The clash within the mental realm seemed to last a long time, yet in the real world only a few seconds passed.

To Raven and the others, it appeared as if Lancelot and Emma had merely frozen for a brief moment—then the vigilance on Emma's face vanished.

The White Queen came back to herself and walked toward Lancelot with light, graceful steps. Her eyes overflowed with unmistakable affection.

Under everyone's gaze, Emma stopped in front of Lancelot and kissed him deeply.

"Compared to family bonds, what I truly desire is love. I like the feeling of being loved."

Emma clearly remembered everything that had happened in the mental realm. Geass had not distorted her memories.

Emma was still Emma—freed, not broken.

Geass, rather than being an absolute command, was more like a suggestion that transcended the mind itself.

Because of that suggestion, every time Emma looked at Lancelot, a gentle warmth welled up in her heart. She knew this was an emotion she had never possessed before.

Emotion.

This was what family felt like.

She didn't find it strange—on the contrary, she felt genuinely happy. At last, she had family. She was no longer alone.

"Mystique Raven, Phantom John, Gambit Remy LeBeau, Silver Fox Kara, Tank Fred, Cyborg Bradley."

After breaking the kiss, Emma smiled and calmly called out the names of the mutants behind Lancelot one by one.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, fellow mutants. From today onward, I—Emma Frost—am the wife of your king, Lancelot. Your queen."

Her smile was elegant, but her words made Raven frown instantly.

"I am our king's lover," Mystique said coldly, glaring at Emma as her entire body transformed into Emma's appearance—only with even more exaggerated proportions.

"Impressive, Raven. Your mutant ability is fascinating."

Emma looked at Raven with surprise, then lightly tapped her own temple.

"Change back, Raven. I don't want to see another me."

Her voice was gentle and refined—but her telepathic power was overwhelming. In an instant, Raven's eyes went blank, and her body reverted to her original form.

"Bitch—what did you do to me?" the younger Mystique snapped angrily.

"I merely want you to understand one thing," Emma said coldly, finally baring her fangs.

"I, Emma Frost, am Lancelot's lover."

"All right, girls. We still have work to do."

Seeing the two women on the verge of fighting, Lancelot calmly intervened.

"Yes, my king."

"Of course, Lancelot—my love."

Mystique and Emma responded at the same time, then moved to stand slightly behind Lancelot, one on each side.

Bang.

Lancelot wrapped an arm around each of them. The mutants formed a circle as Phantom John activated his teleportation ability.

In the blink of an eye, everyone vanished from the office.

Soviet Union — A Secret Military Base

General Maxim Ivanov sat in his office, staring grimly at the military deployment map before him.

As the most radical general in the Soviet Union, Maxim had always advocated conquering the superpower across the ocean through force.

But after receiving a report from the KGB, he fell into stunned silence.

Within the American CIA, there existed a team of super soldiers with extraordinary powers.

"Oh… they're called mutants. The X-Men."

Removing his reading glasses, Maxim felt his worldview collapsing.

He looked down at the intelligence documents collected by elite Soviet agents—Red Room Black Widow Nyura among them.

The files listed powerful mutants in detail: Professor X, Magneto, Siryn, Havok, Beast, Mystique, Raven, Darwin, the Hellfire Club, Riptide, Azazel, and the White Queen, Emma Frost.

At first glance, Maxim thought Hydra had returned.

But after reading deeper, he realized these beings were far more terrifying than Hydra.

No—mutants could no longer be called human.

Maxim called them freaks. Monsters.

The moment he learned of their existence, he altered Soviet strategy—ordering the KGB and Red Room to search the entire Soviet Union for mutants.

As for the next nuclear deployment in Cuba?

In Maxim's eyes, war between humans was insignificant compared to exterminating mutants.

After analyzing all mutant-related intelligence, Maxim made a firm decision.

He would immediately report to the World Security Council and mobilize the Scientific Strategic Division—uniting all of humanity to destroy mutants.

To kill mutants.

"Come in."

Maxim pressed the button on his desk.

Then his expression changed.

Boom.

A faint sonic boom echoed through the room as several figures suddenly appeared in his office.

"Who are you?"

Maxim sprang to his feet, staring in shock at the young Asian man before him.

"Emma," Lancelot said calmly, glancing at the panicked Russian-speaking general.

Snap.

At Lancelot's command, Emma snapped her fingers gracefully, using telepathy to translate Maxim's words directly into Lancelot's mind.

"Y-you… are you mutant freaks?" Maxim blurted out in horror.

"Freaks?"

Lancelot's gentle smile froze into icy contempt.

"That's the mindset of a human child."

Without any order being given, Gambit Remy raised his hand and flicked a playing card.

Boom.

Even without detonating its kinetic charge, the card slammed Maxim to the ground.

"Monsters… you're all monsters…"

Struggling, Maxim secretly pressed the ring on his finger—a concealed distress signal.

If activated, the KGB's elite troops would surround the office within ten seconds.

Ten seconds passed.

Nothing happened.

Desperate, Maxim pressed it again.

"Don't bother," Bradley said coldly from behind Lancelot, one hand against his temple.

"I've already cut off every communication in this room."

"Look at me, bastard."

Satisfied, Lancelot turned his gaze back to Maxim.

Instinctively, Maxim looked up.

"Destroy all information related to mutants," Lancelot said calmly, activating Geass.

"And build a mutant base for me. Continue until it is completed."

This was the real reason Lancelot had come.

Although the CIA was under his control, mutant intelligence had still leaked—and reached the Soviet KGB.

He was here to erase it.

More than that, Lancelot intended to secretly control the Soviet Union through Maxim—and use its vast resources to support mutants and the House of Evolution.

"Yes… understood."

A crimson bird flickered briefly in Maxim's eyes as he replied in a flat, obedient voice.
