"The Wolfman Clan?"
When he clearly saw the appearance of these burly men, Naraku Sora couldn't help but freeze, unable to snap out of it for a moment.
Each of them was nearly three meters tall, exuding immense pressure. With wolf heads and human bodies, they were covered in thick fur, their coloring identical to that of an Akita.
Of course, there was no shortage of those with almost entirely bestial forms. Sharp claws grew from their thick limbs, grinding against the gravel beneath them with a grating sound.
A brutal and violent aura washed over them. Pairs of bloodshot eyes locked onto the Soul Reapers who had intruded upon their settlement, emitting low growls that sounded like roaring car engines.
"Soul Reapers, this is not a place you should be."
"The Wolfman Clan's settlement does not welcome any outsiders!"
"Get out!"
Facing such a group of powerful creatures that made no effort to hide their wild nature, even though he couldn't sense much Reiatsu, their sheer numbers and massive physiques were enough to bring about an intense sense of oppression.
Just as the two sides were locked in a standoff, heavy footsteps echoed from the depths of the darkness, and the wolfmen tactfully parted to the sides.
A massive figure, akin to a small mountain, appeared in their line of sight. A low roar followed, accompanied by a strong, metallic stench of blood on the wind.
"Soul Reaper brat, you have violated our pact with Lord Genryūsai by trespassing into the Wolfman Clan's settlement and disturbing our peaceful lives."
A giant white wolf appeared before them. Its burly body was covered in messy fur, and a hideous scar on its forehead nearly spanned its entire skull, making it look exceptionally terrifying.
When this figure appeared, the scene instantly fell silent.
Clearly, this white wolf was the leader of the Wolfman Clan.
"Pact?"
Naraku Sora was puzzled.
The giant white wolf gave a slight nod. Its head-sized claws pressed down slightly, instantly caving in the ground, as if it were suppressing some uncontrollable instinct.
Its blood-red eyes stared intently at the two figures not far away, a flash of greed passing through the depths of its gaze.
Urahara Kisuke felt a chill run down his spine from being stared at, and he subconsciously hid behind Naraku Sora.
Although the Prison Warden often squeezed people dry without any bottom line, there was no doubt that being by his side provided an unprecedented sense of security.
Whether he could win a fight was another matter entirely.
Just the sheer amount of aggro his mouth could draw was enough to make enemies lock onto him as their priority target.
In Yamamoto's words, this kid was great in every way, except for the fact that he had a mouth.
"According to the terms of the pact, any soul or Soul Reaper who trespasses into the Wolfman Clan's settlement shall be dealt with at the clan's discretion."
A sinister light flashed in the giant white wolf's eyes as it spoke again.
"I won't make things difficult for you. Offer up one of your hearts, and you may leave in peace."
"If you choose to put up a stubborn resistance, the price you pay will be far more than that."
Hearing this, Naraku Sora laughed out loud.
"There's no need for that. I came here today to pick a fight."
"Who among your Wolfman Clan is the strongest fighter?"
"Forget it. You all just know how to bare your fangs and hiss. Why don't all of you come at me together?"
Upon hearing these words, the expressions of all the Wolfman Clan members instantly became exceptionally ferocious. Even the white wolf found it difficult to suppress the spreading anger.
*What a joke!*
*It was one thing for them to refrain from causing chaos in the outside world, but for this Soul Reaper to actually dare come knocking on their door to pick a fight?*
Even though the Wolfman Clan wasn't well-known in the Soul Society now, they had been illustrious centuries ago. Any random member they pulled out could completely crush a so-called elite Soul Reaper.
Even without any training, an adult member of the Wolfman Clan could unleash a highly formidable amount of Reiatsu.
Compared to the so-called spiritual power talents of those nobles, their Wolfman Clan were the true geniuses!
Therefore.
No matter who had come today, they had to make him pay in blood!
Countless sharp howls echoed through the valley. Visible sound waves converged into a tide, spreading in all directions with enough force to pierce the clouds and shatter stone.
Urahara Kisuke stared at the scene before him, dumbfounded.
He once again gained a new understanding of Naraku Sora's taunting skills. With just two or three sentences, he had drawn the aggro of every single wolfman onto himself.
It was somewhat self-sacrificing of him.
