Chapter 4 - Chapter Two

The heavens were once full of light, the air so sweet and cosy. It was the perfect place to live. The residents, once lively, now seem... drained, darkened, maybe even depressed.

Years ago, there would've been statues of their strongest soldier, Anor, but now all that remains is rubble, or for some, they've replaced with statues of Astra. When Anor lived here, the streets seemed safer, away from God's peeking eyes in the sky. Now the locals live in constant fear of being watched.

Even Astra, despite being treated like royalty on his throne, seems... empty, like a husk of his former self, like a clam void of its pearl. The once former proud civilisation, reduced to a place full of treachery, the people disgusted with their ruler.

Well, this is the case for the lower classes. At least the upper class on the other hand, couldn't be happier. The upper class always found The Cleanser sort of barbaric...

It's understandable why, over time, he went from this graceful warrior to this violent ange- no, not an angel, a creature if that. The hatred of the upper class for Anor grew over time. When he officially spoke out about The God's unjust treatment on the mortal world, referring to him as a "tyrant bent on power," even bringing up the existence and punishment of "The Prisoner," the upper class knew and were relieved they could finally get rid of him, branded as a traitor.

In the courtroom, Astra was put up as a witness, expected to testify on Anor's side. But instead, went against his former best friend. The two did everything together, were roommates for years. But against all odds, Astra betrayed Anor. Anor, The Savior, The Cleanser, The Holy Blade, and The Spirit of the Crimson Moon. Betrayed by Astra, The Slayer, The Holy, The Spirit of the Blue Moon.

After the final verdict, the tyrant himself came out, stripping Anor of his holy light, cursing him to torment. His skin turned pitch black, his eyes red, his hair jet black, all the muscle his angelic body once had gone, reducing him to bone. Even the throne angels on his head turned black and their eyes red.

And finally stripped of his titles and belongings, was banished to the depths bearing the memories of his "best friend" betraying him.
