for a single year possess such power?

He absolutely refused to believe it.

"Believe it or not, you have to. The Summoner's strength is already no weaker than yours or mine. And he has at least six subordinates at that level. Otherwise, BIG MOM wouldn't have been left without even a chance to escape!"

  Whitebeard said gravely.

"If you go after the Dragon Flame Pirates for revenge now, he won't let you leave the way I did. The Beasts Pirates might be wiped out right there."

  "That's enough!"

Kaido's face darkened to the point it seemed ready to drip water as he barked coldly.

"BIG MOM is already dead. If something happens to you too, what will we use to rescue the captain? I hope you won't act on impulse!"

Whitebeard replied icily, his tone carrying a trace of warning.

  "I understand."

Kaido then hung up the call.

His expression shifted several times, his eyes complicated.

"Captain…" the other three Calamities looked at him.

  "Find the Caesar Pirates."

Kaido spoke in a low, somber voice.

The three exchanged glances and could only nod.

The meaning was clear—abandon revenge and prepare to claim the title of Emperor!

  …

  Meanwhile, in Totto Land's waters.

The Dragon Flame Pirates were still there, not yet having departed.

On one of the islands, the Dragon Flame was docked at the shore. Along the coastline, one "salted fish" after another lay sprawled across the ground.

Around them, overturned barrels of wine were scattered everywhere. Piles of ashes lay nearby, along with bones gnawed completely clean.

Jiang Qize sat atop a rock, looking down at Robin and the others, a faint smile at his lips.

After learning from the newspapers that the Dragon Flame Pirates had been crowned Emperor, they had thrown a grand banquet.

They had gone wild, venting the excitement in their hearts.

Now, with the sun already high overhead, they still hadn't gotten up.

  "Sir!"

At that moment, a voice rang out from the sky.

He looked up to see the Wind God appearing on the horizon, flying toward them.

  Jiang Qize smiled.

  Whoosh—

A fierce gale swept across the shore, flipping the bodies of Buck and the others who were sprawled on the ground.

The Wind God landed before him.

"Found it?" Jiang Qize asked softly.

"Yes, sir. Found it," the Wind God replied.

"Good. Once they wake up, we'll head out."

  Jiang Qize smiled.

He wanted to see what a black dragon in this world looked like.

He had seen a Millennium Dragon before—it wasn't a divine dragon. But Kaido's Azure Dragon form was a true dragon.

As for a black dragon… it probably wouldn't be far off from a divine dragon.

This world was complicated, after all.

  "Ah…"

Camon let out a low groan as he slowly opened his eyes. Bloodshot veins lined them, his expression dazed—clear evidence of how much they had drunk the night before.

Robin and the others gradually woke as well.

Before long, the place became lively again.

"Hahaha… even after a whole night, I still can't believe my bounty's reached 200 million!"

"Tch, mine's 210 million—ten million more than yours. Am I bragging?"

Buck and Wyper started bickering again.

  "Alright, we're leaving."

  Jiang Qize smiled.

  "Yes, Captain!"

  Everyone shouted excitedly.

The Dragon Flame Pirates set sail once more.

  …

  Marine Headquarters.

"So this is Marine Headquarters. It really is massive."

Aboard the Pluton, members of the Baroque Pirates stared at the enormous fortress, the giant characters for "Marines" emblazoned across it, awe filling their hearts.

Behind Marine Headquarters stood the M-shaped Gate of Justice, towering straight into the clouds.
