The creature's body trembled once before completely going still.
Its massive form crashed fully against the ground and the chamber fell quiet.
West landed lightly as the purple mist faded and the glow around him dimmed.
He let out a lengthy exhaled as rushed footsteps echoed through the vicinity.
Tara, Derek and Mei burst into the chamber thinking West was in trouble due to the loud blasts they heard earlier.
They came in ready to help save him but what they saw, stopped them in their tracks.
A massive corpse with its head split in half and blood pooling across the ground.
And a figure standing before it calmly, holding a blade without so much as a scratch on his body.
Their minds went blank.
"…What the hell?" Derek whispered.
Tara's eyes were widened as she locked onto the creature before sweeping towards West.
"…How?"