*'Lord Naraku, I'll follow you in my next life too.'*
The white wolf's expression also suddenly darkened, undisguised malice flowing through the depths of its eyes.
Its previous words were originally intended to make these two Soul Reapers turn on each other for a chance at survival, escalating into a fight to the death.
By then, whether both ended up heavily injured or one died while the other was maimed, it would be an excellent outcome.
Devouring a Soul Reaper's heart while enjoying a slaughter born of human malice would be absolutely perfect.
However, the Soul Reaper brat opposite him clearly wasn't playing by the rules.
*'Forget it. It doesn't matter.'*
*'I'll just kill him first.'*
He was currently in desperate need of a heart to extend his life.
With a low growl that sounded like muffled thunder, the Wolfman Clan instantly rioted. Chaotic and disorderly Reiatsu immediately whipped up a frenzy, rolling forward with overwhelming momentum.
Their bestial instincts were instantly awakened.
The wolfman standing at the very front launched the first attack. He lowered his body, his thick limbs bending slightly as his muscles bulged.
The moment he assumed a pouncing posture, the ground beneath his feet cracked, and he hurtled forward with a howl.
A foul wind rushed forth alongside his sharp claws. Even from a distance, his Reiatsu had already locked onto Naraku Sora's face.
The wolfman stared fixedly at the youth's figure, as if he could already see the other party being torn to shreds by him, a tyrannical and cruel smile surfacing on his face.
However, in the next second, the sole of a straw sandal appeared in his field of vision, continuously enlarging until it occupied his entire sight.
Bang!!!
Within the massive valley, the enormous body smashed through the rock wall, kicking up countless clouds of dust as it tumbled outward, finally crashing heavily against another cliff face.
From start to finish, he only had time to let out a single whimper before completely passing out, losing all combat capability.
Seeing this, the members of the Wolfman Clan all revealed expressions of shock.
*'To think a Soul Reaper who doesn't even have a Captain's haori could be this strong?!'*
*'No wonder he dared to come challenge us alone...'*
As if he had casually kicked aside an inconspicuous pebble on the side of the road, Naraku Sora looked at the Wolfman Clan, who had come to an abrupt halt, and revealed a friendly smile.
"If you guys aren't coming over, then I'm going to come to you."
Under the white wolf's astonished gaze, that frail-looking figure actually took the initiative to walk toward their Wolfman Clan, and his aura was continuously rising.
Visible, materialized Reiatsu lingered around his body.
Countless tiny sparks of electricity slithered out like snakes, spreading into branches that resembled tree forks, greedily licking every inch of the surrounding air.
It caused his muscles to instantly contract and expand, bringing about heart-palpitating strength and speed.
Naraku Sora took a step forward. The heavily cracked ground instantly caved in, rippling out a ring of white air waves. Like an angry dump truck, he charged.
Wrapped in hurricane winds and lightning, he crushed walls, obstacles, and everything else not worth mentioning into dust.
Wherever he passed, massive bodies were sent flying, launching high into the sky before plummeting from dozens of meters up like dumplings dropped into boiling water, smashing deep craters into the earth.
They had absolutely no power to fight back.
In no time at all, the only ones left of the besieging Wolfman Clan were the elderly white wolf and a red-furred wolfman standing in the corner, dumbfounded and wearing a look of sheer disbelief.
"Soul Reaper, you are indeed very strong."
The white wolf put away its contempt, but an almost tangible greed surfaced in the depths of its eyes.
As the leader of the Wolfman Clan, he had lived for an unknown number of years, relying on an inherited secret technique of devouring hearts.
The more powerful the entity, the better the effect of its heart.
If he could eat the heart of the guy in front of him, he could extend his life by at least a century.
Although the pact strictly forbade harming Soul Reapers, who asked this guy to trespass into the Wolfman Clan's territory?
*'I'll just take that fresh, beating heart as compensation.'*
A red glint flashed in the white wolf's eyes. Its already exaggerated physique expanded once again with the surging of its Reiatsu. A heavy, oppressive aura instantly permeated the air, causing the earth to let out cracking sounds as if unable to bear the burden.
"But if you underestimate me because of that, you are gravely mistaken!"
"Pay the price for your offensive behavior, Soul Reaper!"
