The figure on the helicopter revealed himself: Tang Lei, Kai's long-time rival and someone connected to Li Wei's mysterious past. His smile was cold, predatory. "Looking for answers?" he taunted. "They always come at a price."
Li Wei's pulse raced. Every word, every glance from Kai seemed to promise both safety and peril.
Kai turned to him, voice low and intense. "Li Wei… there's something I've hidden. My life, Silver Tower, the things I've done… you might not survive knowing them."
