Her favorite subject is history.
Particularly time period or geography.
She loves the ancient world,
Listens to classical music,
And is really good in making essays about them.
Even years later, I sometimes saw her buy history encyclopedias and historical fantasy novels at the local bookstore.
There was a time, a long time ago, a school event where if we can manage to answer all trivia's, we can win prizes.
She and I were among the contestants. She managed to get into the finals but lost. I won but I was hoping she would win it .
She may spent most of her time at the library but I don't think she likes studying that much.
I ranked first in academics, she just passed.
She's the class president in her class, while I don't hold an office. I prefer not to.
She maybe surrounded with people now and then, but she looks lonely most of the time.
I have classmates and eventually friends who surrounded me most of the time, but I don't have the nerve to go and say hi.
....
She's not good in singing,
But she knows how to play the piano.
Because of her, I tried to learn how to play piano and other instruments too.
I want to play her music because I know she loves it .
She tried auditioning at the school choir. It ended badly. But she kept smiling though I knew how much she loves to sing more than playing the piano.
....
Because she's short, she's barely invited to school sports events back then. I used to play several sports hoping she might notice me.
I'm not skinny at this time as my parents got a better paying job.
I tried to dress better,
Eat more,
Exercise more,
Tried to be more sociable.
But I still don't have the guts to speak to her back then.
One day, she bumped into me at the library. She apologized while I simply nodded. Even after she tried making a small talk, I didn't talk. I simple nodded at her.
I was so dumb.