Seeing this scene, Urahara Kisuke, who was watching the battle from afar, revealed a surprised expression.
The Reiatsu of this old white wolf had actually surpassed that of an ordinary Captain, and it was still rising continuously, as if it had no limit.
No wonder it hadn't fled after seeing Naraku Sora's performance, but instead took the initiative to walk toward him.
So this was where its confidence lay.
If it had been any other Captain who came here, they might have actually perished in this place.
*'Unfortunately, you are facing a completely different kind of monster.'*
Thinking of this, a trace of pity appeared in his gaze as he looked at the white wolf.
The moment the roar sounded, Reiatsu condensed into a physical form, wrapping around its limbs. The white wolf lowered its body, and a terrifying power, like surging ocean tides, instantly erupted.
The terrifying, mountain-like figure flashed past, wrapped in a hurricane as it howled forward.
Its mighty momentum blotted out the sky and the sun, causing the entire valley to tremble as darkness descended.
Just as it was preparing to crush him, it suddenly saw that figure, as tiny as an ant, raise his hand.
Above that clean palm, an azure radiance ascended. Like a calm sea suddenly covered by dark clouds, wisps of lightning flashed within it.
A suffocating aura instantly filled the air.
From several meters away, the moment Naraku Sora clenched his five fingers together, a deafening boom erupted alongside his movement. The atmosphere around him detonated as if it had been blown apart.
It was as if countless bolts of lightning had descended simultaneously.
The hurricane raging between heaven and earth came to an abrupt halt. The terrifying Reiatsu gathered into a single beam and, guided by his arm, shot forward.
The white wolf's breathing suddenly stagnated, just like the scene from hundreds of years ago when it had faced off against Yamamoto.
Under the gaze of those cold eyes, it couldn't even muster a single thought of resistance, standing frozen in place, absolutely terrified.
Stepping forward, the knuckles descended, and a roar erupted.
In an instant, the valley shook, scorching winds raged, and a pillar of blazing fire shot straight into the sky!
The impact covered the entire valley. The earth within a hundred-meter radius shattered and collapsed, as fragile as tofu dregs.
The world changed color.
By the time the aftermath subsided, the massive valley had been nearly leveled, forming a basin that looked like molten magma. A giant, charred figure lay prostrate on the ground, its aura incredibly weak.
It was clearly on its last breath.
Watching this exaggerated scene, Urahara Kisuke only felt a chill run down his spine.
Compared to when he used the Tenshintai, his Lord seemed to have grown even stronger.
At this rate, wouldn't he be unable to escape this sea of suffering for the rest of his life?
*'Ugh, the agony!'*
After ending the battle, Naraku Sora scratched his head as he looked at the desolate scenery before him, feeling a bit troubled.
The task Yamamoto had given him was to recruit a few fierce warriors to fill the vacancies in the Gotei 13. In the end, he had accidentally gotten too carried away and beaten the entire Wolfman Clan to the ground.
*'Should I just pick a few random ones to take back?'*
Just then, he suddenly noticed a burly figure standing near the previously shattered cliff face.
Unlike the other members of the Wolfman Clan, he was wearing light blue, coarse linen clothes, with a white cloth wrapped around his head.
Aside from his large, dog-like head and thick fur, his appearance was much closer to that of a human.
The large dog stared blankly at the terrifying, apocalyptic scene before him. He had originally planned to save that insolent Soul Reaper at the critical moment to prevent a conflict between the Wolfman Clan and the Gotei 13.
However, after only a brief moment of hesitation, the battle was already over.
Even his grandfather, who controlled the fate of the entire clan and was known as the strongest wolfman, had fallen under that youth's iron fists.
*'Absolutely terrifying!'*
However, just as he was lost in thought, his vision suddenly went dark, and a figure appeared before him.
When he clearly saw that harmless-looking face, the large dog's expression drastically changed. He subconsciously revealed a ferocious look, preparing to counterattack, only to find that the other party showed no signs of attacking.
Naraku Sora sized up the vigilant large dog and grinned.
"Big dog, what's your name?"
Seeing that the Soul Reaper wasn't acting as brutally as before, the large dog slightly relaxed his tense body. After comparing the gap in their martial prowess, he finally spoke in a low voice.
"Komamura... Komamura Sajin."
