Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Dream

After confirming the price with A Gui, Ryan took out more medicinal ingredients.

Most of them were Pure Heart, and a smaller portion was Violetgrass.

He had a lot of them, and his alchemy method didn't consume much of these, so selling them was fine. The only drawback was that they weren't as fresh as the first batch he had just taken out.

Soon, A Gui and Ryan negotiated the specific prices for these Pure Heart and Violetgrass.

Pure Heart remained at 500 Mora per stalk, with a total of 60 stalks, amounting to 30,000 Mora.

Violetgrass was 850 Mora per stalk, with a total of 30 stalks, amounting to 25,500 Mora.

"Mm-hmm, these should be enough for a few days."

Ryan put away the Mora, nodded contentedly, and then walked out of Bubu Pharmacy.

However, just as he exited Bubu Pharmacy, Ryan suddenly noticed a girl nearby who was... dancing?

'No, not dancing... Is she doing calisthenics?'

Ryan looked at the girl beside him with curiosity.

"One, two, Qiqi..."

"Two, two, Qiqi..."

The little girl with light purple hair was stretching her body in the night. Her attire was different from ordinary people's; she wore a purple hat, had a yellow talisman pasted on her forehead, and several other talismans on her body.

"...Zombie?"

Seeing the girl's attire, Ryan subconsciously thought of this word.

"Ah... is she calling, Qiqi?"

"Qiqi is a zombie, yes, but Qiqi has a name, not 'zombie'."

Hearing Ryan's words, the little girl, who had finished her stretching exercises and introduced herself as Qiqi, turned around, looked at Ryan in confusion, and explained.

"Oh, so it's that little fellow who often goes to Jueyun Karst to gather herbs recently..."

"But a zombie... if such a rare existence were refined into an elixir, the quality would surely be excellent, wouldn't it...?"

Ryan recognized the girl in front of him and couldn't help but raise his hand to stroke his chin, muttering.

In his opinion, zombies were even rarer than Adepti, after all, this was the only zombie he had seen in Teyvat.

"..."

Qiqi shrank her neck and carefully retreated backward, and after moving a little further from Ryan, she turned and ran back into Bubu Pharmacy.

Having just finished her stretching exercises, her movements were temporarily not as stiff as a zombie's body usually would be.

"I seem to have scared her..."

Seeing Qiqi run off, Ryan finally reacted and scratched his head.

"It seems I can only look for this little zombie next time... No, I need to leave quickly! She might be going to call an adult to beat me up!"

Ryan shook his head regretfully, but quickly thought of something and immediately fled Bubu Pharmacy without looking back.

After crossing the lotus pond and returning to Feiyun Slope, Ryan first found a small restaurant to fill his stomach, and then looked for a place to stay.

Soon, Ryan found an inn called Wangshu Inn near the North Wharf of Liyue Harbor.

The inns in the bustling area of Feiyun Slope were too expensive for him to afford, so he could only come here.

After simply paying ten thousand Mora, Ryan got a reasonably spacious resting room.

"Such a soft bed... even more comfortable than Master's feathers..."

"I'll get a good night's sleep, and start looking for materials tomorrow..."

Ryan, who had flopped onto the bed, quickly fell into a deep sleep... "Ryan..."

"Ryan..."

In his dream, Ryan vaguely heard Cloud Retainer constantly calling him.

"Master... what's wrong...?"

Ryan responded groggily.

"Nothing, it's just that I'm worried about you not coming home for the night, so I specifically sent you a dream to tell you it's time to sleep, don't stay up late."

Cloud Retainer's voice came again.

Hearing this, the groggy Ryan suddenly became much more awake.

"Master, you sent me a dream just to tell me to go to bed early and not stay up late?"

Ryan in the dream widened his eyes in disbelief, and in front of him, Cloud Retainer manifested the form of a crane in the dream.

"Ahem, I saw that you weren't fully awake yet, so I was just making a joke to lighten the mood."

Seeing Ryan's wide eyes, Cloud Retainer raised her wing to cover her mouth and lightly coughed twice, explaining.

"Alright, then Master, do you have any instructions?"

Ryan nodded, feeling a little dejected.

Even though he was in a dream, he still felt very sleepy.

"It's like this, do you still remember when you went to Liyue Harbor to deliver medicine to Ganyu last time?"

Cloud Retainer no longer joked and confirmed with Ryan if he still remembered this matter.

"I remember, it was ten years ago, delivering the Mind Soother Pill to Senior Sister Ganyu."

Ryan nodded.

He rarely left Jueyun Karst, so his memories of each trip down the mountain were quite vivid.

Actually, that trip wasn't specifically for delivering medicine; it was mainly to borrow human saliva essence from Ganyu, and it just so happened that after refining it, giving it to her counted as a thank you.

"Mm, it's good that you remember."

"That child Ganyu has been so busy ever since she went to Liyue Harbor; she rarely gets a good rest. Since you're in Liyue Harbor, why don't you go and deliver her another Mind Soother Pill?"

Cloud Retainer suggested to Ryan.

Ryan's Senior Sister Ganyu, like Ryan, was a child raised personally by Cloud Retainer. After the God War ended over two thousand years ago, she remained in Liyue Harbor to work, serving as a Secretary of the Liyue Qixing.

Her work was very demanding; she handled everything personally instead of delegating, so her rest time was far less than that of mortals. Even though she had half the blood of an Adeptus, thousands of years of exhaustion still made her appear fatigued, and she occasionally experienced drowsiness.

"Mind Soother Pill, I remember the ingredients are quite easy to find..."

"No problem, Master, I'll go prepare the Mind Soother Pill tomorrow."

Ryan recalled the elixir recipe and immediately nodded in agreement.

"Good, when you return to Jueyun Karst, I will reward you with a portion of Water Management's treasured immortal tea."

"Hm? Why are you looking at me like that? I won that fair and square with my own abilities!"

...Waking up the next day, Ryan, who hadn't slept well, was listless. He yawned and dragged his drooping tail out of the inn.

As for breakfast, he merely used the cheap breakfast provided by Wangshu Inn to fill his stomach.

"Mind Soother Pill... a certain amount of Pure Heart, a certain amount of Violetgrass, a certain amount of crystal cores, a little Whopperflower Nectar, a trace of human saliva essence..."

Ryan took out the Grand Pill Compendium and glanced at it, quickly confirming the Mind Soother Pill's recipe.

"Last time the Mind Soother Pill used Senior Sister Ganyu's human saliva essence; this time Shenhe's human saliva essence will come in handy... but it seems I'm still missing some Crystalflies. I'll go to Mt. Tianheng and catch a few."

After checking the materials he carried, Ryan quickly confirmed that he was still missing some crystal cores needed to refine the Mind Soother Pill.

He then put away the Grand Pill Compendium and immediately set off for Mt. Tianheng.

Creatures like Crystalflies are formed from pure elemental energy. In Liyue, the nation of Geo element, the most common places to see them are naturally in the mountains.

Leaving Liyue Harbor and arriving at the neighboring Mt. Tianheng, Ryan soon discovered a cave on the mountain path. Deep inside, he indeed saw several Geo Crystalflies wandering around.

Crystalflies are pure elemental energy, so as soon as they are caught, it is equivalent to disrupting the natural flow of elemental energy in their bodies. The Crystalfly's elemental energy will immediately dissipate, leaving only a transparent crystal core.

These little creatures are not as agile as ordinary butterflies in their movements, so Ryan easily caught a few. They immediately lost their wings in Ryan's hand and transformed into glistening crystal cores...
