Chapter 300: The Marines Arrive

"Fight our way out and grab a warship, then run!"

"There are so many of us—are we afraid of this handful of Marines?"

"Brothers, charge with me!"

Above Impel Down, countless pirates gathered at the only exit.

On the sea, a row of warships lined up. Aboard them stood five Admiral-level combatants and fifteen Vice Admiral-level powerhouses, watching the scene unfold.

"Unbelievable—the Dragon Flame Pirates actually released all the prisoners. We can't let these pirates escape. Otherwise, the seas will fall into even greater turmoil!"

Sengoku stared solemnly at the swarming pirates.

He hadn't expected Magellan and the others to fail to stop the Dragon Flame Pirates—not even long enough to hold out until reinforcements arrived.

From the state of these pirates, it was clear the prison guards inside were already dead.

"Dispose of them. We don't have enough manpower to capture them all."

Akainu said coldly.

These pirates were the result of decades of Marine arrests. Now that they had all poured out at once, there simply weren't enough soldiers to detain them.

Killing them all was the best outcome.

"My, my… how scary. They all ran out."

Kizaru maintained his usual leering expression, hands in his pockets, squinting at the pirates.

"Then kill them," Sengoku decided after a brief pause.

"My, my… then I'll handle it."

Kizaru let out a strange chuckle and leapt into the air.

He hovered midair.

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

His voice rang out.

Countless dazzling light bullets appeared in the sky.

They rained down toward the pirates below.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh…

Boom boom boom boom…

Explosions erupted one after another.

"Ahhh!"

The pirates below were engulfed by the dense barrage of light. Some were pierced clean through and killed instantly; others were blown apart when the projectiles struck the ground.

In short, nearly all of them were wiped out in a single wave.

A few who realized something was wrong turned and ran back inside.

But most of the pirates were annihilated at once.

Tap.

Kizaru landed back on the ship, returning to his lazy demeanor.

His task was complete.

"Finish early, go back early, sleep early," he muttered with half-lidded eyes.

"They're coming out!"

Monkey D. Garp stared gravely at the gates of Impel Down.

From within, shadowy figures began to emerge one by one.

"The Summoner himself came… just for Crocodile?"

Sengoku said heavily as he spotted Jiang Qize.

As captain of the Dragon Flame Pirates, if Summoner Zé had appeared, did that mean the rest of the crew was nearby?

If so, even the entire Marine Headquarters might not be enough to suppress them.

"This just got troublesome."

Worry clouded Sengoku's eyes.

"What's even more troublesome is behind them."

Garp's gaze settled on Redfield.

The Lonely Red had once battled Fleet Admiral Kong for half a month. Only when Redfield's stamina gave out had Garp personally stepped in to capture him.

And now he was free.

Worse yet, it seemed he had already drunk pirate blood to restore his strength.

That was the real problem.

"Tch. Everyone's here except Z."

Jiang Qize stepped out with the pirates behind him, smiling faintly at Garp and Sengoku.

"Summoner Zé, since you've come to Impel Down, you won't be leaving!"

Sengoku declared coldly.

Even if they might not win, the threat had to be made—their presence and momentum had to hold.
